Tom Werner, on D&C, mentioned that it was the Grandfather of JFK (Honey Fitz Fitzergald or something) who threw out the first pitch a century ago. After watching Royal Rooters a while back, it was Honey Fitz who threw out the first pitch. Back then, it was done from the seat that the first pitch thrower was occupying. It sounds like whoever will be throwing out that pitch will be doing it in a similar fashion to that of Honey Fitz 100 years ago. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a politican or public figure who throws the pitch from his or her seat--if Werner was being sincere.
