Oooh tough one.  Now - I like Kill the Moon, and I like Mummy on the Orient Express, but which one's best?

@Antee991166 @Tomb of the Cyberbob  Oh - I don't know.  Something about the execution reminded me of the good old innocent days of William Hartnell - or maybe I am even getting mixed up with Peter Cushing in the early Dalek movies? Sometimes I tire of the Doctor knowing everything - I love seeing him utterly baffled

OK - here we go. Check nobody is looking - the coast is clear: I LOVE THIS EPISODE!!!!

I think I'm going to start a new support group: Fans of "In the Forest of the Night" Anonymous...

So imaginative, so different.   I mean - come on, which other show would they even think of trees taking over the world.  Clever, clever, clever - funny, funny, funny - definitely different, and a nice warm up for the finale...

D'you reckon there's a fan forum for Casualty, where the fans continually stress about the show being cancelled because the ratings are lower than Dr.Who - or is it just Whovians who stress like this?

@Unibot  Series 8 has taken the show to new heights. I have been watching since the early 70s, and have caught up on all that I missed.   This is, in my view - the best yet.

@mrclever  In September 1966, a total of 4.2 million people watched The William Hartnell Story "The Smugglers".  In those days when there were just 2 TV channels. The show went on for another 23 years.  I wouldn't say figures of 7 million at a time when there are over 200 channels means that Steven Moffat is killing it. Global figures and merchanise sales are probably at an all time record.   And for the record - series 8 is AWESOME!

@Doctor_Geek  I would so it is possibly the best Doctor Who story in the history of the series.  It was on a different level. 10 out of 10 doesn't say it.

Haven't you missed out series 2, by the way?

@Christoph1337  Hey - I do like it. The Mistress.   Every time there is a new Doctor there is a deluge of stories about "Could there ever be a female Doctor".  How very Moffatesque to take that, but twist it into a female Master!  Yes, Christoph1337 - you are right, and should be the next producer of the show! Shades of Castrovalva too...  It also explains the "boyfriend" reference, when he clearly isn't/

@'Cos Guess Who? Ha!  I wouldn't worry too much about Capaldi scaring children just yet.   We were always told that the first 6 episodes would be a bit shocking, but the real Capaldi would start to come through after that.  I think it is nice to be slightly challenged to begin with.

@'Cos Guess Who? Ha!  The War Doctor appeared because that's the barn that they were in.  It shows that the War Doctor went back to the barn where he had the dream and started to realise that fear was an ally - in order to confront his biggest fear and end the Time War. Really rather clever.

@Antonen2012 @PeterHillier  Nice thought - but I think not.  "The soldier so brave he doesn't need a gun" clearly points to the Doctor.   Or maybe that's what we're meant to think!

@YaelMoise @sontaran17  I think the trouble is that when you reel off a list which contains what are - in all honesty - very, very, very minor issues, then you do leave yourself exposed to being called a nit-picker and that you are looking for things to dislike. I am sure you are not and this is not the case - but on a fan site you are going to get a negative reaction when you put this kind of thing up. My instant reaction was actually the same - that if you come up with such a list of minor gripes, then maybe it's time to get a new show to watch.   However, that is not the right call either.

@camelot55555  The timing of the Missy scene depends upon when the character who gives their life for the Doctor dies - in this episode it would not have worked at the end.

@The_Jo_Dude The first good Daleks appeared in the Patrick Troughton years in "Evil of the Daleks".  Oh - then there was the "thick" Dalek in William Hartnell's "The Chase". No - I don't think that's just killed the 51 year history of the Doctor and the Daleks, but then that is just my personal view, isn't it?
