@bonniecrocker It may just be that Kellie is more well known on Rickey.org because of her Idol background.
I don't see any consensus - other than most think that either Kellie or Zendaya will win - from the writers and bloggers that cover the show regularly.
As a longtime Kellie fan, the strongest indicator that I see pointing to a Zendaya win is that Z always seemed to win the Twitter polls. However, that may just indicate that her fan base spends half their life on their cell phones.
One thing I will say, before the show even started, I figured that Zendaya would be a front-runner based on what I knew about her show. I thought Aly would do well.
But before DWTS started, even though I've followed Kellie's career since Idol and have been to her concerts, I had no idea if Kellie would be any good at all.
Being a true amateur who has overcome big odds probably helps with some voters.
One related point, I think most casual viewers might think that Zendaya's gotten the most overall points from the judges. Zendaya got off to an early lead, probably because she came in with the most dance experience.
But Kellie passed her again this week on overall points, even though Zendaya was basically spotted an easy 30 for her hip-hop routine.
So, Kellie rightfully should be seen as the "most improved" of the two. If the DWTS crowd is like the Idol fans, that will help her win some votes.
This season should have been a dream season for me - there were some really talented women singers - including my usual favorite, country singers - in the top 5.
There were no annoying guys with obnoxious fan bases - at least not that had a chance of winning. It seemed as if the voting public, with perhaps one exception, was getting rid of the no talent deadweight in a logical manner.
Yet, I never became more than a casual viewer and never voted once. I watched a few video or two every week, I read a few recaps ad I checked to see who went home each week. But I don't think I watched more than five minutes at a time during the actual broadcasts.
I can only speak for myself, but I think I'm just tired of the "Idol" routine. And if I think logically about it, it's long overdue.
i.e. We all know that voting is a waste of time if you don't have an AT&T cell phone that lets you text non-stop for hours. AT&T cell service sucks in my town, and I would never get another phone from them.
I feel stupid that I didn't stop voting years ago, but some years, I did it because it made me feel good to support my favorite anyway.
It might help draw me back if Idol finally tried to fix the voting problem. "Dancing With the Stars" puts limits on the number of votes you can cast per phone number or email or Facebook account. I might bond with a singer more if I felt that I could get in as many votes as a hyperactive middle-school kid.
Right now, there's also a glut of reality shows. "Idol" isn't unique at all.
@takakupo Artie did not graduate. He'll graduate next season and move to Brooklyn (where he just got into film school) for the 6th season.
Jessica's story arc seemed to be useless, but that's not unusual (Gloria Estefan anyone?) for "Glee." It's hard to figure why they paid the money to have her on there. I bet Lee DeWyze would have done it for nothing.
@Holtzter For whatever reason, this school year will take up two "Glee" seasons.
I don't know if Blake Jenner is really coming back. It would be a shame if they didn't, because he's the best actor of the "new" ("Glee Project" and others) kids.
She was non-stop cute.
I'm biased, so I think Kellie will win.
I do think Kellie will connect
better to the DWTS audience, which is older than for a lot of reality
shows. Kellie's fan base, while it's nowhere near the size of Carrie Underwood's or Taylor Swift's, still is sizeable and dedicated.
But I wouldn't be surprised at all if Zendaya wins. It's too close to call.
Way too cute to send home this early. She's going to be good for ratings.
I can't believe I missed this. I"m so glad to see Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood supporting Kellie. That means a lot to her I know.
That was the most over-scored dance of the season. Zendaya dances hip hop on her Disney show, so I was expecting something to blow me away. This didn't even come close.
I'm not a dance expert, so it might have been flawless technically, for all I know. And it was cute. But that dance was lacking in passion, difficulty and energy.
I missed the first half of the show, and both of Kellie's dances, but I think both Aly and Jacoby should have gotten 60s for their second dances if this got a 30. Both of them were so much more fun to watch than this.
I think the next judging panel should include at least one former Idol, preferably from the first four or five seasons, so you get a combination of "Idol" and real-life experience.. My first choice would be Melinda Doolittle.
Bo Bice, Clay Aiken, Taylor Hicks and Elliott Yamin also might be good choices.
Note: I don't think you can get Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson or Kelly Clarkson. They probably have too much on their plate salready and it likely would mean a huge pay cut, especially for Carrie. :)
If people really want to watch this, most of them can watch it on Hulu, iTunes, Amazon VOD, etc.
Still, the TV station should stream the series on a website during its normal air time (and longer) or over an app to lessen the inconvenience and cost to its viewers that are old enough to handle it.
Of course, that would just drive home to these people how outdated the the affiliate - broadcast network model has become, if they didn't already know.
Looks like it's going to come down to Kellie, Zendaya and Aly for the top 3. I think all the others have been n the bottom 3 at least once.
The 5 was harsh. The judges have given higher scores to worse performances, but maybe they feel Andy's not improving as much as the others. I'd like to see him stick around a while still, because he's still entertaining and Sharna is so beautiful.
Best acting ever for a "Glee" episode. The storyline was a bit disjointed, but I think that was intentional, as it made the sudden leap into confusion and fear after the gunshots were heard seem more real.
The two gunshots set off a series of gripping and authentic scenes.
Neither Brittany, hiding out in the bathroom stall with tears dripping down, nor Marley's mom, in the kitchen crouched behind pots that were boiling over and a huge tray of tater tots spilled on the greasy floor, needed dialogue to convey their fear for their lives and loved ones.
Sam's impulsive attempt to go to Brittany's rescue before Shue and Bieste stopped him gave us another strong moment.
The dialogue between Marly and Kitty that included Kitty telling Marly that her mom would be OK because everyone liked her seemed authentic.
The sincerity of the video scenes made them gripping as well.
I wasn't fully satisfied with Sue covering for Becky, after all Sue has always asked that Becky be treated the same way as the other kids. Yet, it did seem logical.
This was an unusually good episode of "Glee." The show isn't as good as it once was, so I feel this is a reward for sticking with it. And if the show doesn't get renewed for a fifth season, this one episode sets the tide in motion for a satisfying conclusion to a groundbreaking series.
@jeffreychrist I disagree completely. By your own admissions, you and Mikhail XO made up your mind to dislike every episode of "Glee" years ago. Thus, the fact that you're commenting at all means the show succeeded.

I've only watched clips from DWTS before, and I don't know if Kellie has ANY ballroom dancing experience, so I am not going predict that she wins. But she's in good shape (duh!) and she's probably more athletic than a lot of people realize, so maybe she has a chance. I just want her to stay on TV as long as possible.

-- Too much Finn and Rachel, as always, even if they weren't nearly as annoying as they usually are.. Clearly, Rachel is the girl that Ryan Murphy always wanted to be. If his obsession ever ends, I won't miss having Finchel stuffed down my throat like corn into a goose being fattened for foie gras.
-- Not enough Brittana, as always, and a criminal waste of Gloria Estefan's talent as Santana's mother. Not even one duet? Really, Ryan Murphy? You idiot.
-- Brittany doesn't graduate and Santana may be headed to New York. If they were Finn and Rachel, this story arc would have dominated the season.Instead, it's a couple of one-liners and lots of hype about Gloria leading up to .... almost nothing. Fire all the writers and start over.
-- Burt and Kurt steal the show. No explanation needed if you watched.
-- Howard: You missed a chance to show Heather Morris as Beyonce's backup from the live performance on ABC. Incredible oversight if it was a mistake, an inexcusable bit of petty arrogance otherwise.
