@jmacwilli Dude I think you comments are very trollesque with very little content about the current Rangers team.

First, our goalie is very consistent in his number and it is very reasonable to expect certain things on a year to year basis. I will not apologize that Hank is on the Rangers. Granted, Bob had a great season and it did indeed help the Jackets come close to a playoff spot, it was above what he had preformed in the past. Very troll comment about our goalie situation whether it is true or not.

Second, Nash was not brought in to be the leader. We have one of the best captains in the league and a slew of able vets that provide the leadership that the team needed. You are mistaken by thinking that the Rangers assumed the identity of what the Jackets were with Nash. Having said that the identity lost from players like Dubi, AA and Prust were more of the bane of the team as opposed to the addition of Nash's "softness". (which is crap. Guy did everything ask of him in a system that I'm sure was not very appealing to his style.) It didn't work for the Rangers just like it didn't work for 29 other teams.

The Rangers have a player who eclipses Nash and that is the goalie between the pipes.

@jmacwilli  @gravey94 Not looking to prolong an argument but Alex Kovalev was an insanely skilled player with talent like few others. I'm not comparing the two but All I'm saying is talent or no, you have to do something with it or your just another Nik Zherdev or worse Pavel Brendl

Read that ROR would have had to pass through waivers if signing with Calgary since he played in the KHL when the season had started. Means Calgary might have given up two picks and then lost him on waivers back to the Avs.

@jmacwilli FWIW Brian Leetch was as skilled if not more, has a Conn Smythe and a Cup to show for it too. Time will tell if Nash can live up to his level.

I went with Hagelin as it was the goal that got the game going for the Rangers. If Nash had put the puck in the net with his toe drag move in the 1st period then it's no contest.

Did anyone else have flashback of Brian Leetch when he pulled his toe drag. I almost teared up. Made my wife come in and watch the replay and everything.

@rangersfan No they cannot resign him and I don't think they can trade for him for the following season.

I tend to agree. That 2-1 in the third against Montreal was on of those key moments. he puts that in and I think we roll thought the rest of the game. He doesn't have to score every game but there are times where, if doesn't come through then no one else will.

The Rangers could not forecheck because Montreal's game plan was to continually ice the puck. Biron should have played and negated many of the icings and press the puck up the ice to help establish the forecheck. Hindsight is a bitch sometimes.

First goal was on Cally. End of his shift failed to get the puck deep trying to make a cross ice pass and got stuck out there with the Rangers on their heals. Got to do the little things right.

Question. Could we trade redden to a team that had three contracts that they want to buy out? Take two guys for redden. Buy them out while the other team buys out redden and their remaining player. This could lead to Sather being owed a favor down the road.

As a season ticket holder I am invested in the tickets but I will not give money towards concessions or merchandise. Like was mentioned above I will be patronizing the likes of 'Irish Times', 'Brother Jimmy's', the 'Molly Wee' etc...

Read somewhere last night that this line could be the "FEAR" line. Fast Europeans and Richards. Can't take credit just passing it along.

I sit in section 336 right in front of Benoit Allaire, I remember turning to him and asking about the exact play in this clip. He sjust shook his head and said "I really wish he wouldn't." in a think French Canadien accent.
