Good tips. I can attest to the morning one. For whatever reason, I've been setting the alarm earlier and earlier, and getting more done for it. The social and email distractions seem fewer as the rest of the world sleeps.
There's a lot to think about here. Yes, those are daunting numbers, but a lot of people think that just by posting something, the traffic's going to follow. That's absolutely not the case. You've got to be vigilant in your marketing efforts in order to see change. Good post!
I like these! These actions are quick and easy, and show thoughtfulness. These are great steps in building relationships.
Love Twidiot, badvertising and sheeple. Very creative. :)
Good point, Jeremy. This is something all businesses that sell their time need to keep in mind.
Great post. Blogging is really great for long tail phrases. People are so obsessed with things like "restaurant, Chicago." What they may not realize is that they can attract customers by being listed for something like "Where can I eat healthy in Chicago?" Or at least, something to that affect. A lot of good information here!
Good point. As the professional, it's up to you to know the difference!
Totally agreed Patrick. Your blog or website, is also the one place you can brand as your own. A Facebook fan page still has the look and feel of Facebook. Same with all the other social networks. They're great places to go out and connect with the world, but you should develop your blog as your sandbox!
I think you hit it with "No one can see into another person's heart." Good post. I saw that first tweet too, and was pretty disappointed.
Excellent post. It's absolutely true that brands cannot fear the web anymore. You have to utilize it to its full power, and continuously post the type of content that your customers will be interested in!
Good point. Selling requires establishing relationships. Especially now, that customers are always inundated with choice. If you're the guy they think of when they need to buy, you win.
Awesome tips Garin. It all starts with quality content. You have to provide something of value to get a return.
Some great points here MIchael! These are some great tips for showing that you are different than your competition.
Yes. You have to value your skill set no matter what you do. If you don't value it, no one else will.
Good post. It's easy to get in a rut. These are good reminders for how to stay creative and make sure people are interested in your business, and its content.
Good post. It's especially important that not every person try to participate in every platform. There's too many. Find the ones you're good at and dive in. But you're absolutely right. If you lack in a certain platform, it's only going to leave you falling short, and potential customers disappointed.
Nice post. This is a good analogy to draw. It's always helpful to think about your marketing mission outside the box.
Great post, Pam. There's always change anxiety anytime Facebook does something different. But I'm loving the extra space in the cover photo. I think it can help!
Excellent post. I always read my stuff out loud after I write it. You'd be surprised what you can catch that way versus a silent read. There's also some great suggestions for nailing the SEO, and social aspects here.
Excellent post! The web is heading in a visual direction, and I think Pinterest will be at the forefront of that.
