Big Finish Doctor Who is great and it is wonderful it has reached 15 years. I only really started listening last year and I now have quite a collection. I think special mentions should have been given to The Natural History of Fear and Jubilee, which inspired Dalek.

@ilyootha is in the Divergent Universe Zagreus may not be the best but I think it is better then many make out.
Good but no War TARDIS.
1 week ago on How does the TARDIS reflect the Doctor?
They calculated how to destroy the Dalek. And JE had a worse DEM then the stories you mentioned under DEM. The sonic screwdriver isn't the worst of Euripides' methods.

They might do a little nod, like having Autons. But no Rose. Perhaps something like Time Crash.

Before we complain let's wait for the episode. There is certainly much potential here. I look forward to seeing the new UNIT meet the Cybermen.

I prefer the idea that a lot of species seem Time Lord due to Rassilon sending life spores to various planets so life evolved in Time Lord form.
1 month ago on An Earthly Gallifrey
I quite agree, all 13 was better. 5 regenerating. Do I have the right? The Doctor's timestream. Adric dying. Blink cellar. I am not a Rose fan though I can understand why this scene is held highly (though I prefer Pollard's leaving). But the overrated S4 finale ruined the impact of that scene. Thank Dionysus they cut grow your own TARDIS. I am your Father is better, as is the Wirrn bursting out of War's chest (they should do something like that in the Expanded Universe). If DW won it should be a decent scene.
1 month ago on Why the Doomsday Farewell is Not the Greatest
@brunott Everyone? Quite the exaggeration. As for saying Rose haters only on website, if you did a slight look on the Internet you would know there is a bigger hatedom for her then this. Then there are well-known reviewers like Welshy or Trilbee.
1 month ago on Doomsday Farewell Declared Greatest Sci-Fi Moment
Gallifrey being brought back certainly makes sense. Doctor Who has continued by shaking up its format. Changing the lead, changing from history to monster stories, revealing his race and exiling him to Earth, bringing back the mystery, exiling him to a timeless universe (it had mixed reception but there was a lot of potential! They had to rush the ending due to New Who), remove Gallifrey, bring it back. Life depends on change and renewal. And it enabled more regenerations which also seems a good way of extending it.
1 month ago on Why Bringing Back Gallifrey Is Right…
The Master is the counterpart of the Doctor. I think it would be good to have a new Master who is older, more like 12.
1 month, 1 week ago on Series 8: Master Finale Rumours
RTD and Moff have written good and bad stories. They have their good and bad points. RTD used DEMs too much, liked Rose too much and his finales declined. But he still brought back the show and wrote some great stories with engaging arcs. Moff's arcs became confusing and sometimes Timey-Wimey Ball and Everybody Lives was used too much. But he still created popular stories, popular Nightmare Fuel, the show is more popular then ever and has taken a foothold in the US. Despite some flaws in TDOTD it was still a great celebration of 50 years of the show, from the return of the Zygons to the Motorbike being ridden into the TARDIS like the TV Movie. And at least Moff seems to be taking notice of criticism, such as making S7 less arc-centred and S8 will not be split. Let's look forward to S8 before we go on more rants about how Moff is ruining the show.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Yes, I’m a Whovian, but I’m one of the nice ones
@MaraBackman @Notsosmartguy @sontaran17 I agree. I have softened towards him also. And he took notice of fan criticisms. Like I said before let's look forward to S8 before we go on more rants about how Moff is ruining the show.
As DW has showed, what matters is that it appears that way. You could say there were two potential timelines, this and one where the Doctor died. They both led to this point. Also maybe the timestream appearing that way was due to proximity to the crack.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Trenzalore – What happened next?
Which audios and comics is this science from?
I suppose so. Leave as minor crit on eps, not attacking individuals. Like saying RTD and Moff have written good and bad.
1 month, 3 weeks ago on Dear Whovians…
Why is this such a big story? The main reason for someone being the Doctor is because they are good at the part, not to satisfy the fans who just watch for someone being attractive. Plot matters more then how things look, as someone who has watched amusing special effects and listened to Big Finish knows.
2 months ago on Moffat Clarifies “Ugly Doctors” Comments
I'd count TDOTD as part of the regeneration episodes, but no that overrated S4 finale.
2 months ago on Analysing The Top Doctor Who Stories (DWM 2014)
And unlike 200 stories ROTD above TSE/JE. As it should be.
2 months ago on The Top Stories & Doctors (According to DWM 2014)
Wouldn't call TDOTD best story but understand why there. Rest certainly should be high. Low stories seem to make sense, though don't think Rings that bad. LOM worse.
I think Moff will stay for S9 but perhaps will take less control. He writes less episodes per series then RTD did.
2 months ago on Doctor Who Could Have Ended With Tennant
Of course according to those slimy shippers in the Cult of Skarose DW can't go on without 10/Rose and Matt was awful before he even had his first episode. And 11 should regenerate back into Ten. Good we have another 3 Doctors.
Technically McGann did get a spin-off, the NEDAs. I would prefer to see the War Doctor Adventures (though I understand that will probably be off TV). Perhaps for the final Dark Eyes we could have Emma.
2 months ago on Campbell-Jones Wants McGann Spin-Off
Series 7 was a weaker series but Series 2 was weaker.
2 months ago on Why I Love… Series 7
Maybe Gallifrey will appear but rarely, with the Time Lords acting like spirit advisers to the Doctor. If the Master does return they might warn the Doctor.
2 months ago on Peter De Jersey Hopeful for Gallifrey Return
I really would not want that stupid Metacrisis Doctor in. That seems to have largely been there to satisfy RTD's Mary Sue. And that grow you own TARDIS scene has so many problems. I think TDOTD worked well with the Doctors it had. And they were all able to come together. If we want more Doctors playing a major part there's a lot of expanded universe.
2 months, 1 week ago on Could The Eleven Doctors Have Been Achieved Without Overcrowding?
If unsatisfied there are plenty of other anniversary stories. The Light at the End, Destiny of the Doctor, Prisoners of Time...
2 months, 1 week ago on Smith on 50th Classic Doctor Criticisms
It certainly has problems. But it is still a masterpiece. Unfortunate it was hard to make Davros work with the Daleks after that. After this I would say best story for Davros is Davros (audio).
2 months, 1 week ago on On First View: Genesis of the Daleks
We can see this story's influence on RTD stories, like Parting of the Ways and Journey's End. Though JE rather messed it up, with the Doctor begin angry at his clone for destroying the Daleks, when they had the capability to destroy entire universes. Would like Davros to appear again, though understand it is difficult.
I don't think they should do another multi-Doctor epic so close. Maybe something like Time Crash, with McGann briefly meeting Capaldi. Though I would like War to feature again.
2 months, 1 week ago on Smith Eager for Another Multi-Doctor Story
The episode has a plot which is a bit messy (though still better then that overrated S4 Finale). It is an interesting reversal to The End of Time. The Doctor is protecting the Time Lords, 10 has a short life while 11 has a very long life. While 10 sees regeneration as death 11 sees it as a natural continuation. Some of the problems were necessary, like the problems with the Divergent Universe Arc, which rushed in The Next Life due to DW returning to TV. Moff seems to have been trying to tie up the Silence arc to leave things clear for 12. I agree, not a masterpiece despite the excellent ideas, but beautiful moments, and the final scene is well done and a good conclusion.
2 months, 1 week ago on An Opinion Divided: The Time of the Doctor
Stories set on the Moon. The Moonbase, The Seeds of Death, Frontier in Space, Smith and Jones, Day of the Moon (not set there but Moon landing big part). Maybe Sontarans attacking Moon. It would be good strategic position for attacking Earth.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Series 8 Filming: Volcano Day
Only read the novelization. But enjoyed that. And notable for being the first time Gallifrey was named. So 3 important aspects for Doctor Who.

Remember Cult of 10/Skarose, it is not just about being attractive.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Moffat: Handsome Actors don’t suit the Doctor
@Ollie Walton Harrod Not extreme. It was a mess that at best is pandering to the fanbase, at worse is satisfying a Mary Sue. Cult of Skarose is a nickname for Rose's obsessive fans, those who think she is the perfect companion.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Settling the Moffat vs. RTD Debate (Using AI Scores)
@Notsosmartguy the Superior Venom @JamesCresswell True. And JE is bad.
@JamesCresswell Yes but JE was dreadful and though it was quite a cliffhanger the regenerating certainly did not pay off, save for the Cult of Skarose.
It said the production team was heading to Lazarote. It didn't say it would be set in Lazarote. It could just be another adventure. On this debate between Planet of Fire and The Fires of Pompeii there are plenty of other stories the Doctor could be revisiting.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Series 8 Filming in Lanzarote, Hermione Norris Cast
I'd say Martha was the best of RTD era, perhaps even New Who. I'll give the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oW_xiQtGqHk But good someone is acknowledging how selfish Rose is. Also her dialogue in JE shows she was building the dimension cannon before reality began collapsing so she could get back to the Doctor, despite him telling her this would destroy both worlds. For this she gets her own Doctor. Karma Houdini! If you odn't believe me it's easy to find the transcript.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Comparing the Female Companions of Revived Who
@HitchcockWhovian And the highest score was received by that mess of an episode. Obviously the Cult of Skarose had too much influence.
@Huknar It most certainly does not. The plot was mess and the score was made by those fanatics from the Cult of Skarose.
I think JE is overrated. People were so taken when it came on they didn't notice the plot was a mess and the Metacrisis was largely there for RTD to satisfy his Mary Sue. The Cult of Skarose prefer Rose to good plots.
@Planet of the Deaf TDOTD got lower then JE? That fiendish Cult of Skarose! Zagreus and Paradox!
@DaftDalek And JE getting that high score. The Cult of Skarose evidently.
I think one of the best Cyber-stories is Spare Parts. It is an excellent origin story and I would highly recommend listening to it.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Why the Cybermen should be Doctor Who’s best monster
@IsmaeeldeSilva Another fan of the comics! I'd also like that.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on The War Doctor Returns in “Engines of War”
Hopefully we won't have to wait long for more of the War Doctor Adventures. I'd like to have other races getting involved. Maybe the Vampires could join the Daleks for revenge on the Time Lords. I would love the Dalek Time Controller to appear.
I'm sure the people who don't like him are largely shippers like the Cult of Skarose, who don't understand life depends on change and renewal.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Capaldi on Track to Be “One of the best Doctors ever”
Plenty of explanations for this. The Forgotten and The Apocalypse Element have explained this. First SPOILERS FOR THE APOCALYPSE ELEMENT WHICH YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO. Maybe the Doctor kept his TARDIS working for human eyes to prevent evil Time Lords like the Master taking over and changed his eyes to human with "a half-broken chameleon arch." Simple. And the TV Movie certainly has a lot of flaws but I wouldn't call it absolutely dreadful. Early New Who had worse episodes.
