feedback on the feedback survey (recursive!) those comment boxes for the "other" options are really small, writing 3 words fill up the box already.
shitty hardware + shitty drivers = shitty experience. Surprisingly, many linux distros come with better multitouch support than than windows, and that says a lot, considering that linux drivers are often second-rate (I'm looking at you nvidia), and the community has to come up with its own solution.
@marcchambers "Developers were previously limited to a C derivative that ran in an emulator on the device, limiting functionality and responsiveness on the platform."I don't think that was meant as a jab....? In fact, wouldn't being a C derivative almost be a complement due to the fact that nothing has come close to it?
@BrianSHall Btw its parent company is Time Warner, not Time Warner Cable. AOL and Time Warner Cable was spun off 3 years ago
Ok, going after open source projects is a very dickish move. Most of the web relies on these technologies, and while many of these projects do have commercial arms (wordpress.org & wordpress.com/automattic, mysql), are just a bunch of volunteers trying to make a web a better place (eg: PostgresSQL, Apache). Hopefully, yahoo won't pursue this, since it will get ugly. Regarding memcached, it's used on a lot of sites, I wonder if Pando is using it since it does support wordpress. If it is, then lets hope that @sarahcuda won't have to send a check to yahoo every month a couple years from now. How weird would that be?
