Zen Pinball 2 is my pick for best competitive multiplayer experience without traditional online multiplayer. This is a steal at $9.99 for the three tables and really looks great amongst the array of other Zen Pinball 2 table packs currently available.

@Axe99 Thanks and I'm glad to hear you're interested in playing this game. It is one of those MUST HAVE games along with some form of Uncharted and Gran Turismo. I'm really hoping they announce more DLC. I'd love to see a character from the first Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot, and some other cross promotional characters. MK or DC characters would be cool. I can see this game having like an additional 20 characters by the end of 2013.

That's very devilish of you to call the sequel Plants vs Zombies 2. What if they go with Plants vs Zombies: Wedding Crashers, where instead of zombies attacking your lawn - heavily defended by plants and six lawnmowers (cause everyone has six lawnmowers, let alone zombie-hating plants), they're attacking your wedding day. And they're going after...the cake! Or the brides maids. Yeah. What if?

@Axe99 Nice. I see what you did there!!! This game will indeed pull tricks for money! But I digress, I made a point not to mention similar games. It makes it hard to see Dyad for what it is when all you're imagining is Rez or Amplitude gameplay rolling in your head. Dyad is faster. That's all there is to it.

Here's something interesting to think about: I played Dyad straight for about a half hour, then jumped into some Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing followed by Wipeout on Vita. Both those games felt like I was driving through molasses after playing Dyad. Its like jumping in a hot tub to warm up before jumping in the swimming pool. Burrr.

@Paranoimia @Axe99 We (US) tested all our own localisation. We used documents from the dev and worked really closely with the language departments in Europe to submit text bugs in languages we didn't speak. None of us agreed it was the right way to do it, but it made the submission process much faster by reducing the number of departments a product would pass through.

@Paranoimia  It must be an issue with EU cert, or Sony Europe's Format. They test the game for about 5 days before giving it the okay to be released onto the platform. EU is much more stingy than US. I would tell you how and why from my experience working at Sony, but I would probably be killed in the night by MI6.

@Paranoimia I definitely hear you on this one. I wish too that there was some way to send a message to the developers letting them know how bad you want it. Gosh, if there was only a way.

Seriously though, there is a great interview within the US PlayStation Blogcast with the The Walking Dead devs that talks about the hard work involved in making these episodes. Because these things are building on top of previous episodes, and your decisions are effecting future events, they may have created something most devs wouldn't be able to finish. Lets hope they can finish.

@Axe99 Lol, I worked on every SOCOM prior to S4 and the last thing I would say about it is that it required pure skill. Those games were part memorization, part luck, part optimistic caution. M60E3 was one of the most popular guns in SOCOM history because of "spray and pray" as we called it; pray you get a headshot within the first 10 bullets when aimed at mid-mass.

Though I get what you're saying. If you've ever talked with a hardcore FPS type that favors one game, they will almost always tell you they use pure skill to win. I think what Chet is trying to say is the game is nothing like CoD, and gameplay modifiers or perks is not "pure skill."

@ozlacs I have to agree with you in nearly every way. Every character in gaming could work given what they've done with Fat Princess and Parappa, just amazing. But if they ever did use a DLC model, Sackboy would be abused the most.

This list was longer, so I'd love to hear who you think would or wouldn't be any good in a All-Stars fighting game.

I can't stress enough how obvious it is that these apps Sony is releasing for the Vita have "mobile OS" written all over them.  As opposed to apps made for a gaming console, all these apps will easily fit the glass slippers of a new Sony smartphone sporting the Vita OS rather than Android. Are Vita players just guinea pigs?

For PS Plus subscribers, there are a bunch of free games available for download right now, but I discovered one that was hidden - at least from me.  On the PS Plus page of the PS Store there is a large ad showing I think 6 titles free to Plus people.  The one I had an impossible time finding is called Fatal Inertia, a KOEI knock off of Sony's own Wipeout.  I was able to search for the Trial Upgrade, which was the Free premium content being advertised, but you also need the actual Trial copy as well.  Since I had downloaded it when it was first released it no longer was available to me through the store front.  I had to DIG deep into my Download List to find it.  Over 1100 pieces of downloaded content, it was down toward the bottom.
