I would like to have a nickel for every time staff tried to walk all over a story just to better paint the image of a player.

Given that the Nets cannot make the dollars work to sign Howard as a free agent, Dwight will have to look at other teams for a free agent contract. That said, the team that trades for Dwight will have his bird rights and will be able to offer Dwight a comparable mountain of money to sign long term. Eyes wide open, Dwight is the best availible move for any team involved that desires a championship.

If Dwight has up-rooted his "I'm a loyal kinda guy" and now wants to join the Nets again then their is only one small detail to consider. Where he ends up is no longer up to Dwight and his side-show.

So, Deron Williams, don't leave the light on.....

There are so many twists and turns that were added to the drama that were not true and never part of Dwight's thinking. Like all Magic faithful, Dwight was not happy with the poor play and poor player production. Simple. Dwight was always loyal and wanted the best for Orlando. Simple.

Sheridan Hoops round two is unsourced cow dung. The guy is trying to make a name for himself after ESPN took his crayon away. Contrary to statements made by Sheridan, Magic CEO Alex Martins debunked the claim that the Magic confirmed the desire to trade Dwight. And no one has come even close to knowing Dwights intentions except for Sheridan's fortune teller. Unsourced cow dung.

I am pleased to see the written reveal that the Dwight/Bynum trade is not a path to greater results.

But I am also surprised that you mentioned the fall-out from Byrun's ego and no mention of the greater fall-out caused by Kobe's. Dwight included, there are a lot of players that shy away from the Lakers due to Kobe's ego. For that and more, I don't think Dwight would sign long term with the Lakers.

Very smart and very well written.  This may well be the inside thoughts of Magic management. In the shadow of so many rant and rave articles, I enjoy reading constructive information. Thank you

I think that the idea would be great for Houston and not so great for Dwight. Dwight has unfinished business in Orlando and, due to his injury, he best sign a long long contract extension with a city that can lure talented sidekicks.

Without knowing the true extent of Dwight's injury or the long-term success of his surgery, who, besides Orlando, will be willing to risk signing Dwight to a long-term contract? Will the Nets roll the dice considering all the internal team drama caused this season by Dwight. Hmmm.

The weight of the tampering is determined by resulting damage and the result is just now becoming clear. The time to file is approaching and has nothing to do with being "crybabies".

The other Magic players are paid based on their own contracts and not impacted by the regular season play from Dwight. But, believe me, their future as a trade chip being just a coin toss for Dwight painfully outweighs the glory and money benefits from dishonest Dwight.

If this is true, I hope that the Magic move forward on the tampering charges for the Miami meeting between Dwight and the Nets. How does Dwight look at the other players involved and play with their futures without remorse?
