@harmlesslyfatal http://westbrookframes.com/ No one has a clue at this point in my opinion.  Comes down to how Knight plays.

He was really, really good against Alabama and not so good the rest of the year.  If he plays like Alabama all year OU is pretty darn good I think.

Almost like he said, "Man, I could have played next to this guys defense all season long and blew it"

Is extend and trade still an option in the NBA today?  Like if we decided to trade Reggie Jackson to a situation he was happy in, could we extend his contract as part of the process?

When you have a skill that is that elite, should be doing it more, not less in my opinion.

It is the worst shot in the game for the average basketball player, but Serge is far far beyond average at those mid range jumpers.

Keep em coming Serge.

@Devine Mortal Kevin Durant does not play in the Oklahoma City Market.  When you are as good as KD is, your market in the whole freaking world.  Anyone in any country can use the internet to watch any basketball game the KD plays.

The whole big market small market thing is way over blown these days.  Mattered in the past, gets less important every year.

Korver should probably make the team.  Just shoot open threes and never touch the ball otherwise.  This team needs someone like that.

@okcjim   Our offense was seventh in the league last year with KD and Russ on the team.  That is not ok to me.

And now our starting line up is getting worse offensively.

We were ok when we had a defensive specialist shooting the 3 ok a year ago.  Thabo falling off a cliff hurt this team offensively.  Roberson cannot even make a free throw...

How many three and D guys do you know that cannot make free throws?

Being seventh in the league with 2 of the top 5 or 6 scorers in the league on the team should not be acceptable.

@L0rv @Zach99 Could work I guess.  We have all seen those games when the bad team makes everything and the good team takes a lot of outside shots that don't fall.

This US team has really good shooting overall though.  A few years ago, team USA's biggest weakness was its shooting, but they have definately fixed that recently.

I think it is not a good gamble at all.

4 weeks ago on Steven Adams, New Zealand ambassador to America

The problem with zone defense is you almost have to give something up.  If you want to protect the paint, you have to pack the zone inside and leave yourself open on the perimeter.

If you want to guard the perimeter, you have to stretch the zone.  This leaves big gaps in the defense that are begging to be attacked.

I just don't see it as being useful against a team with shooters who can also attack the basket.  USA has that in abundance with KD, Harden, Curry, Kyrie.

A bad team might try the pack it in strategy and just hope that the US shooters have a bad day, but I really don't see this as a long term strategy for success.

@L0rv Tough to play a box and 1 when you are dealing with shooters like Curry, Korver, Thompson and Harden at the other spots.

Just having a couple of those guys on the floor would stretch that zone so much.

@harmlesslyfatal http://westbrookframes.com/ @The McAdams Bros This is crazy talk... most teams start their best players and just stagger rotations a bit.

Can just start Reggie then pull him after 7 minutes or so.  Russ plays whole first quarter.  Reggie gets a five minute breather in the first and comes back to start the second and still lead the bench mob.

Starting Reggie and still having a good scorer with the bench is not even challenging.  This argument is silly.

I look at the Telfair signing as a no risk gamble.  Is the guy finally healthy and in a position where he can play a little?  Great.  Put him in there for a few minutes a game.

If he can't play, he is what Royal Ivey was a couple of years ago at the vet minimum.
