Co-sign. Well done. I am ready for an overhaul. Our drafting has been spectacularly bad outside of K Love/related trade and Pek in the 2nd round and maybe Rubio...the jury is out.

No one appreciates steaming bags of dookie like Rick spielman. I wholeheartedly endorse this statement.

Hmmm an average NFL player to play linebacker? What a concept! As much as I enjoyed the now departed jasper Brinkley's meandering and general confusion at MLB I think having someone who can do more than plug the A gap might be an improvement. This might be Erin Henderson back to the outside too which is much better than him playing MLB. Main concern: we just drafted two schmucks from penn State, should we just roll with then instead?
I want to read articles like this. Being a true Vikings fan requires substantial snarkiness and self-depreciating humor about the players and yourself. Simply, we have to laugh at ourselves because laughing at our team alone isn't sufficient. Articles like these are excellent. I am sure that there are the purple homers out there (possibly our commenter Chevrolet) that dislike anything that isn't optimism heading into the season. Pointing out the foibles on this team is both entertaining and necessary. Anyway, I am going to continue my crusade to have Christian ponder drop his last name and instead take his wife's name (Steele). At least then he would sound a lot more plausible. It is his only redeeming outcome.

Good stuff McHale. It is beginning to feel like a lost year for the wolves...another lost year. If the things you tell come to fruition then truly it will be a lost year, and a waste of the last 3 years to boot.

Forgot to mention earlier. AK-47 is married to a Russian pop music star who is kind enough to give him one hall pass per year. So, to all those Minnesota women out there, that could be YOU in the picture above.

@CollegeWolf man amongst men...women want him, kahn wants to be him.

@CollegeWolf amen...so do I. I hate that school so incredibly much. They do not produce NBA players. They do produce many Kahn draft picks.
@CollegeWolf Well anytime you can take a shitty player from Syracuse you have to do it. That's the KAAAAHHHNNNN way. Just ridiculous that people defend this guy.
@CollegeWolf @jtshoopsblog Not sure what jtshoopsblog found in the medicine cabinet, but i am sure it is expired. The wolves just raised their ceiling from 6-7th and guaranteed first round playoff exit to seed to 5-6 seed and highly likely playoff exit. There is no way they could be LAL, SA, OKC in the playoffs.
We are beyond screwed... even if we are slightly improved overall, we are no where near a championship. Kahn has sold this team out to save his own ass. I get a legitimate headache when I think about the stupid things this jerk has done. Jonny Flynn? Wes Johnson over Cousins? Darko 4 for 20? Martell Webster trade? Facilitating the Carmelo trade and getting pu pu in return? Mario Chalmers? Why should this jerk get any credit for getting rid of players for whom it was kahn that was the responsible party? I was absolutely waiting for him to sell the farm to get dumbass Dion Waiters (THANK YOU Cleveland). Kahn is a racist son of a bitch as well...the movement of black players out is so that Kahn can more effectively campaign for KKK Grand Wizard.

@CollegeWolf Couldn't agree more CW. The rubes out there think any activity is good activity. They don't see this guy is just spinning his wheels. He has no plan...there never was a plan. He will firmly plant this team in NBA purgatory and it will take another 5 years to restore hope.
@CollegeWolf Yes great article Mike.
@CollegeWolf @Daddyfatsax Could not agree more with Mike's write-up and the commentary below. Kahn's resume pre-Twolves: journalist, lawyer, business (read: not basketball)operations for the Pacers, failed attempt to bring MLB baseball to Portland, real estate ventures, and finally ownership of some D league teams. WOW!! I mean cmon Glen Taylor! How does it occur to you to even interview KAHN? Three years later and I am still perplexed. Chief Dingleberry indeed!
Anyway, you can tell a good GM by the number of hits he has versus the number of swings and misses and then also big points for getting the TOUGH decisions right. He's never gotten a tough decision right (Jonny Flynn, Large Albus trade, Wes Johnson over Cousins). A good GM never gets it all right, but he will hit a lot of singles/doubles with the occasional home run. He did manage to draft Rubio after he slide to 5th (well played Captain Obvious, I still remember how shocked I was at the time that Kahn made the right pick). But how much credit do you give someone for making an obvious move. Does anyone tell you how great you are when you wake up, get dressed and make it to work on time on a Thursday morning, and execute some basic facets of your job? Hell no. Kahn however gets credit from some of the homers in the fanbase for the 1 or 2 times he DIDN'T screw up. He even managed to piss off K Love by giving him the non-max deal. Nothing that Kahn does can surprise me at this point. He is the single worst GM since Isaiah Thomas and his reign of terror were running amok in NY. But if Kahn had the money to splash that Isaiah had...it would have been much much much worse.

@CollegeWolf @SeanMichaelPatrickMurphy @Minnesota Polars @roundhouse Ding ding ding...Wes' time to shine now.
@CollegeWolf @SeanMichaelPatrickMurphy @Minnesota Polars @roundhouse Wes is in there for his 57% free throw shooting...and general awesomeness.
@SeanMichaelPatrickMurphy @roundhouse @Minnesota Polars They didn't really need the offense, so he sat is my guess.
@Minnesota Polars @roundhouse i don't think there is any way to understand it...Wes wouldn't play 10 minutes a night on most teams, yet he is playing in crunch for the Wolves, a fringe playoff team.
@Minnesota Polars great finish...super tough
