I wanted to vote Peter harness or Jamie Mathieson, but obviously I had to go with Richard Curtis.

Tough choice between Kill The Moon and In The Forest Of The Night, but eventually I decided on Kill The Moon. Sounds pretty scary and intense.

"The one with the bow tie" is probably the teacher that was next to Clara in one of the preview clips. He lools strangely like Matt Smith and has a bow tie.

Don't want to sound cynical here, but I have a feeling the AI is going to be pretty low again like the previous episodes. Which personally, I don't get because this Series has been awesome so far (except Robots Of Sherwood)

This episode looks amazing. Cannot wait.
(By the way, if we don't get a cameo from Ian, I will hunt down Moffat and Roberts and make them pay.........just saying)

Is this even a question? I adore both Blink and Listen. They are both 10/10 quality episodes. But Blink is one of the best pieces of drama ever made in the history of television.
2 months, 1 week ago on Face-Off: Blink vs Listen
I guess it could be that Missy was the woman in the shop who set them up. Apparently for reasons of her own agenda. I've got a theory that she could possibly be a time lady who used to be the Doctor's "girlfriend" on Gallifrey. It also could be possible this whole scheme, including Clara influencing the Doctor's life, could possibly be connected to bringing Gallifrey back?
We'll have to wait and see.

Night Terrors. Only really good one he's written.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Face-Off: The Gatiss Episodes
I'm very impressed with Jenna and her character this season. In fact, she was probably the one part about Robot Of Sherwood that I enjoyed (because Capaldi was written too much like Smith in that episode)
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Mission Impossible: Clara Oswald in Review – Part 1
This looks like it's going to be the best episode of the series so far. The first 2 were just pretty good, and Sherwood was not very good TBH, but this looks amazing.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Next Time: Listen
Typical average Mark Gatiss episode. Weakest of the series so far. Can Moffat just STOP bringing Gatiss back? He's a mediocre writer at best (excluding An Adventure In Space And Time and Night Terrors)

@DaftDalek is Ceter Papaldi When is she not adorable?

@ Notsosmartguy @The Lazy Cat Of Sherwood Has A Secret... Me neither. It's probably my most anticipated episode.
This episode does look good, but I'm really not a fan of Gatiss, so very low expectations.

It's kind of a no-brainer for me. Dalek was a modern classic which introduced the Daleks to the new series perfectly and had so many fantastic moments and had so many great ideas for the Daleks. Into The Dalek was a slightly above average episode with the Daleks being completely stale by this point.
Dalek gets my vote.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Face-Off: Dalek vs Into the Dalek
@AztecsDaleksAndCavemen Well, the show hasn't always been good at editing. Remember the ending to The Power Of Three? (Which, let's face it, was hacked together in the editing room)
2 months, 3 weeks ago on BBC Cuts Robot of Sherwood Scene
Understandable. I hope this means the scene won't be ruined.
Hopefully Moffat can improve Thompson's script. His previous efforts have been lackluster to say the least.

Great article, by the way. The Girl In The Fireplace is probably my favorite celebrity historical because....well, because it's The Girl In The Fireplace. Don't really need to explain.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Why I Love… Celebrity Historicals
I would definitely like Napoleon to appear at some point, even though the Doctor has met him before (see The Wedding Of River Song)
The spoon scene was one of the most cringe worthy and downright embarrassing scenes I have ever seen in the show. It almost made me embarrassed to be a fan of the show.

Am I the only one who is slightly reminded of Night Terrors here? (Set in kids house with monster that kid is scared of)
Whatever the similarities, this episode looks amazing! Can't wait!
Just wandering. The Doctor doesn't like soldiers apparently.......but the Brigadier was a soldier, right? And he has worked with UNIT many times. What's the difference?

I thought this would happen after the final scene of Into The Dalek.
Oh, dear. Another example of Mark Gatiss trying and failing to be funny. Still have high hopes but I'm worried.

I'm still yet to see what was so great about this episode that others see in it. I've watched it three times now, and each time my thoughts were "it was alright"

Or they could have a different opinion than your own?
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Series 8: Brave New Clara
@supermoff of Sherwood I thought Clara was OK in 7B, but that was mostly just down to Jenna's performances. The character I found to be a bit bland. She's a lot better this series, though.
Great article. I've got to say, I'm liking Clara a hell of a lot more than I did last series. If they keep it up with her development she could stand alongside Donna and Rory as one of my favorite New Who companions.
To be honest, my pick for next show runner would be either Paul Cornell (if he ever comes back) or Chris Chibnall.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Horowitz on Showrunner Rumours
@SonicTheHedgehogRules If Mark Gatiss becomes show runner I will be hesitant to give the series a chance to be honest.
@supermoff of Sherwood I would rather Toby Whithouse never even came anywhere near Doctor Who again. And this is coming from a FAN of Being Human.
@newhorizons @King Joffery Russell got much BETTER rather than worse after Series 2 in my opinion. Moffat was kind of the other way round.
@joe4 @SonicTheHedgehogRules FINALLY someone who agrees with me about The Crimson Horror.
I know it's just a rumour, but Horowitz running Doctor Who would be fantastic IMO.
I've made this point before, but I have to make it again: Everyone keeps saying how relieved they are that Daleks are finally killing people again. But does that make them scary? No. All I saw in this episode was a platoon of Daleks screaming "EXTERMINATE" while killing off random background characters who we didn't even get any chance to care about. That's unbelievably lazy writing and a cheap attempt to satisfy the fan base. In fact, it was my major issue with the episode (apart from the unbelievably rushed plot points). The Daleks just aren't scary anymore. They need another LONG rest just like in Series 6. And then bring them back once you figure out some good ideas for them. I do think this episode was decent, and I respect that it tried to do something different with the Daleks, but the episode for me felt a bit half-baked and could have been handled better.
Let's say 7/10

Looks pretty good, but I'm still skeptical. Because Gatiss is writing it. :(

The AI scores are still a bit lower than usual. But hopefully it will step up.
BTW, I have to say my favorite parts of the episode were the ones centered around the doctor's character. Great selection of some of his best moments in the episode.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on 12 Great Moments From Into the Dalek
Sorry, but I was just not scared of the Daleks in this episode. It was as if Moffat and Ford just decided:
"How do we make the Daleks scary again?"
"High body count?"
'HIGH BODY COUNT"
Sorry, Daleks going round killing random characters who I don't have any reason to care about is not what makes the Daleks scary. The Daleks are old and worn out and they need to be rested.
On the plus side, the episode itself was good. It's just the Daleks have gotten really stale by this point.
@King Joffery For me, those were his 2 WEAKEST episodes so......
I've noticed Clara is still getting more character than she did in the last series. Keep it up Moffat!
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Rate & Discuss Into the Dalek
Looks good, but......it's a Mark Gatiss episode. So yeah.....skeptical.
The ratings drop is probably a case of the Matt Smith fans not giving Capaldi a chance and stopping watching. Same thing happened in Series 5.
