Thanks again for helping to inadvertently inspire some writing ideas, DMAXDJ! Your wonderful comment sparked my idea for a work-house in my Steampunk novel that was indeed on a train, more like a work-train rather than a work-house. It spares London the need of worrying about these unseemly paupers wandering around London. By trapping them on a train, the people of London might be convinced that poverty was effectively eradicated.

@DenisePikolycky @PeggyDover @DMaxMJ @SusanTuttle1 @RickPawlenty @ Gwen @condawgdeuce  I am unemployed writer with a seemingly useless English degree. Where can I catch this train ride of servitude? Servile work is better than no work, especially if I get food, water, a functioning chamberpot  You get a week's worth of trying to take a huge s***, while on a lightening fast Amtrak express train. You'll be bored out of your mind with the tedium of writing PR-related stuff that you'll make a game of trying not to projectile s***.)  It would totally change the atmosphere of my steam-punk novel too. The work house could be on a train!

Oh man, DMaxMJ, your comment is hilarious. I was dying of laughter over the creative implications of your infectiously clever comment. "Train-ride of Servitude;" the train that typifies the undergraduate, intern experience. (I loved my unpaid internship experience, though!!)

Was this a technological fluke of some kind? After sending in my application, it took me to a home page with all the Amtrak-related events, without any sign of a notification that they got the materials. In this age of internet technology, I'd expect some type of verification email or even a message on the screen, after submitting it. Now, I fear that I could have sent the wrong story, or even worse.  I checked my application twice through to make sure everything was correct. Help allay my OCD fears please, Amtrak!
