My friends (both pretty, blond females) took their daughters to a Thunder/Lakers game in LA last year and sat in one of the pricier sections. They were cussed at, called names, and were told that what happened to that Dodger fan would happen to them. And all this in front of their 9 yr old daughters. They had to leave early and be escorted out by security. Since the organization doesn't denounce any of the behaviors, i.e. Artest's elbow, Bynum knocking Barea to kingdomcome, that creates this environment where violence is acceptable and even favorable.

Royce, just want you to know that I look forward to your writing every day. I love the Bolts as you bring so many of the interesting articles together into one place. I'm a 51 year old grandmother and teacher and since only being a fan of the NBA since I heard that a professional team was coming to OKC, you are helping me to learn the ins and outs of all that goes on in these exciting games. And I think I've come a long way, thanks to you and other commentators, which then really helps me to enjoy the game so much more. So much that I, apparently, know more about the potential of the Thunder than Charles Barkley.
Both of these teams were built at about the same time but in completely different ways. ANY TEAM with enough money could build a team with known superstars and do well. What Thunder has done is REAL talent from Presti all the way to the players. THUNDER deserves to win. They've come further and they've worked harder.

Some people didn't get enough attention as a child and need to create drama to make them sound like they know something. The stats don't lie.

Also, I don't think KD is shimmying his shoulders any more before his free throws.

You left out the part where KD comes on the court and SKIPS around to each player and high fives them. lol Love that part. Watching an almost 7 ft tall guy skip, is entertaining.
