@tomwillmot Thanks very much, that gives WordPress another one then.
The browser itself measures the load time from the moment the page load process is initiated, and provides the results to applications through a JavaScript API. When our code is loaded, it collects that data and sends it back to our servers for processing.
Thanks for all your comments. We're currently working with our valued long-term customers that have been affected by the recent changes. If you feel that you are in the same situation, please contact us via http://support.pingdom.com. We will put our best efforts into resolving this for you in the best possible way.
@whois101 Thank you for the feedback, you made som very interesting points, and we'll take it under consideration in the next steps of our process.
@Reality Television Thank you.
@gzappaterreno We hope you didn't miss this post http://royal.pingdom.com/2012/08/28/the-first-pc-from-1965/
@StreamComputing Thanks for the comments. To answer your last question, no we didn't for this survey but we're looking at how we can do that for future ones.
@KelsonVibber There are so many more groupings and aggregations that could be done with this, and that is a very good idea. We're also looking at collecting more information when we run this next time, so we can cross reference and compare.
@ssthormess We will try to put that together for you.
@hosting_rs Of course! And you go back even further with that domain.
@DavidCiani We could perhaps have phrased that differently, but that's what the date we based this article on show.
@PratheekRebala It was perhaps an unfortunate phrasing from our side, but that's what the data we based this article on show.
@MartyGoldberg Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated.
@JorgenSundberg1 Looks interesting, we will check it out :)
@osmiumbin We'd guess that's included in google.com since it's plus.google.com
@ispreview We are too, Mark. 54 Mbps would be really sweet :)
@AndriyTyurnikov It is used in production but it's being tested so it won't appear for everyone and in every transaction.
@jasonjwwilliams Thanks for the input Jason, we do appreciate it. We put this comment on Facebook in response to comments (you can also see it below) but we'll add it here too since it applies:
" This incident was certainly a learning experience for all of us at Pingdom, when it comes to technology as well as in other ways, including communications. We have taken everything that our customers have said to heart and will do better in the future, that much we can promise. As we said in the blog post from a few days ago, we will this week publish our plan for what we're doing to get to grips with the points of failure that led to the incident this past weekend. Please keep the comments coming - everything you've said is greatly appreciated and we *will* do better."
Regarding increasing support, that's something that is in the plans for the near future.
About your email to support, if you could give us the ticket number, we'll follow up on that.
