Although each series has its gens I thought season 6 just topped it for me.
The 2 part opener, the stunning scenery, The Doctors Wife, AGMGTW, Let's Kill Hitler, The God Complex and the Girl Who Waited, the budget, acting, the little 6 week break it was all just perfect.
I loved series 5 and series 7 too but 8 ranks the lowest for me

What an amazing article! I absolutely enjoyed reading it!
3 days, 19 hours ago on Why I Love The War Doctor
I absolutely agree. I went with Mummy. I think the CGI budget went on Capaldi's salary which is a shame.

Last line is meant to be "Give Moffat the budget for a movie and watch it roar!" Can't edit typo, sorry
1 week, 1 day ago on Russell T Davies Interested in Writing A Doctor Who Movie
If there is a movie to be made please let it not be penned by RTD but Steven Moffat instead. I can imagine RTD doing the 50th you would have had Captain Jack singing and dancing and it would have been awful! Don't get me wrong there were a few episodes were RTD delivered a great script but I always felt his 2 partners lacked especially after the cliff hanger and this isn't a Moffat V RTD debate. The cinema showings of DOTD and Deep Breathe were good. Given Moffat the budget for a movie and what it roar!
Some tough choices to make.
Only easy was was the CGI/ Graphics - I thought they went down hill spfrom Listen which is a shame as they are no where near as good as season 6 or 7.
1 week, 2 days ago on Best of 2014 Awards #1-10 Recap
I thought the Visual effects were slightly disappointing starting to go down hill from Listen with only Flatline looking absolutely great. No where near as good as series 6.I think the sleigh ride was awful as it was so CGI'ed (but I did get a really good HDTV). I voted flatline.

I loved this article and the pictures were brilliant!
1 week, 6 days ago on Is the Doctor a Superhero?
Now this is a really hard one. Ideally I would have chosen The Listen Entity but I actually went with The Mummy. the Listen Entity was a brilliant episode but I just saw more of The Mummy

2 weeks, 5 days ago on Why A Multi-Master Story Needs to Happen
I thought the Dream Crabs were good as was the inside of the base and Clara's house but The Reindeers and the sleigh was very poor indeed. It was so CGI'ed the Doctor and crew stood out like a sore thumb. The episode was better than I thought but not stand out brilliant like A Christmas Carol or The Snowmen. I think the CGi graphics in the past series have been really poor indeed. Although it's a small part in an otherwise great run of episodes it's like the icing on a cake. They are really bad lately with that green screen.
1 month ago on Rate & Discuss Last Christmas
I think they special effects very quite poor but the story was betters Han I imagned but no where near as good as A Christmas Carol or The Snowmen
Again, I didn't really like another but it has to be The End Of Time as at least the star isn't sleeping through all of it
1 month, 1 week ago on Festive Face-Off: The End of Time vs The Christmas Invasion
True, fair point. However, usually with trailers you get a fairly gut impression of what the next episode will be like. This just looks child like.
However, Steven Moffat hasn't disappointed me yet so hopefully it will be good
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Last Christmas New Clip
To me, it seems to dilute th whole WHO universe. We have the stunning Day Of The Doctor. the gripping The Doctors Wife. The brillian Blink. The fantastic the Girl Who Waited. And it looks like a really rubbish Last Christmas. Please, whats hapened?
If it's in The Mirror then it must be true! After all phone bugging and false headlines. It must have been a quiet week for Posh & Becks if The Mirror is making this up.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Series 8 Is A “Ratings Flop” (Apparently)
Maybe they should have made the War Doctor female just to test the waters even more.
However, JohnHurt did a great job anyway.
As long as they keep writing great stories it really doesn't matter as long as the character is relatable.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Moffat: Gender is Fluid on Gallifrey
Although I've no opinion of females writers (As Steven Moffat once said you find the actor first then you have the Doctor) Helen Raynors scripts were absolutely awful. Daleks in Manhattan and The Poision Sky were appalling.
I think Richard Curtis for Vincent And the Doctor and call again upon Toby For another The God Complex... And who wrote The Girl Who Waited... That was fab!

Remove all the scenes you want, I still like him... He's a cool Doctor
2 months, 1 week ago on Capaldi Didn’t Want Twelve to Be Likeable
I do like Peter's take on The Doctor and I would liken or him to stick around for another 3 seasons. Although I absolutely love Steven Moffat I think when Peter Capaldi goes then a new show runners sould come in too (however, as you know from my comments I think Steven Moffat has taken the show from strength to strength)
2 months, 1 week ago on Capaldi Doesn’t Plan to Regenerate “For a While”
Absolutely agree with the above.
2 months, 1 week ago on New Who Finales in Perspective: Series 8
In all fairness, these finale episode rankings are opinions.
I completely disagree with every single rankings and think The Pandorica Opens and The Name Of The Doctor far better end a series than fall on its sword through completely hammy acting then series 3 or cop out endings like series 4. I honestly think you have RTD-tinted glasses on.
you rank episodes to how you think they should end when it comes to plot resolution or monster appearance: most people just look at Awards, Nomiations and viewing figures home and abroad. These are solid facts and under Steven Moffat the show goes from steength to strength.
Steven Moffat has written some of the top episodes, cast a great Doctor and got an Internation and National hit... The show is in safe hands
2 months, 1 week ago on Doctor Who TV Readers’ Final Series 8 Episode Ranking
2 months, 1 week ago on BBC Declares Series 8 A Triumph
Absolutely true, yes.
However, the fact that a switch can undo everything was just a massive cop out and to have Daleks spinning around just goes to show how writers now have a tough job making them scary.
2 months, 1 week ago on New Who Finales in Perspective: Series 4
You need to take off your RTD-series-finale glossed glasses.
3 and 4 just fell on their sword
And if you are ranking series 3 and 4 that high then the Moffat series finales will blow your socks off
To this day I still don't get the words Bad Wolf and the reason
2 months, 2 weeks ago on New Who Finales in Perspective: Series 1
Mad much as I like Peter Capaldi as the Doctor and I thought series 8 was good, there are a number of things I would have done differently in this episode as I am usually a massive fan but I did feel this was more of an anticlimax:
I would have loved the Doctor to have saved Kate whilst falling through the sky in his TARDIS
The Brigadier should have stayed dead and Danny should have killed/zapped Missy
The Cybermen needed to kill
The whole plane scene was just a waste - surely just go into the TARDIS
Overall it was good but not great and not up there with The Pandorica Opens or The Name Of The Doctor.

Utopia was good but what ruined IT was The ending of The Sound of Drums.
Dark Water I've only seen part 1
However, it's Dark Water for me
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Face-Off: Utopia vs Dark Water
I loved this article.
However, wouldn't it be really funny if with all these polls, articles, statements done in the past week even before the finale that Steven Moffat pulled off the ultimate joke on us all... And it's not The Master (I havent a clue who The Rani in but people keep going on about her).
It will be all this debating for nothing.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on A Study of Regeneration: Lord or Lady?
I absolutely loved the Missy reveal. Although I kind of guess I was still waiting for it to be confirmed and wondered just at the last minute whether or not I was wrong.inwould have put that as the best thing about the episode.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on 12 Great Moments From Dark Water
I love the story arcs Steven Moffat has brought in.
The problem with story arcs is that a very small group of fans (yet, somehow very loud group of fans) tend to moan that it didn't go the way they thought it was going to when it gets resolved.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on The Trouble with Story Arcs
It was tempting to pick Neil but I voted Richard Curtis. Vincent and The Doctor everytime
2 months, 4 weeks ago on Face-Off: New Writer Debuts
True, I did, but it's like watching a 2 parter: you can still give us a score out of 10 on parts 1 and 2. My only conclusion is that it has blown the socks of DWTV and they are busy trying to find them to give us a score. I'd love to have their job.. Do you have vacancies?!
2 months, 4 weeks ago on Dark Water Advance Preview
And the score out of /10 is, DWTV.... drum roll...
How about 32 as that's how old he is...
I love Matt Smith as the Doctor. He was my Doctor.

Please take out "not so fan favourite". I really enjoyed it! True, it was not as good as The Doctors Wife but not everything is and you don't refer to writers like Mark Gatiss or Richard Curtis (Vincent And The Doctor) as "not as good as Steven Moffat"

Why are people (mostly fans) over analysising, questioning, looking at alternative sources, doing their own reports and say "include this, dont include that".?!
The ratings are healthy. The ratings are fine. And the AI is an indication. There are some episodes I think have been good, not great so AI of 82/84 etc is fine.
3 months, 3 weeks ago on Doctor Who Series 8 (2014) UK Ratings Accumulator
Very good. Not as good as Doctor Who TV made out but I hate... Hate... Kids on the TARDIS. A few dodge CGI effects but entertaining. However I thought the scene at the end was great. I thought it was written by Steven Moffat and it just seemed like it was shot completely differently to the actual story: it seemed slicker, better and edgier.
