@Burtonboy Lol at the credit given to Dubas already. I am not even sure he opened his mouth yet.

@DARF24 I doubt Komarov will play on the 4th line with what he is getting paid. Lupul thinks he should play on the 1st line and used to play there, to move him to the 3rd will make him request a trade.

Word from around the Leafs, for whatever reason, Poulin and new sheriff Brendan Shanahan just didn’t see eye-to-eye from Day 1. Poulin seemed to know he was on his way out. Loiselle knew changes were coming: He didn’t think they would include him ...

Broll, Carrick, Leivo and Devane are mine.
2 days, 22 hours ago on James Reimer Signs for 2 years, $2.3 million per season
Some of these 1 year contracts will be used to get draft picks at the trade deadline, that could have been part of the reason for all those signings. We'll get our 2nd round pick back for sure, it's a crazy draft next year.

@steele123 I am probably buying one too. My fav player on the team.
4 days, 4 hours ago on (Thursday Mashup) David Booth: Another low-risk option with upside potential
@Jordan29 @Ze_theLeafsFan Injuries will be his demise.
@Jordan29 @Yan28 I just don't see Ashton beating out those that in the call up list either.
4 days, 5 hours ago on (Thursday Mashup) David Booth: Another low-risk option with upside potential
Devane was given that 2 year contract for a reason, if the Leafs are pushed around, he'll be the 1st call up.
@Bruffins @Yan28 Something like that.
Guys Ashton is gonna be traded. There's no way he makes that line up. Look at who he has to beat out to make the line up.
Jays score on wild pitch.
@Bruffins @Yan28 Just an observation. Game is on now on Sportsnet. He hit a single first at bat.
Bautista is an amazing player. Heart of the team.
Good guy man.

Dregger is a looser crying about Claude Loiselle loosing his job saying he is a good guy etc. That's the one guy i have no pity for, all he did is talk about nothing in his interviews and beat aroudn the bush, when it came down to contracts he was garbage and managing the cap even worse, he did more then enough to get fired. Poulin I had no problem with, but both of those guys had to go as a package, Shanny was right to send them packing.

@TheCanucksnaphook Agreed, usually most of the stuff is on topic. Could be easier to just let people post what ever is on their mind, 90 % is on topic anyways.
Love the Valiev pick. Kid got heart.

6 days, 5 hours ago on Poulin, Loiselle Fired as Assistant GMs; Leafs bring in Kyle Dubas
Don't expect Leafs to be a bunch of Pussies.
Kyle is also wise beyond his years. He had to be tough and smart to
survive and thrive in the dagger-filled world of player agents. Walt and
Marietta practically raised Kyle after his father, Mark, a cop, and his
mother, Paula, an ambulance dispatcher, divorced when he was eight.
Walt used to take Kyle to Greyhounds games in the old Soo Gardens and
drove home how important it is to have tough players. Marietta despises
the “floosies” who play softly. Her all-time favourites: Bobby Clarke
and Bob Probert.
So Kyle’s new-look Hounds are bigger and tougher by design. His top
draft pick, six-foot-four defender Darnell Nurse, is the son of former
Hamilton Tiger-Cats wide receiver Richard Nurse. The 16-year-old’s uncle
by marriage is Minnesota Vikings quarterback Donovan McNabb. When
pint-sized centre Dan Catenacci, a former first-overall pick, demanded a
trade, Kyle sent him to Owen Sound in return for six-foot winger Andrew
Fritsch. Six-foot-four blueliner Michael Schwindt and six-foot-five
Swedish winger Michael Schumacher were acquired through other off-season
trades. “No grit, no glory”—Kyle often repeats this with his
grandfather in mind.
6 days, 6 hours ago on Poulin, Loiselle Fired as Assistant GMs; Leafs bring in Kyle Dubas
haha Straight up.
@Black_Hawk Took care of the Marlies.
All I can say is that these moves right here show that Shanny has a lot of balls.I like the way he moves, stealthy, no one ever has any idea.
Wooooo! Say goodbye to the Capologist!!! Liked Poulin though, but I beleive in Shanny! Woo!

Franson said they as a team did all they could do but it wasn't good enough.
1 week ago on Cody Franson Signs with Toronto Maple Leafs for 1 year, $3.3m
@theacs1966 @17Forever Bufalo has their 1st round pick.
@colino17 Next Monday, so yeah the 28th.
Even if Franson isn't traded, he's gonna move down on the depth chart, so he won't be relied on nearly as much as last year.
@colino17 @theacs1966 28th
@Cameron19 @Yan28 Ok ok.
@TheCanucksnaphook @Yan28 He played hard every shift and was one of the main shot blockers but there really isn't a spot on the team for him.
We didn't qualify our 2009 2nd round pick this off season. Kenny Ryan.
@TheCanucksnaphook @DeclanK @Rielly_44 I am actually sick of the hoarding. I'd move him for a 2nd to a bad team.
@Burtonboy so, he didn't get the money he was looking for then. STL offered him 3.
1 week, 2 days ago on The Cody Franson Arbitration: What is he Worth?
@Mitch92 Guys like this you drop the ban hammer on.
@Mitch92 @MaxwellHowe You sure you're not a Habs fan though?
@ShiftyD @Yan28 Looking at the comparable players above, one of the things that
immediately (and perhaps surprisingly) stands out is that Cody Franson
delivers a tremendous amount of body checks. With 644 hits in 322 games,
Cody Franson has averaged two registered hits per game over the course
of his career, which is tops among defenders included in this list both
as an absolute and average number.^^^ -- That makes Franson sound like a bruiser. Fransons hits are mere bumps, once in a while he does something that resembles a hit but he is not a deterrent to other teams at all. I always pay attention when he's on the ice and watched him all year, huge softy with no Heart whatsoever.
Come on man those "hits" are good on paper, but in reality he just softly bumps he doesn't really hit. For a man that size he's incredibly soft.
@ingy56 That's good size. He can still grow to 6' and put on 10+ pounds
