Hooray for that! Doctor Who is not and has never been a fairytale

If they are paying homage to one of the best Cybermen stories ever they better do an amazing story this series!

Why is Osgood back?! She is annoying. But on the plus side classic Cyberman head! Can we have the proper Cybermen back then?
1 month ago on Series 8 Finale Filming: Returning Characters & Monster
@Amy is Hannibal The slightly cheaper costumes works for the cybermen to me because they look a bit botched and still human esque. The new series ones look too polished and robotic. Plus the Earthshock Cybermen still look great today
Interesting idea but the Timelords are supposed to be an ancient race much older than humans

Hold up there; I know you said you'd list New Series episodes only but why limit it to just the new series? Remembrance of The Daleks, Earthshock, Genesis of The Daleks, Caves of Androzani and Pyramids of Mars are also great converter episodes

@BJAMES Eccleston's excuse for not coming back is fair enough but its nothing compared to Colin Baker's treatment during the show and Colin actually went to a convention panel a year after he was fired! I say let it go Eccleston and come back for the fans!

@Gallade Zero @WellSpokenMan Also after watching many Classic serials I rarely notice a 'plot hole' as glaringly obvious as some of them in todays Who. Or if there are some it doesn't massively affect my enjoyment of the story unlike the plot holes in Asylum of the Daleks for example
4 months, 3 weeks ago on The Actual Plot Holes in Doctor Who
@Doctor What @WellSpokenMan No they are not comparable; 8 years is a lot less than 26 years plus not too mention Classic Who has many more episodes then New Who so no they are not comparable I don't care what a ratios says it is it is still an unfair comparison. Its like comparing plotholes of the Hobbit book vs those of the Lord of the Rings book trilogy
@TardisConverse Ten was incredibly vain though! Look at his final line: "I don't want to go" Where was he going: NOWHERE! He was regenerating just as he had many times before and yet he got too attached to his Tenth self; even the Fourth wasn't vain when he went and he was around for much longer as an incarnation
Well of course Classic Who has more plotholes than New Who; it has more episodes and went on 26 years! You can't really compare them in that way really
Thompson again!? Really! He is not good at Doctor Who; he is great at Sherlock so leave him there!

@Liana21 @sontaran17 None of these writers in my opinion deserve to be showrunner. Before Moffat became showrunner he wrote many fantastic stories

No to all of these; we need someone new but who is also a fan of the show

@Huknar @WellSpokenMan @Friend of the Ood I do want a bronze one on there but three of the same Daleks on one cover is really boring. The Doctor one had War, 10 and 11 on it so it was a cool cover whereas this just has three Daleks that look the same. I just think some variation would be nice. The Imperial Daleks look great even today so they could be on here; they were on the monopoly Doctor Who cover so why couldn't one be on the front cover? I'm just a bit fed up of the Bronze Daleks because they have been so overused; yes they look great but if they were going to have three Time War Daleks couldn't they have at least used different variations like Sec, the Imperial Guard Dalek instead of three bog standard TW Daleks. Plus the 60s Dalek is not an inferior design; also since when were they made of tinfoil? Thats such a generic argument? 60s Daleks still look pretty good; yes the TW Dalek looks so real and fantastic but don't knock the originals just because they are old. It was those silver Daleks that created the legacy
5 months ago on DWM #471: 50 Years of the Daleks
@Friend of the Ood But the 60s ones are more iconic in terms of being the first Daleks and as its celebrating 50 years surely some classic Daleks should be on there not just three bronze Daleks; the outer cover just looks a bit boring to be honest
Pity that the main cover is just three 2005 Daleks; why not one of them be a 60s Dalek and the other a Supreme from the 70s or 80s?
Also they should redesign the Sontarans with the silver and black armour they used to have with the return of the wand like weapons, perhaps a little taller and none of the fake muscle detail as that is stupid.
5 months, 1 week ago on Unpopular Opinion: Strax
I agree with this article; we need Linx/Styre like Sontarans again! Strax was entertaining but why did he have to be a Sontaran and not a different species?!
What a fantastic thing to do; my respect for this man keeps on going up!

No 8th Doctor regeneration? Or are we counting that as Classic Series now?
