Happy for the kid. Squeezed out some beasts for that roster spot. Made it.

@mlclearwater Of course he has to go, even if he is lights out. We got younger guys that can score. He won't be here next year.

Broll, six-foot-two 235 pounds, joined the Marlies last season as a rookie and kept himself in the everyday lineup because of his ability to run a proper forecheck while not being a liability in a bottom-six role. He showed more promise and skill set compared to who the Maple Leafs were dressing at the time on their fourth line and was seen as a potential suitor to fill the void Toronto had. On top of playing enforcer, the Mississauga, Ont. product popped in three goals and 16 points in 63 contests because of his ability to possess the puck after battling to get it back in the offensive end.

This season, however, Broll has not shown the same game to Dineen.

@Bring the Cup Home @peterbleafs I don't at this point really see an All Star in the making in Rielly, just a solid Dman, nothing spectacular. Not elite at all.

Game Skate they are showing clips of Phaneuf from the Juniors Championship in 2005. That's the Phanuef I used to be a fan of.

@MaxwellHowe @Burtonboy You give him 6 if Phaneuf is on his way out. Those 2 taking up 13 million of our cap would be a f'n joke. I wouldn't give him 6 regardless.

Kootney Ice now only need 1 point to slot into the last Wild Card spot. They were a lost cause till Sam Reinheart and our boy Valiev joined the team, theybare now 8-2 in their last 10.

Marlies are 7 points behind Hamilton Bulldogs for the last playoff spot. They have to beat 6 teams for that spot incuding the Bulldogs. Do they make the playoffs this year or not? Current record is 8-13-2.
