Great article. it is kind of a "work around" for writer's block. :) A variation might be to have a friend ask you these questions and record your verbal answers. Then transcribe and add your own flavor to the conversation.

proTIP: start on paper. Pen & Paper. it's easy to get lost in the interwebs while trying to write, so unplug.

Awesome advice, Nick. Scheduling time to relax sounds silly at first, but the payoff is a better quality of life (and work!) I enjoy walking aimlessly. It clears my mind and encourages healthy circulation.

Have you ever read Ray Bradbury's "The Pedestrian"?

Great overview of these content management systems. I find Mighty-site to be very easy to work with. It's simple to train marketing people on how to update text and images (thanks to TinyMCE) and the security of proprietary code shouldn't be underestimated.

However, if a small business doesn't have the budget for a high-end Orbit design, WordPress is a fantastic option. some hosts even offer a 1 button install for WP. This means a site can be built in a matter of hours. If the requirements are a simple site, then why reinvent the wheel?

Great idea, Lauren. "Keep it conversational" is a helpful reminder. Sometimes techies forget that we are writing for readers and not spiders.

@orbiteers Hi Amanda! I got side-tracked with the humongous list of public circles to add. After getting about half way down the spreadsheet, Google kindly let me know that I reached my daily limit of circles and I can add more tomorrow. lol
