Would Augusta think 20 odd years was long enough and let McCord back?

@ekt8750 Agree with the HD thing,(though i would be happy for SD for now) I never watch Pac 12 games because they're SD only and i never go down to the SD 'hood for sports

Well the article on content was okay, but you didn't do any reporting on the underlying problem, NO ONE CAN SEE IT! You didn't talk about status between Fox and carriers about growing viewership, are they still at 37M, more, less? If I'm a contracted sport and they put a premier event of mine on FS2 with so few eyes, I know which network i'm not signing my next contract with
Didn't watch it, I was there! Did watch the tape on a friends Beta Max!

The probable FS1 plan for 2016, and probably most successful from a ratings standpoint against Gameday, throw huge money and win the EPL back from NBCSN

Not quite apples to apples, but I wonder how @dpshow feels about their @nbcsn bumps too. They have their Direct TV i know, but curious if it bothers them as much as Francesa lets it get to him.

I'm thinking they are going to have a need for FS2 to grow because next June they will have a weekend with Women's World Cup, US Open Golf, and NASCAR to telecast at the same time

They did have a successful studio show, Race Hub that actually expanded from 30 to 60 minutes , plus they will add a good amount of Sprint Cup and Nationwide (new name coming) racing coming starting in Feb.,which may be as important as a second impression as baseball will be.
The Sat morning re-airs will be nice to sample if attempt 2 is better than last seasons effort. I did enjoy Klatt last year, and the additions of some well connected insiders should make it worth a look see at least.

This is good news. Now the greedy viewer in me asks if we'll get the HD feed, or get a Pac-12 SD feed, which i rarely turn on because it's not in my HD tier(hint)! And in this spirit of cable growth, if COMCAST and FOX could supply me FS2 i would appreciate it also, even the SD version of that would be a help.

Don't know how it does for numbers, but they invest a lot of hours on the Tour De France in July, and it'll be interesting to see if WC eyes give the MLS a look in July
7 months ago on Conversation @ http://awfulannouncing.com/2014/nbcsn-has-a-record-first-half-of-the-year.html
Fox has zero issue with double dipping, see NASCAR coverage and Michael Waltrip as exhibit A. But to extend this out, would you not use Landon Donovan as ESPN is using him during the WC, or NBCSN that uses Tim Howard during the EPL season? Crossovers are so 2014 as good or bad as they may be.

@villageidiotintern You'd hope someone somewhere learns. In '86, if TV screwed up there was little PR about it unless it made USA Today's TV column. In this era of social media and blogging, you'd think the ways you get exposed after a TV screw up would teach someone what the viewers want. But I'm just a humble TV viewer, what do I know.

And on top of the duel views,is the fact that it is not even half of your screen, the split is boxed so there is as much of your big screen showing nothing, just grey. Stick the side stories in a small box on the lower corner of the screen, or add another channel to the WatchESPN site where along with the in car views we can have a WAG channel.
B1G has contracts upcoming which will shift numbers again. Like everything these days, timing is everything in relation to standing

I believe the presentation is hurting the package. New fans bail because the commercial load is heavy (and this year is still the old contract, I shudder about increased ads under the new contract), the Waltrips have become a love or hate duo, with less n less loving. The core is also still unhappy with constant NASCAR changes, and also not pleased with the FOX/FS1/Speed results. The racing has been very good this year, too bad the eyeballs are diminishing.
9 months ago on Conversation @ http://awfulannouncing.com/2014/nascar-on-fox-hitting-record-low-ratings.html
As a NASCAR fan i'm not sure ridiculously is the term you should be using. While not the numbers they had pre 2008, the sport is a consistent rating leader on weekends, followers are very loyal to their sport, and the news/info shows are minimal when compared to other sports, which have networks devoted to their sports. Luckily FS1 has the NASCAR connections it has or it might be a real dumpster fire of a channel.

They actually show a fair amount of live events, the trick is getting live events that have mass appeal. There aren't that many sports out there to get rights to these days.

February will be a huge month for FS1. Super Bowl related activities and Daytona returns with a lot of hours of live NASCAR programming to sell themselves. If the numbers on March 1st still suck, they just ain't gonna dent the WWL and will be dusting off plan B

Caught a bit during the morning, agree that Klatt is good, Travis seemed okay to me too. Caught one segment at the round table and the camera shots were scattershot, tight,,and unable to match up with the person speaking, a bit too confusing for my like. As a NASCAR fan also I have to wonder if Sat. activity from Atl. would not have given FS! a better number that the football show.

A work in progress for sure, but i think a good base is set. Agree that i was surprised no reset at 11PM after the early start. No internet stream still bugs me,I get no App ready, but a web stream should be possible now.

My 2 Early FS1 takes, the plan for split screen commercials during live shows apparently didn't happen, and I get the App is delayed, but no live internet stream is weak. Now back to EPL on NBCSN and their App and streaming,or the Solheim Cup on an App and a stream

Maybe it's as much about the $ and the dot com side.Fox is seriously downsizing their racing online, and somewhere I read about what they said would happen at Charlotte's Speed/Fox studios, and what is happening there because the $ ran dry. ESPN.com has a great set of writers, adding Whitlock would be considered a plus by some.ESPN the TV channel could be secondary in this deal. Then again, what do I know.

Speed has a fair amount of stuff that won't fit into FS1, esp after NCAA football starts. Brotherflounder, Despain said on MRN radio a few weeks ago he is retiring at the end of the year" maybe sooner", so Win Ttunnel may not be on the switch, unless they go without Dave.
