@The Rise of the Eleventh I'd love to hear the Big Finish stuff. Where should I start though?

@Trillian @Whogasms knows THAT MISSY TELEPORTED, NOT DIED!
I think he writes with his heart and his head and his pen (or keyboard).

I like RTD and I like Moffat. They are both brilliant.

They're scientific instruments!
Happy birthday Sir John, I hope you like the Dr Who figure. It must be a bit of a thrill having a toy made from your likeness.
See, Dr. Who was worth it, and I hope you return, if not on screen, then perhaps audio.
1 month, 1 week ago on Happy Birthday, Sir John Hurt!
@The_Doctor_ I wonder if John Hurt would be up for it.... Bloody brilliant if he was. He was great as a The Doctor.
1 month, 1 week ago on Speculating on Series 9’s Big Cliffhanger (Part 2)
@The 4th Doctor I know McGann has his audio stuff but it would be awesome to see him on the screen a bit more.
Whilst Eccleston isn't up for it, McGann, who is clearly up for it, should be rewarded with some screen time.
And, why do multi Doctor stories have to be so infrequent?
@Hirmien @Planet of the Deaf I kept thinking as Danny went off at the Doctor... why doesn't Clara tell him that The Doctor saves lives, that he spent hundreds of years protecting a planet when he didn't have to. Danny was ignorant and rude.
1 month, 3 weeks ago on The 5 Greatest Weaknesses of Series 8 (Part 2)
@The Watchful Guardian @Scribey I am curious. Which companion, including the Classic series, stayed longest?
1 month, 3 weeks ago on Are you happy with Clara staying on? Poll Results
@AlessandroArsuffi @gunslinger19 I love Martha.
@Aztecs, Daleks and Cavemen Last year everyone was complaining about Clara's character not being developed and this year it was developed and everyone complains. And, personally, I have the same attitude. I just want series 9 and I don't care who the companion is. Just more of the Doctor.
3 months ago on Rumour: Christmas Won’t Be Jenna Coleman’s Last
@Pockydon I treat the Christmas stories as fun. I don't look for anything deep in them, just nice to have an episode after the series has ended for the year.
3 months ago on Last Christmas: Short Synopsis
@Planet of the Deaf @NotsoSmartguy I think Amy suited Smith's Doctor more than Clara and I think Donna was best with Tennant.
Clara and Capaldi have been good together. I am looking forward to seeing who the next companion will be.

@Ian Chatterton An episode with the two of them would be amazing. I hope Steven Moffat reads this board.

@mczolly @TheOncomingHurricane @Harry007 Yeah it was a joke... and you're right mczolly.
3 months, 1 week ago on Happy Birthday, Steven Moffat!
I love Steven Moffat and I trust him with the Doctor, so long as he doesn't make him ginger or a girl!
Happy birthday mate. My kids and I love the stuff you do.
If you can though... just for Christmas and maybe for a birthday present for yourself... oh and if the BBC have some spare coin... how about a mini Matt Smith/Paul McGann/C. Baker/McCoy episode?
What a brilliant photo. It is re-assuring to know that both the writer and the lead actor were Doctor Who freaks as kids!
I love how Capaldi's Doctor moves when he's in a hurry, that funny run with his hands moving about. As an aside, is 'idiot' his catchphrase? He's only used it twice. My six year old laughed hysterically the first time he used it... "Doctor Idiot!"
3 months, 2 weeks ago on Poll: Capaldi’s Doctor – Hit or Miss?
@GoodYear92 I reckon the episodes this season were well and truly filmed out of sequence. Capaldi's hair is short and then the next episode shorter and then back to how it was in the one before... For the actor it must be hard to show growth in the character when you're not sure where you're up to in the order of the series... if that makes sense!
The secret to Doctor Who's success has always been that it is watched by children and adults alike. Sometimes there'll be a ridiculous episode the kids will love, or a scary one that makes the kids hide behind the sofa (which they love) and episodes the adults love. It's everything for everyone.
3 months, 2 weeks ago on Michelle Gomez Defends Against Finale Complaints
@Burgess Shale Are you saying that you watched it first time around?
3 months, 3 weeks ago on Rate & Discuss Death in Heaven
@Burgess Shale Christopher is a good example for always employing a Doctor Who fan to play the role of the Doctor. When I hear stories of his fear of being typecast I think that Ecclestone isn't that a great an actor anyway. Have you seen him play John Lennon? I don't think he's any better an actor than the other Doctors. He's just a tad pretentious. One day he will heed Tom Bakers words and embrace the Who family and like The Prodigal Son, I at least, will welcome him home.
3 months, 3 weeks ago on Capaldi and Moffat on the Master’s Gender Change
He should also listen to Tom Baker who says in The Baker Years that he was a fool not to appear in The Five Doctors. "I was adored," he says.
@AB1992 Call me what you like but I don't want the Doctor changing gender. As for Michelle Gomez I never criticized her. She's great. And yes I have discussed this with women and my mother for one is very much against a female doctor.
@SophieMorin I feel like they are testing the waters with this, planning perhaps for a female Doctor in the future. I don't like it. IMO males regenerate into males (race doesn't matter) and females into females. There's too much political correctness... just let the Doctor stay male. As for the Master I guess he could have stolen the body. I do accept that the Sisterhood of Karn have the ability to change someone's gender.
@WiLfreduk Mickey and Martha were soldiers.

@YaelMoise @Christoph1337 The Eleventh Hour. Didn't Matt Smith take the TARDIS for a run to the Moon?
5 months, 2 weeks ago on DWM: Things will never be the same again after Kill the Moon
I'd love a spin off but I would like the writing to be the same quality as that of the current series. Could this be done. Would the same sort of resources be used? I doubt it.
8 months, 4 weeks ago on McGann Signed Petition for 8th Doctor Spin-off
@Baker Street… is the Moment! I wish there was a set of the Tennant specials... Maybe I missed that one but I've never seen it.
9 months ago on 50th Anniversary Box Set Incoming
@Planet of the Deaf Yep. The last ten minutes are unwatchable. Exchanged the DVD but the same problem remains. It starts with voices not synching and gets worse.
If McGann was to spend time with the 12th Doctor then the 11th wouldn't have thought he was at his last life....
I'd love to see more of McGann though.
11 months, 1 week ago on How To Bring Back McGann
@VictorWong1 @Harry007 @bl0ndie98 Oh yes, that was wonderful. Before Family of Blood I wasn't sure whether they'd include McGann but Tennant's sketch book featured a very obvious McGann. So that was great too, the confirmation.
1 year ago on Moffat: Remaking Doctor Who would be Insane
@bl0ndie98 @Harry007 I was without the internet back in 2005 and I wasn't reading anything else apart from watching the show so I had no idea. I never heard mention that Chris was the 9th during that first series.
It wasn’t initially clear whether the
2000s Dr. Who was a continuation or a re-boot. I remember my young son teasing
me when he spotted a tear in my eye when the Doctor pulled out his sonic
I don’t think it was
until Family of Blood when Tennant’s sketchbook revealed he’d been drawing
doctors from the classic season that is became clear that the 2000s series was
in fact a continuation and I was so glad that it was.
About two or three years ago I wrote to Lego and asked them if they would ever consider making Dr. Who sets. Their reply at the time was that they didn't take suggestions from the public!
I always thought that Dr. Who Lego would have boundless possibilities and surely it would be more popular with kids than their Raiders of the Lost Ark sets which wouldn't mean much to kids.
The character building sets have taken advantage and have done good business with their sets. My son has many of these and he loves them.
