The day so far for Clara:
1. Gets up and attempts to prepare Christmas dinner
2. Realizes she can't cook and panics, calling the Doctor
3. Doctor visits Clara's family entirely naked
4. Gets whisked away to Treazalore, where a war begins
5. Gets sent back home
6. Returns to Trenzalore by clinging to the outside of the TARDIS and almost freezes to death
8. The Doctor's old now (O.o)
7. Gets sent back home again
8. Returns to Trenzalore again
9. The Doctor has turned into Santa Claus
10. The Doctor dies except not really
11. The Doctor is young again which makes her happy, then he sneezes into Capaldi
13. The TARDIS crashes because regeneration
And now they're fighting a combustible T-Rex and homicidal clockwork droids in Victorian London with a lizard woman, her wife, and a trigger-happy potato while Clara copes with the loss of her best friend. All in the same day. She hasn't even gotten a chance to change into new clothes.
It's been a loong day for Clara :/

@TheDoctor_is_in Doctor Who?
@Timhogan @ChrisMcMillan @Malohkeh"why would he choose a moment that is so dangerous that the slightest miscalculation could cause the universe to explode, when he could just as easily choose a point that has absolutely no danger what so ever."
That does sound like a very Doctor-ish thing to do though: trolling his past selves by whisking them off on random adventures at the worst possible times. As for having to land at the exact same moment at the exact same time at the exact same place, the Doctor's made bigger gambles before and survived :P

The Day of the Doctor example actually makes sense -- the screwdrivers creating sonic shock waves to push back the dalek (with the fancy lights for the visual effect, I guess).

Would the War Doctor really be the type of Doctor to have a companion though? I think it would be more fitting for him to simply operate alone, since he basically shunned himself from his own title.

@ConradWesleyClough That would be an interested theory, but remember that the console design of the TARDIS on Trenzalore definitely belonged to Eleven, and the time stream only contained the lives of every Doctor up to Eleven.

@Baker Street He said it took him about two years to compile all the "Doctor"s :)

@PaddyB @Goldenchest @Notsosmartguy Replace "literally" with "definitively". He was the one who was fully prepared to blow up his home planet to destroy the Daleks. Doctors don't get much darker than that.

@Notsosmartguy Even the War Doctor had a heart of gold, and he was literally the darkest Doctor.
@Tennant_Capaldi Dude. Yes.
