The Kings have a good interior defense and by the advanced stats Cousins and IT are good defenders. The problem is the Kings let teams kill them from deep and a huge part of the blame for that is that our SGs all just watched players shoot 3s. McLemore was absolutely horrible on defense. Gay was horrible on defense and our PFs and bench were all bad on D.
Kings need to draft Aaron Gordon and sign Thabo. That will improve our defense along with improvement on D from Cousins and Isaiah.

They traded everyone away already. Look at the roster. Cousins, Outlaw and Jason Thompson are the only players under contract for next season that were not acquired by the new ownership. Cousins could very well be the only player from former ownership.
6 months, 1 week ago on New Sacramento Kings make strides in changing franchise culture
The Raptors play in the eastern conference. And those guys come off the bench in Toronto while 3 of them were starting here. Vasquez and Patterson are good bench players but bad starters which is why Kings fans were upset.
The Kings will need to win 50 games for the #8 seed. Winning this year wasn't the goal, getting a good draft pick and developing the rookies was. This season was a success for Sacramento.
6 months, 2 weeks ago on New Sacramento Kings make strides in changing franchise culture
Landry can be the scorer off the bench and hopefully we can draft or trade for a good SG.
7 months, 1 week ago on Sacramento Kings youngsters look to finish season strong
I want to know why Malone even played Gray at all. Play D-Will at Center at least he can grab rebounds. When Brewer tipped in that miss FT right over Gray I was so mad. Gray sets good screens but is absolutely horrible at every other part of the game.
7 months, 2 weeks ago on Road Reaction Postgame Show: Sacramento Kings at Minnesota Timberwolves
If that was a technical then there wouldn't have been enough players to finish the game tonight. Cousins isn't perfect but for the Kings he is the best player they have had in a decade and is a top 20 NBA player. Players like Cousins don't grow on trees. Cousins is 23 in 2 more years he will be an MVP candidate.
7 months, 2 weeks ago on Road Reaction Postgame Show: Chicago Bulls 94, Sacramento Kings 87
Did you watch the game? DeMarcus scored 25 Points and had 14 rebounds vs the best defensive big man in the league.
So Thibs is stupid too? He plays less for the Bulls than he did for the Kings.
7 months, 2 weeks ago on Game 66 Preview: Sacramento Kings at Chicago Bulls
@Em Gee In what league? He's going to have to prove the Bulls wrong too because they have played him even less than Sacramento.
We'll see. Kings have surprisingly had the Bulls number the last few games.
@KMFA I was talking about Ppelico. Not you. Your spelling is fine.
7 months, 3 weeks ago on Road Reaction Postgame Show: Detroit Pistons 99, Sacramento Kings 89
Defensive Rating has too many variables to be perfect. Isaiah plays against all star level PGs every night and has to guard them.
Jimmer guarded the worst perimeter player. Jimmer didn't really guard true SFs but if a team had 3 guards out and one playing SF Jimmer would sometimes guard him.
Remind me if I'm wrong but I don't remember Jimmer ever guarding CP3, Parker, Westbrook, Dragic, or Lillard 1 on 1. McCallum has recently been put on the better offensive player so he has been scored on because he has been guarding better players.
7 months, 3 weeks ago on Ray McCallum embraces role as change-of-pace defender for Sacramento Kings
Ray has been playing a lot with the starters against starters. Jimmer on the Bulls doesn't get off the bench. Jimmer on the Kings didn't guard the best player. He would sometimes guard the SF. Malone tried to hide Jimmer on defense just like his college coach did.
I didn't say the Kings weren't. The Rudy Gay trade kind of refutes that point though. But since the MT trade and waiving Jimmer it's pretty apparent the front office isn't trying to win, and why would they want to?
7 months, 3 weeks ago on Game 65 Preview: Sacramento Kings at Philadelphia 76ers
James didn't say the players were losing games on purpose. But the front office has intentionally built this team to lose.
Also Ray is guarding the other teams best offensive guard when he is in. Jimmer was put on whoever the worst offensive player was. Apples and Oranges.
Since Jimmer was waived Ray has played more minutes than Jimmer did. He is playing PG and SG minutes. Jimmer in Chicago is getting DNP-CDs unless it's a blowout. Those are FACTS.
Trading away their best players for 2nd round picks and buying out Danny Granger are strong hints that they don't want to win.
What does Jimmer have to do with this? Also Jimmer is playing vs 8th- 13th men. He has only played in blowouts. Ray is playing vs starters and good bench players.
It's pretty hard to read, when you misspell every other word. Why are you talking about Gray if you don't want him to play? Every sentence should have a point and none of yours apparently do.
It's just hard to take seriously that a career 13th man should be playing over the best offensive center in the league.
Yeah that's the problem. IT passes more and it results in more missed shots. Hard to get assists were your starting SG shoots under 40%.
Yeah Gray would average 10 assists per game and single handedly make this the #1 defense in the league!!!! #FreeGray
Cousins and Isaiah have won in college and high school playing the same type of basketball. The Kings need a decent bench and a decent SG and PF and this team is a contender. The Kings gave up all of their depth in the Gay trade. Add Grevis, Salmons, Patterson, and Hayes to this team and they are much better.
7 months, 3 weeks ago on Turnovers handicapping Sacramento Kings offense
Malone is a good coach but he needs a competent team. He has 3 good players he needs more to win games.
You got banned because all you would do is comment about how IT Sucks and Vasquez is great. You wrote a fan post after every game talking about how Grevis played well when all he did was give up 30 points a night.
Cousins is the Kings franchise player and if you want that to change then you are going to be sorely disappointed.
The Lakers and Knicks are the highest valued teams in the league and look at their record. Wins and losses have little to do with team values.
7 months, 3 weeks ago on WATCH: Vivek Ranadivé thinks Sacramento Kings could someday be worth billions
Why are you even commenting? Jimmer is gone and you apparently hate the Kings so go talk about why Jimmer never plays anymore. The Kings will be just fine. Pete just needs some time to rebuild the team. Rome wasn't built in a day.
@KMFA Go away TABDOG
Go over to Sactown Royalty that's where most Kings fans are talking. This website was overrun with Jimmer fans.

Pop and Eric Spolstra coached in the finals last year and neither was an NBA basketball player. Malone doesn't have to be a professional player to be a great coach.
7 months, 3 weeks ago on Road Reaction Postgame Show: Sacramento Kings 116, Milwaukee Bucks 102
Other than Pat Riley having NBA experience doesn't help GMs. Also many of the best coaches never played in the NBA.
Rick Barry doesn't know what he's talking about
7 months, 3 weeks ago on Game 62 Preview: Sacramento Kings at Toronto Raptors
@KMFA Yeah Greg Popovich is a horrible coach and R.C. Burford is a horrible GM that is why the Spurs are so terrible. Oh wait they have the best record over the last 20 years!
No its not. A top 10 pick in the best draft since 2003 was the plan all along. Pete and Malone both need time to rebuild this team.
7 months, 4 weeks ago on Road Reaction Postgame Show: Sacramento Kings 116, Milwaukee Bucks 102
Yeah his defense has been really good. Easily the best individual perimeter defender on the team
7 months, 4 weeks ago on Ray McCallum takes advantage of late season opportunity
IT is better than Jimmer by a huge margin. McCallum has been better than McLemore. And Orlando to T-Rob isn't the huge advantage it should be for T-Rob. T-Rob has been traded for cap twice in his career. Jimmer has nothing to do with the Bulls being good.
The Kings have been bad at drafting in the 1st round but have done pretty well in the 2nd. Cousins is the only good pick the Kings have had in the 1st round since Kevin Martin.
Hopefully McLemore is able to improve since he is still young but I am excited that Ray looks like a good player.
We should just trade our 1st round picks for 2nd rounders.
Isaiah, McCallum, and Orlando Johnson have been better than Jimmer, Robinson, and McLemore.

What has Felton done? He had possession of a handgun that isn't a real crime.
8 months ago on Sunday Musings: A challenge to DeMarcus Cousins
Rasheed Wallace (38 techs in one season), Charles Barkley, Ron Artest, Andrew Bynum, Chris Webber, Stephen Jackson,Dennis Rodman, and Lance Stephenson.
Blake, Kobe and Melo always are in the top 5 in technicals as well.
Larry Bird, MJ, Reggie Miller, Karl Malone, and John Stockton didn't get a lot of techs but all of them got in fights during games or threw intentional elbows.
This isn't little league not all players get the same amount of minutes and same opportunities. Jimmer had good games and had bad games as a King. He just needs to be more aggressive when he joins the Bulls. When he tries to set up Aaron Gray instead of shooting is when he has bad games. Jimmer was too unselfish, when you are in with a bench team as bad as the Kings just let it fly.
8 months ago on A final conversation with Jimmer Fredette
I'm not going to argue because Jimmer is on the Bulls now. I just don't agree with anything you said.
MJ and LeBron were terrible shooters when they entered the league.
Name a championship team who built around a pure shooter. Teams build around great scorers but Jimmer can't create his own shot or at least he never showed he could in Sacramento.
There are many more superstars with Cousins personality than Jimmer's.
Jimmer best case scenario is a good role player. You don't build a team around a pure shooter.
In my opinion Jimmer is a pure shooter. He can't dribble well enough to be a PG and isn't tall enough to be a SG. He has a role as an Eddie House type player though.
Good luck Jimmer! Jimmer just wasn't a good fit on this team had too many weaknesses. Hopefully the Bulls minimize his weaknesses and maximize his strength (shooting)
@APQP Cousins had absolutely no problems off the court and is known as a great person. You can hate the player but don't hate the man.
8 months ago on Road Reaction Postgame Show: Los Angeles Lakers 126, Sacramento Kings 122
Kings defense was again terrible. Is it just me or is our defense even worse when Cousins doesn't play?
Assists and points don't mean anything if your going to give up over 120 points!
@sleslie1 This is what Cousins has said about Jimmer.
Doesn't sound like Cousins hates him. Cuz also said it was sad that Jimmer was leaving but it's the nature of the business. It was just something stupid someone made up.
