Could not agree more. I watch the show to be ENTERTAINED. It was a very enjoyable and entertaining episode. I doubt even the writers of episodes over analyse as much as some fans do.

Wow! I honestly thought I would get a bit of backlash from that comment. As I said (and a few others have mentioned it too) I watch to be entertained. It was an very entertaining and engaging episode. If people wish to overanalyse wih themes, sub plot, music complements, etc I just think that sometimes a person writes a programme just to write a programme and not show how clever they are combining different elements. I think my university computing dissertation was less deep than this article. However, it's still cool to know fans care.

This will probably get me a not of negative comments from this but although this is an absolutely amazing article and such an indepth look about how music balances out scenes and subliminal messages... I often think maybe fans read too much into Doctor Who episodes.

I sit down to be entertained and enjoyed and to know there are a few vocal fans (not necessary in this article) who write all about character development and look far too much into meanings and scenes and music complementing scenes... Sometimes I think Steven Moffat and crew just write an episode and don't even think of some of the angles fans write articles on.

It was a great episode. I don't have a poor vocabulary to go into depth about why, I just choose to enjoy it. Although it's a great article to talk a lot about things I wouldn't even consider doesn't make me close minded or limited, it's just a TV episode. Overall though a great piece of writing - even though I never would have thought to write about such things.

There was. When the sheet came down when they were all looking out of the window you can see an out of focus alien head looking at them... That was the Most terrifying part

This show is in such safe hands. Absolutely amazing episode

3 days, 22 hours ago on Rate & Discuss Listen

I must admit there were times in Deep Breath that I had difficulty understand the Doctor. However, it was more to do with the surrounding noise and just needing to turn the TV volume up (and iPad on re watching).

4 days, 22 hours ago on Is Capaldi’s Accent Causing Issues?

The new Daleks very great and the effects were superb.

Although I think Marks writing gets better each year

Absolutely true! I'm available for Christmas special too.... May not be asked.

And if Clara and Co. Do appear it could always be flashback scenes...

Enjoyable! It was beautifully shot (bar the very bad CGI at the end).

Very enjoyable comedy romp... And next week looks amazing.

I thought the casting of a Robin Hood was amazing

I hope Steven Moffat never leaves. Steven and his vision has taken the show from strength to strength and has made the show an incredible success with audiences far and wide. Steven Moffat and team have done an amazing job and made the show a lot more credible. I hope he never leaves.

I really enjoyed this episode. The pacing, the scenes in the school reminded me of Sherlock, the wise cracking Doctors remarks to Clara and some good put-downers. The only thing was it looked very, very badly CGI'ed in a few parts. And I don't like the Bookcases in the TARDIS wall, but that's just personal preference and doesn't take the focus from a excellent script.

2 weeks, 5 days ago on Examining Series 8’s New Title Sequence

I may be alone but I don't like the new title sequence: it's too obviously GCI (and not in a good way). I saw another internet series 8 title sequence with the TARDIS flying through Gallifry above lava pits and it looked brilliant.

I actually prefer the early versions of the RTD era more as it was so fast paced -something which Stephen Moffats scripts are.

However, I am sure it will grow on me.

11th hour set the scene for Series 5

Although I prefer that to Deep Breath it could change at the end of the series

I still do miss Matt Smith

2 weeks, 5 days ago on Face-Off: The Eleventh Hour vs Deep Breath

Thought it would be higher like the 11th hour but still very respectable. I would expect it to jump to around the 8m mark. Maybe they should show the series in Jan/Feb when it's dark outside as the 11th hour was shown at Easter in April

A beautiful episode!

When Amy present meets Amy future through dancing - that music was epic.

And the twist at the end... Dark!

I am sure all will be great and if you did a poll at the end of series 8 the results will be so different...

A lot of people looked forward to The Gunslinger and Angels in Manhattan came out as top

3 weeks, 3 days ago on Anticipating Breath, Dalek, Robots, Listen, Heist & Caretaker

I think it will be a classic villian... Maybe Omega, the Sea Devils, The Valeyard or someone like that. Steven Moffat said he was done with The Master for a while so cannot wait to see who it is. I've avoided all spoilers (bar one)

3 weeks, 5 days ago on Moffat Teases “Major Foe” For Series 8

He certainly knows how to spin it and drum up interest... Very Malcom Tucker

3 weeks, 5 days ago on Capaldi on Coleman Leaving Rumours

Although I think this will be a great episode it's the least one I'm looking forward to. Victory of the Daleks still remains my favourite Mark Gatis episode but there are other episodes in this series I am looking forward to a lot more

If I had my way Steven Moffat would write every episode. The man has a wonderful imagination and I would love to see how he takes this series. I hope he stays as head Writer for the long term.

No! Kate and Osgood back in the finale! Spoiler. I knew I shouldn't have read this article. I've been avoiding all spoilers!

Hopefully I'll forget... Where's the memory worm?

1 month ago on Dawn of the New Doctor

It would have to be for a Comic Relief Special or Children in Need otherwise it wouldn't make sense that Sherlock hid from the Cyberman and Daleks when they invaded. Great idea though and the fan trailer is so well done. However, part of me wishes it was the 11th Doctor versus Sherlock

1 month, 1 week ago on Moffat Would Do ‘Wholock’

As long as it's not John Simm. I don't like how he played the part: to camp and too bonkers. Plus he got locked back in the Time awar so pretty hard to bring him back unless you bring back the Time Lords too. New series, new Master if they were to bring him back

I thought this series was absolutely brilliant and to read your synopsis on each episode reminds me who much I looked forward to each episode.

I thought each episode was great including The Power Of Three (I would say it was better then the Gunslinger) and I look forward to your part 2

I wonder when series 9 starts....?

All sounds good though. Maybe the budget has gone into the actual episode rather than prequels and extras

No prequels on the 8th Doctor, please.

I hate prequels: you know what's going to happen anyway. Unfortunately we all know how the 8th doctor goes. Maybe a one off visit in a future episode in a few years.

The reason I don't think TimeLords can be human is because of the Doctor Donna scenario. A human can't handle a TimeLord brain.
