@Typo42 "Magic Carrots" Did you know that Douglas Adam's story Life, The Universe, and Everything was originally supposed to be a script for Doctor Who? He was going to call it Doctor Who and the Krikketmen.

I hope tomorrow there is a review of The Stones of Blood. The Ogri are the best villains and i will wait until the 100th anniversary special for them to come back, just make it good. That's where I come in... ha ha. But actually i really enjoy the whole Key To Time serial, it was interesting and something new and different. Very Modern.

I remember watching Matt Smith's Angel's Take Manhattan as my first episode, and I can't say I was hooked as I stopped watching from how scary it was. The I saw the Eight Doctor's special and realized how cool some stories could be(thats also probably why I don't disagree as completely with half-human doctor). Then I saw some William Hartnell and Colin Baker on dailymotion and It was good. THEN, the great man of Sylvester McCoy came into my life and from then on I was addicted, I went back on Netflix and saw all of the New Who. Now, the only Doctor whose episodes I haven't seen is Tom Baker, but that will change as soon as I finish with Pertwee.

My own humble opinion, is that Missy, is Mercy Hartigan from The Next Doctor. That was a cyberman episode, so maybe her conscious was trapped in the mainframe. Then after the Doctor opened her mind she has been looking for him. Or revenge? They look alike and Missy could be saying "Im Mercy" with an accent or something. Just a thought but a pretty good one to consider

@foolmentaljoker This is incredibly genius. Possibly- No, actually one of the best Missy plot ideas i have ever seen. They even look mildly similar.

Who else voted Night Terrors? Yeah! ...such an underrated episode, I see nothing bad in it, except the bad monster dolls they were sooooo creepy.

@Ollie Walton Harrod All scripts go through, a phase where they must be approved by a board of people, probably producers, anyway that means that if someone sends in a script thats as good a quality a The Girl In The Fireplace or The God Complex, it would get passed, and vice versa, for episodes not necessary;y bad just not up to par.

@KristiStoneman Please give us reason for that very un-nice sentence. I saw nothing the matter with it, and thought it was quite scary.

In The God Complex, it's not that Rory isn't afraid of nothing, but that he doesn't believe in or have faith in anything. Really good article, keep it up. Sorry, Its just my favorite episode.
The Ogri would be absolutely terrifying, It would be hard to get across the rules and the point of SOCCER to them though, when I can't even figure to out. Also there are positions in soccer?

What got me hooked was A Town Called Mercy, I had previously seen the Power of Three so I was kind-of underipmressed. All these are great starters as well. Blink I'm not so sure about.

It's really easy to mess up a fan trailer, but the one this time brought tears to my eyes. Well done and thank you for taking the time to make beautiful things like these.

This is probably the least underrated episode in all of NewWho.

*Cough, Cough* Adric *Cough* also I;m really confused how you can have David Tennant story on the list, that barely has David Tennant in it.
10 months, 3 weeks ago on The Tenth Doctor: Five Favourites
It's unfortunate he had to play the Doctor when he did (same with Colin Baker) because ratings were going down and people just didn't like Doctor Who anymore. His performance was as good as anyone's and if the ratings were down, it Davison's fault, it was the fault of the script writers, or directors, or someone. He brought a new softer take on the Doctor. Happy birthday Peter Davison it was sad to see you leave.

I feel like its cheating to put the Day of the Doctor in this poll. Seriously, whose idea was that? So I'm crossing it off the list and making my vote unbiased.
Feel free to hate but my favorite is The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe. One of my favorite books turned into Doctor Who, what else could I ask. The characters were all well developed, and I feel like it was a better Christmas special because it didn't have any companions.
Think about it, the best christmas specials didn't have any companions, Voyage of the Damned, The Next Doctor, and even a Christmas Carol had very little of the Companions as they were stuck on a ship.
So for the awesome characters, the great humor ("Wrong Police Box") and some very touching scenes, my vote goes to The Doctor the Widow and the Wardrobe. 1) The Doctor The Widow and The Wardrobe 2) A Christmas Carol 3) The Snowmen 4) The Time of the Doctor
@Master Michael Moon Voting for A Christmas Carol. So much for not going for the overrated.
@Polyphase @Oncoming_Badger I thought Waters of Waters was scry all hell

How could vote for anything but my favorite character in Doctor Who besides K-9. Its Jackson Lake for me guys all day very day. I don't need to say anything more.
The Parting of the ways was absolutely fantastic, it was one of the best send-offs for a Doctor since Logopolis. For the New Who era it poses as something even greater in our minds in being the first Doctor regeneration we saw. A big hats off to RTD for the tie-in of the Bad Wolf arc, and the Daleks I was not expecting. All the supporting cast were fantastic, and the only true contender in this list is... uhmmm... is... I'll have to get back to you on that. If you're voting and you haven't seen this episode, hold your vote, go buy Netflix and watch it and Bad Wolf. It's worth it even if you never watch Netflix again, I strongly recommend it.

The God Complex completely won me over. The monster whose face you never really get to see clearly, the way the whole plot was set up, it really was uncontested in my mind. The fact that the Doctor was sending people to their deaths, and how he lost Amy's trust in him were extremely ambitious. Praise Him. Oh no, I'll have to type quickly. The line that expertly keeps me think about this episode more than any other is "What do Time Lords pray to?" Just imagine the most powerful being you know that answers to a higher power; ingenious. Praise Him. I dare you to find an episode with a opening sequence that gives you more heebie jeebies than this one. The excellent portayal of this episode in the setting, the characters, and everything down to very idea is incredible. The crack in the Doctor's room being the thing he fears the most is a perfect thing to put in there. Praise HIm. The very end of everything he holds dear to him. His TARDIS explodes, the very universe falls apart, he loses River, and Rory. What else can I say? Oh I know, Praise it.

@keving139 Or possibly a good turned evil type, like Chang Lee.

I hope he stars off like Mickey and Rory eventually ended. Strong, independent and knows what they are doing. He could even be like super smart, like some of the Classic Companions.
Gustaff Behr, if you're out there and can read this, the I just want to say you are brilliant. There is absolutely no way I could've explained it in the way you did.

@dalek WHOnews There really is no way to compare New Who episodes to the Classics so don't even try.
@Huknar @ericbfg Except Hide. I thought Hide was bone-rattling.
@Planet of the Deaf @TardisBoy Although Blink doesn't have much of the Doctor in it.
"Everybody Lives. Just this once Rose, everybody lives!" Guess which one I'm choosing. Really, the way I see it here is the choice between two fantastic New Who villains, and two glue-your-eyes-to-the-screen-until-the-end episodes. I'm talking about the Empty Child, and the Weeping Angels. Then there's the part with Vincent in the museum, and When the Doctor becomes "possessed." Good Luck!
1) The Doctor Dances 2) Midnight 3) Vincent and the Doctor 4) Blink 5) Love and Monsters 6)The Girl Who Waited 7) Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS
@thedoctorsnameissteve Honestly if I had to show someone new into Doctor Who I'd choose A Town Called Mercy. It wasn't anywhere near my favorite, but it's got humor a great villain, the Doctor's anger comes out, and his companions are top notch in this episode.
@Polyphase @The_Ogri I agree, which is why I eventually chose the Satan Pit, but Donna's children and husband, and when he sees her walking away and he tries to call out but he can't because of his stutter. I just rewatched and I cried so hard. MOFFAT!
11 months ago on Series 1-7 Face-Off: Episode 9
The Satan Pit because of the excellent villain, or The Forest of the Dead for the touching scenes at the end with Donna and River. Especially Donna. I'll vote for The Doctor Dances tomorrow FOR SURE. Any on got a coin?
I'm not too thrilled about the nostalgia in every episode. I feel like if that are to happen then the TARDIS would become like Captain Cook (The Greatest Dhow in the Galaxy(Sylvester Mccoy) and he was just plain annoying. It's a good idea, but I'm not loving the scenarios that play out in my head. You're right about that they seem to be personalizing the TARDIS, especially with Clara. Who knows/
11 months, 1 week ago on Could the TARDIS Become a Permanent Companion?
I was stuck between the Impossible Planet and Silence of the Library. What made me bite the bit (or whatever the saying is) ultimately was the villain. I voted for Silence in the Library because they introduced the in the first part. I then promised myself that I would vote for the Satan Pit tomorrow.
