Twelfth Doctor has to use the chameleon arch for some reason and becomes Caecilius. Therefore for Fires of Pompeii it's actually the Twelfth Doctor in human form. Then this episode might focus on him returning to uncover his Time Lord persona. How awesome would that be? The Tenth Doctor (with the help of Donna) saved his future self without knowing?

@Bert_Macklin @Polyphase  or just release it! I'd love to read it. Maybe we're looking at a Big Finish Lost Stories episode one day.

This ties in with Clara's dates correlating with the show. Another thing I noticed at the time that struck me instantly was Clara's mother's grave indicated she died on March 5th 2005. That when Doctor Who returned to our screens and coincidentally when 'Rose' is set. Therefore Clara's mum was killed by an auton during the invasion. I makes perfect sense! She was 44 when she died and there was no logical explanation. She didn't die of old age, and no mention to an illness or shock death like being hit by a bus. Therefore it marries up pretty good that Ellie Oswald was killed during the Auton invasion, giving aliens a role in Clara's life really early on and foreshadowing her importance.

I wish every single episode of Doctor Who was unknown until it aired. Even hide the episode name until the end and let the enemy be revealed naturally ( if they were in the episode title like '_____ of the daleks'). No next time trailers, nothing. Watching ~doctor Who blind would be brilliant, imagine going in to an episode thinking it was just the next one only to find the Doctor regenerate or a companion join/leave without prior knowledge. It would be amazing! The only thing I can do is try to offer this way of viewing to my kids as they grow up and keep them in the dark of main plotlines.
