@Whovian1500 Steven Moffat stated that The Three Doctors was not a anniversary "special" in an interview,  Doctor Who magazine If i recall correctly and Mark Gattiss stated the same in the behind the scenes of "An Adventure in Time and Space".

A simple amendment will rectify the issue  "some regard the Three Doctors as an anniversary special"

It is not my intention to be "nasty"  but I do sometimes point out errors and the fact does remain that Moffat and Gattiss know more about Doctor Who lore than you or I and if that fact offends you then you then you need to grow a thicker skin.

The author missed the point that the "SONIC" now does wood.  It took several generations and 400 years but it was shown in Time of the Doctor when the wooden cyberman was defeated by the sonic.

I fell out of love with the show when Tom Baker left.  I loved the 8th Doctor but,  alas,  he was a one off.

RTD and Moffat have made great casting decisions and I am very confident for the future of Doctor Who.

@Strontium I agree,  his miraculous escapes without reference as to how exactly are tedious,  but the new Doctor Who is written for an audience that are fresh to the stories and usually do not know all the previous "bug-outs" that Davros has done.

Then again,  the same fans are happy to see the daleks return every year (as per the contract negotiations with the estate of Terry Nation)

But this Dalek overload is almost like living through the Patrick Troughton years again.

It would great if the Doctor were to meet a sinister young man on Skaro called Davros.

Big Finish did a fantastic audio book set called I' Davros

Think King Joffrey from Game of Thrones mixed with  Hannibal Lecter and you have the essentials of an intriguing story.

@gwylock1  I forgot my point,  I think it is unfair for this article  to compare the instability of the 6th with the reported "darker fiercer"  character of the 12th as we never got to see what the 6th could have evolved into and we have yet to see what the 12th is like

@gwylock1 @The8thDoctor  regarding Colin Baker,  he is a warmhearted man,  I met him at a Charity fundraiser and he is a real raconteur,  I do wish that he had had a longer crack at the role especially as he had a story arc for his character to eventually become the benevolent  Doctor instead of a madman who tried to strangle his companion.  Unfortunately the BBC saw different.

@Doctor Capaldi  I thought this debate was closed  especially after seeing the other faces  of the Doctor in Human nature,  The next Doctor,  The Eleventh Hour,  The Name of the Doctor,  Day of the Doctor and when he referred to the regeneration limit in Time of the Doctor.

The other faces we seen in the mind bending scene were previous incarnations of Morbius.

The regenerations were counted off to allow the writers to deal with the issue of 13 lives.  It is a shame that 8th and War Doctor incarnations were dumped in the bin to allow that but we live in a throw away society and even a show with 50 years behind it has some rubbish,  ask Jon Nathan Turner  and yet his rubbish doctors are revered and talent like  Paul McGann is treated like a sub-power Doctor.

@Timhogan @The8thDoctor   Your sexual preference does not affect me in any way just as the sexual preferences of supporting characters should not have any impact on you and yet you have a problem with supporting characters being Gay or Lesbian ...
