@courtsense @ThunderChick2010 Where are you finding good streams? NBA League Pass blacked out this game :(

@Grolgar Pop just didn't have the pieces to counter the moves that Brooks made. I will say those moves were necessary to win and Brooks did make them so credit should be given, but I think if both coaches had equal teams Pop would have won pretty easily.
Brooks did a bad job making adjustments in the finals but he's also been a huge part of the development and the ascension we've experienced so I'm kinda in the middle on all this.
1 year, 8 months ago on Report: Thunder offer Scott Brooks four-year deal
@TheFix82 Only available coach that I'd rather have than Brooks
1 year, 8 months ago on Report: Perk played with partially torn groin last 3 rounds
@delolama The only person I'd rather have is Phil Jackson. I've read he wants to come back to the right situation and this really is an ideal fit for him. Two superstars (possibly three) just needing a coach to push them to the next level. I really think Jackson would come to OKC if we offered it to him. I'd rather have Brooks than anybody else though.
@OBoymuzik Agreed. I think Harden definitely has his moments but he's by far the easiest of the 3 of them to shut down. Harden is normally playing against the second team and when he does play against the first team it's with Durant and Westbrook drawing the lions share of the attention. I feel he has a couple go to moves that good defensive teams have figured out and he's become much easier to stop.
1 year, 8 months ago on Is it all Scott Brooks’ fault?
@Stringer Bell KD will be a better offensive player for sure (I'd say he's there already but he still has trouble with ball denial against certain defenders) and I really do think he's built better for 4th quarters since he he can shoot over whoever. I don't think he'll ever be the defensive player lebron is (his foot work and athleticism isn't side elite side to side) and probably won't ever be the playmaker Lebron is (there's only a couple pg's in the league I'd put on Lebrons level) though.
@Old Man Game @neo12 Once Bosh came back KG became much less effective. I think KG was killing it because the tallest guy was 6'8" though.
@EVDebs @Lost Ones @tydude I think bosh and harden are different but equal 3rd options. Both bring a lot to their teams and are indispensable.

@shiki True. I always have a hard time with projecting how other teams strengths will translate when we play them.
1 year, 9 months ago on A moment in the making: OKC wins in six over the Spurs, 107-99
@wannabeGM I don't think winning the finals is automatic. I think the Celtics come out of the east and they're better defensively than anyone else we've played so far. We're definitely favored but that team scares me.
@Thunderbuzzy @C-Wil A team like Miami who rely so much on two players is more likely to run out of gas than a team like the Spurs who are 10 deep. That's what I think is so amazing about them. They've been this good while spreading minutes around and no one playing more than 35min a game.

@Legendary_dork I do think the Lakers are a lot better than the gentlemans sweep would have you believe and this series could've gone the other way pretty easily. I think the fact that we pulled out the wins says alot about our team and our character but the Lakers are still a great team. I actually think that we were their worst matchup (kinda like the spurs are our worst matchup) which makes the way they played pretty impressive.

@shiki I think Shane is a pretty classy guy and I've always found his thoughts really interesting. I've never heard him talk trash before so if he says the Eastern Conference feels more physical I'm inclined to believe him.
@ThunderStruck2412 @Grolgar I like your optimism for this team. I think the Thunder are an amazing team too and I think we'd beat anyone we play minus the Spurs. This is the one team I think we actually don't matchup well with though. Patient disciplined teams seem to give us trouble since they wait for our defense to break down and guarding the 3 point line is something we have trouble with. Both of these things the Spurs do masterfully. Not saying we won't win. I think we'll all have a better idea of how these teams matcup after game 1. I just wouldn't be angry at this team if they had trouble with the Spurs.
1 year, 9 months ago on Thunder advance to Western Finals in five over the Lakers, 106-90
@ThunderStruck2412 @Grolgar The Spurs have only gotten better since we last played them though. I think we can win but I definitely think the Spurs are the favorites. Wouldn't be surprised if they won in 5
@Skyline Not trying to say you're wrong but I'm curious why you think Miami's next best 3 are comparable to OKC's with Bosh out? Harden would be the #1 option on alot of teams and Ibaka was a canidate for DPOY. Add Perk who many consider the best Post defender in the league and it seems pretty lopsided in OKC's favor.

@EVDebs It doesn't matter what's the best for the players though. The NBA is a business and of course the owners want the players to get as much training before they come to the league as possible. This is the same as a firm only hiring engineers who have a college education. Sure theres people out there who could succeed straight out of high school, but the likelihood of success is smaller than if that same kid went to college first.
Of course engineers don't have the change of injury that NBA players do so theres not the same physical risk, but also no companies have to gamble millions on employees with no track record either so it's a bit unprecedented on both sides.

@sammasaaron @f5alcon @geebee I agree with him on this. If youre a scorer like Durant or Kobe and your only goal is to get 38 points (the lakers are locked in the 3 spot so they don't need the win) and you can take however many shots you need to get there I have no doubt either of them could do that pretty easily against the Kings. I'm really glad Durant is winning this, but I'm pretty sure Kobe could've of won it if his only goal was to score 38 tonight
1 year, 10 months ago on Kevin Durant wins his third straight scoring title
@thejfc I'd rather have a healthy Ginobli over Kobe. Ginobli is very underrated athletically, incredibly smart, and has no fear of the big moments. He also lets the game come to him better than any other SG in my opinion. I think a healthy Ginobli is what Harden can become but he's not quite there yet. (no disrespect to Harden. He's one of my favorite players)

I like KD more, but I still think it's kinda crazy that one game is changing everyones minds. Lebron is still the MVP in my mind if you're going just by the regular season. He has better stats and plays better overall defense. Not sure how you can really make a case for Durant. He scores 1 point more per game but his shooting % is 3% less. His rebounding is the same, but he gets less assists and his PER is way under Lebrons. To put it in perspective the difference between Lebron(#1) and Durant #3) is the same as Durant and Paul Millisap (#15). Throw in the fact that Lebron is in the running for DPOY and I can't really make a case for Durant regardless of how much I'd like him to win.
