@benbackstreet @CowbellKingdom @TABDOG #FREETABDOG
@TABDOG @mdjaehn Jimmer leaves and it's immediately followed by our worst team output of the season, and suddenly we've solved all our woes. Come on, Jimmer or no, we still would have been blown out by Houston due to that poor team effort. We're 20-37 and only have 4 players that we started the year with, in the first year of the largest change in this organization since we acquired Chris Webber. We're hovering right around .500 since the Rudy trade, even with more moves since that trade. Gay has $19 million reasons to stay in SAC and the fans love him here. His contract is pre-CBA and it won't be matched by any other team. You continue to hate on IT, but the fact of the matter is that he was the 60th overall pick, took better opportunities of his chances and was more NBA ready than the 10th overall pick in that same draft. He is currently being ridiculously underpaid for his contribution to the team, maybe even the most underpaid player in the league based on his numbers. Yes our team is immature, yes our team defense is a joke (although discounting the Houston game we were playing as a top 10 defense per 100 possessions over our last 7). We've been a losing franchise for so long, one shooter wasn't going to save us and it'd be nice to see fans have faith in this ownership group. Anyone who thought the Kings were going to make the playoffs in the West this year was kidding themselves. 35 wins has been my goal since the beginning of the year, and there is still a chance to make that.
@benbackstreet @mdjaehn @Em Gee @sleslie1 100% agree with you. I want Jimmer to succeed, but he didn't fit well here. I am sure he will find a good role on a playoff team. We are getting the right pieces here in Sac, and it would be nice to see a strong finish to the year to get some confidence for next season.
@Em Gee @sleslie1 yeah I'm sorry but can you provide some proof or evidence to this ridiculous claim? Not the stats (still not sure Jimmer averaged 16.4 through any stretch of games yet in his career) or Jersey sales (bc of course Jimmer's jersey will always sell big), but that Cousin's didn't like Jimmer. Cousin's is well known to be a loyal teammate and only wanting to win, I highly doubt you have concrete evidence that Cousin's ousted Jimmer. He wanted the players who gave his team the best chance to win and probably felt that IT as a starter was better and would have equally embraced Jimmer had he ever performed consistently.
@layituplikeaman I love you. You are the one voice of reason on this page
