I don't really get it. At least Freeman has done something before. Goldschmidt is a complete unknown. If you projected his numbers from last year out over 500 ABs, you're looking at 25-26 HR. But since he has never done it over a full season, I don't think that those handful or so of HRs over Freeman are worth the risk. What Freeman lacks in upside compared to Schmidty, he seems to make up for many times in predictability.
