As always, both were superb. But I have to go with my favorite Doctor. Vote goes to Ten!

@allons_ywibblywobbly Exactly. Ten had many beautiful moments like when he talked about Gallifrey to Martha, when he visited the older Tim in "The Family of Blood", or pretty much any scene he had with Sarah Jane just to name some examples.

Hurt was fantastic, but how could he possibly contend against my favorite Doctor? Tenth Doctor for me.
I voted for Capaldi. Still love ya, Eccleston!

I'm personally not screaming for a new showrunner as I am perfectly satisfied with Moffat but I would not be against him leaving if he chose to.

@Reeze, agent of C.L.A.R.A. You don't need to be. It's your opinion. His Doctor didn't appeal to you and that's fine. I'm sorry you didn't have as positive of an experience with his Doctor as myself and many others but it's your opinion and I respect it.

As far as I'm concerned, all of the revival Doctors are equally brilliant in their own unique ways.
@NumberNine @The Finn is excited for audio Kate Stewart! @Master Oswald Danes Well, no episode can please everybody. Sorry you didn't have that positive of an experience with Listen but it's your opinion and I respect it.

I've seen bits of Grimm and Orphan Black, I haven't watched The Flash, and I'm a big fan of both Doctor Who (which should be a given from someone on this site) and Game of Thrones. I personally hope that Listen wins as I found it to be a beautiful, moving, and all-around fantastic episode. One thing Doctor Who has over Game of Thrones for me is the rewatch value. Sure, I can enjoy the heck out of a twisty, epic, batsh*t crazy season of GoT but I never have the drive to go back and rewatch any of the episodes. When it comes to Doctor Who, I've watched every episode of New Who multiple times. I've rewatched Listen countless times while I've only rewatched The Mountain and the Viper once.
"The Girl Who Died" and "The Woman Who Lived". Those sound like two episodes in a 2-parter, which makes it all the more strange since they're obviously both single episodes. Also, those titles just scream Classic Who. I'm really looking forward to seeing Maisie Williams in Doctor Who. It's the Twelfth Doctor vs Arya Stark!

*don't* I certainly DON'T hold the disdain for it that everyone else seems to.
3 weeks, 2 days ago on Why I Love Fear Her And Love & Monsters
"Love & Monsters" still remains to be the only Doctor Who episode that I dislike but I'm happy that there are fans who were able to have a more positive experience with that episode. There are some elements of the episode that I liked: Elton and Ursula, the exploration of what happens to those who the companions leave behind, and the showcase of how the Doctor indirectly affects peoples' lives. The big thing that causes me to dislike the episode is the fate of Ursula Blake at the end and how tasteless I personally found it to be (I mean, the ep pretty much ends with a woman being reduced to a living sex toy...what the huh?!) However, I do like "Fear Her". I don't love it but I certainly hold the disdain for it that everyone else seems to.

Love and Monsters remains to be the only episode of Doctor Who that I actually dislike. Normally, the worst I'll feel about an episode is that I'll find it to be okay. I'm kinda sad to see Night Terrors here as it's personally one of my favorite episodes of Series 6. But whatever. Opinions, opinions.

@Alleigh member of P.O.N.D.S Well, my opinion isn't correct for all. We all have different opinions. I loved Listen. That's just my opinion. I have no problem with people disliking it. I was just pointing out to 4sure that I had more reasons for loving that episode aside from simply seeing the Doctor as a child.
@madmanwithabox21 I accept your apology and respect your opinions. Just be more careful in how you word your thoughts in the future because it can give people the wrong idea about how you feel about your opinions.
@4sure @SpontaneousFork Well that's your opinion. There are many reasons why I personally love "Listen" aside from seeing the Doctor as a child. The exploration of everyone's fear of the unknown, the seamless blend of slice-of-life and science fiction horror elements, Danny's backstory, the interactions between the Doctor and Clara, the overall tone and atmosphere, the perfect pacing, the ambiguity of the entity's existence, et cetera. But this is just my opinion.
@madmanwithabox21 I enthusiastically disagree. I personally found The Name of the Doctor to be a superb episode and a perfect conclusion to the Impossible Girl arc (which I also really liked). It is in fact my favorite finale thus far. But that's just my opinion. However, "Let's just face it"?! Apparently, according to you, it's a fact that the Impossible Girl story didn't work. Uh...no. That's your opinion and you have every right to it but it is not a fact. I'm sorry for being a bit blunt that that really rubbed me the wrong way. I have no problems with people disliking stuff I like but I draw the line at someone talking about their opinions as if they're fact.
Vincent and the Doctor, The Name of the Doctor, and The Day of the Doctor.
Blink, Human Nature/The Family of Blood, and Midnight for me.
1 month ago on Revival Face-Off: RTD Era Triple
@MartianWaters There are many reasons why I personally love Blink. The intricacy of the timey-wimey, Sally Sparrow, the Weeping Angels, the pacing, etc.
I really liked the Series 8 finale overall (yes, even Death in Heaven) but it sadly doesn't stand a chance against my favorite episode. The Day of the Doctor for me.

@The G Unitt - It's my initial, I'm not a rap fan Personally, I don't understand people's problems with the Moon being an egg. I'm not trying to be rude here but, to me, it feels like a backwards double standard. The core of the Earth being a Racnoss spaceship? Okay. A star being alive and able to possess people? Okay. A star being alive and able to influence its entire solar system into believing it's a god? Okay. The Moon being an egg? THAT'S STUPID! See what I'm getting at?

I personally really liked the resolution of Death in Heaven and this splendid article did a great job at explaining the parallels between Simm's and Gomez's Masters and the overall complex frenemyship between the Doctor and the Master.

Tennant may have been the first Doctor I was introduced to but Eccleston's era was where I officially started to watch and love the show (and have continued to do since).
2 months ago on Why I Love The Ninth Doctor
@joe4 It all depends on execution. If someone simply states that they don't like Moffat but that they respect the opinions of those who do, that's all good. It's when it devolves into personal attacks against Moffat and anyone who likes him where things get messy. I can't stand people who treat their opinions as fact and claim that anyone who has a differing opinion is an idiot. For example, I personally love Clara. That's my opinion and I have no problem with those who have a differing opinion as long as they respect mine. I once got into a conversation with someone who was on the opposite end of the Clara spectrum and they literally said that anyone who likes Clara is mentally challenged. That's where I draw the line.

@Djornad Not one book. Someone could write an entire series about it; with each book focusing on just one fandom and being at least a thousand pages long. Whovians, Harry Potter fans, Star Wars fans, Star Trek fans, Marvel fans, Bronies, the list goes on and on and on.
@DaftDalek is the Aphex Twin Doctor @supermoff Yeah. Me venturing into a the comment section of a Doctor Who Youtube video nearly turned me off from the idea of reading a comment section of anything Doctor Who related ever again.
