3 days, 3 hours ago on Capaldi Didn’t Want Twelve to Be Likeable
I do like Peter's take on The Doctor and I would liken or him to stick around for another 3 seasons. Although I absolutely love Steven Moffat I think when Peter Capaldi goes then a new show runners sould come in too (however, as you know from my comments I think Steven Moffat has taken the show from strength to strength)
4 days, 1 hour ago on Capaldi Doesn’t Plan to Regenerate “For a While”
Absolutely agree with the above.
5 days, 16 hours ago on New Who Finales in Perspective: Series 8
In all fairness, these finale episode rankings are opinions.
I completely disagree with every single rankings and think The Pandorica Opens and The Name Of The Doctor far better end a series than fall on its sword through completely hammy acting then series 3 or cop out endings like series 4. I honestly think you have RTD-tinted glasses on.
you rank episodes to how you think they should end when it comes to plot resolution or monster appearance: most people just look at Awards, Nomiations and viewing figures home and abroad. These are solid facts and under Steven Moffat the show goes from steength to strength.
Steven Moffat has written some of the top episodes, cast a great Doctor and got an Internation and National hit... The show is in safe hands
5 days, 16 hours ago on Doctor Who TV Readers’ Final Series 8 Episode Ranking
5 days, 16 hours ago on BBC Declares Series 8 A Triumph
Absolutely true, yes.
However, the fact that a switch can undo everything was just a massive cop out and to have Daleks spinning around just goes to show how writers now have a tough job making them scary.
1 week, 1 day ago on New Who Finales in Perspective: Series 4
You need to take off your RTD-series-finale glossed glasses.
3 and 4 just fell on their sword
And if you are ranking series 3 and 4 that high then the Moffat series finales will blow your socks off
To this day I still don't get the words Bad Wolf and the reason
1 week, 5 days ago on New Who Finales in Perspective: Series 1
Mad much as I like Peter Capaldi as the Doctor and I thought series 8 was good, there are a number of things I would have done differently in this episode as I am usually a massive fan but I did feel this was more of an anticlimax:
I would have loved the Doctor to have saved Kate whilst falling through the sky in his TARDIS
The Brigadier should have stayed dead and Danny should have killed/zapped Missy
The Cybermen needed to kill
The whole plane scene was just a waste - surely just go into the TARDIS
Overall it was good but not great and not up there with The Pandorica Opens or The Name Of The Doctor.

What a unique theory. Let's see if it happens!

Utopia was good but what ruined IT was The ending of The Sound of Drums.
Dark Water I've only seen part 1
However, it's Dark Water for me
2 weeks, 2 days ago on Face-Off: Utopia vs Dark Water
I loved this article.
However, wouldn't it be really funny if with all these polls, articles, statements done in the past week even before the finale that Steven Moffat pulled off the ultimate joke on us all... And it's not The Master (I havent a clue who The Rani in but people keep going on about her).
It will be all this debating for nothing.

I absolutely loved the Missy reveal. Although I kind of guess I was still waiting for it to be confirmed and wondered just at the last minute whether or not I was wrong.inwould have put that as the best thing about the episode.
2 weeks, 6 days ago on 12 Great Moments From Dark Water
I love the story arcs Steven Moffat has brought in.
The problem with story arcs is that a very small group of fans (yet, somehow very loud group of fans) tend to moan that it didn't go the way they thought it was going to when it gets resolved.

It was tempting to pick Neil but I voted Richard Curtis. Vincent and The Doctor everytime
3 weeks, 2 days ago on Face-Off: New Writer Debuts
True, I did, but it's like watching a 2 parter: you can still give us a score out of 10 on parts 1 and 2. My only conclusion is that it has blown the socks of DWTV and they are busy trying to find them to give us a score. I'd love to have their job.. Do you have vacancies?!
3 weeks, 3 days ago on Dark Water Advance Preview
And the score out of /10 is, DWTV.... drum roll...
How about 32 as that's how old he is...
I love Matt Smith as the Doctor. He was my Doctor.

Please take out "not so fan favourite". I really enjoyed it! True, it was not as good as The Doctors Wife but not everything is and you don't refer to writers like Mark Gatiss or Richard Curtis (Vincent And The Doctor) as "not as good as Steven Moffat"

I thought Flatline was a great episode and the review score was different.

I loved it. No big words needed to reinforce this with anyone.
It's a 45 minute TV programme, not a thesis. Chill.

That was this seasons "Vincent and The Doctor".
That was "The Doctors Wife"
That was brilliant.
Absolutely enjoyable and the graphics were great

I thought the scene looked so much slicker, better and very contemporary in HD. It looked completely different to the main episode. But I loved it! I voted for Clara

Well done! A beautiful article and really close to home. I really enjoyed reading your points and it was very well balanced. At the end of the day, it's only a show (but a great show).

Why are people (mostly fans) over analysising, questioning, looking at alternative sources, doing their own reports and say "include this, dont include that".?!
The ratings are healthy. The ratings are fine. And the AI is an indication. There are some episodes I think have been good, not great so AI of 82/84 etc is fine.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Doctor Who Series 8 UK Ratings Accumulator
Very good. Not as good as Doctor Who TV made out but I hate... Hate... Kids on the TARDIS. A few dodge CGI effects but entertaining. However I thought the scene at the end was great. I thought it was written by Steven Moffat and it just seemed like it was shot completely differently to the actual story: it seemed slicker, better and edgier.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Rate & Discuss Kill the Moon
Whilst Listen was great and Into the Dalek and Deep Breath had its moments, although I do miss Matt Smith and The Ponds, I think the 2nd half is where it all kicks off...
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Thoughts on Series 8 at the Halfway Point
I really thought the Unicorn and the wasp was worst than Fear Her. It didn't make any sense. Panet of the Dead was just an embarrassment. The Lodger and The Caretaker were only decent ones. I'm surprised he keeps getting asked back but I prefer his scripts under Steven Moffat

Regardless of what Critics write its viewings figures that count. Whether reviews are good or bad I still watch and make up my own mind
1 month, 3 weeks ago on 2nd Opinion: The Caretaker
It's so hard to find a favourite episode of The Ponds... Each is great but others are better. Steven Moffat really outdid himself in casting and writing for them.

Is this similar to the Star Trek Red shirt scenario?

Doctor Who TV I think I need to replace you as a critic. I would give this a well deserved 8/10 NOT 6/10. It was enjoyable, funny and actioned packed with zingers of 1 liners. Brilliant,
1 month, 3 weeks ago on Rate & Discuss The Caretaker
Absolutely right... They have come a far way from where they were. Series 6 and 7 graphics were great this series just seems very CGI'ed base. Although when I watch on my iPad as opposed to my TV it's not as bad
1 month, 3 weeks ago on Kill The Moon Clip
Although this story looks absolutely great and I cannot wait I think the CGI in some of these episodes has been shockingly bad: the spiders look good but very obviously computer generated and very badly added in, the spaceship, scene at the end of Roberts of Sherwood
Could not agree more. I watch the show to be ENTERTAINED. It was a very enjoyable and entertaining episode. I doubt even the writers of episodes over analyse as much as some fans do.
2 months, 1 week ago on 2nd Opinion: Listen
Wow! I honestly thought I would get a bit of backlash from that comment. As I said (and a few others have mentioned it too) I watch to be entertained. It was an very entertaining and engaging episode. If people wish to overanalyse wih themes, sub plot, music complements, etc I just think that sometimes a person writes a programme just to write a programme and not show how clever they are combining different elements. I think my university computing dissertation was less deep than this article. However, it's still cool to know fans care.
2 months, 1 week ago on Listen Review
This will probably get me a not of negative comments from this but although this is an absolutely amazing article and such an indepth look about how music balances out scenes and subliminal messages... I often think maybe fans read too much into Doctor Who episodes.
I sit down to be entertained and enjoyed and to know there are a few vocal fans (not necessary in this article) who write all about character development and look far too much into meanings and scenes and music complementing scenes... Sometimes I think Steven Moffat and crew just write an episode and don't even think of some of the angles fans write articles on.
It was a great episode. I don't have a poor vocabulary to go into depth about why, I just choose to enjoy it. Although it's a great article to talk a lot about things I wouldn't even consider doesn't make me close minded or limited, it's just a TV episode. Overall though a great piece of writing - even though I never would have thought to write about such things.
There was. When the sheet came down when they were all looking out of the window you can see an out of focus alien head looking at them... That was the Most terrifying part

I must admit there were times in Deep Breath that I had difficulty understand the Doctor. However, it was more to do with the surrounding noise and just needing to turn the TV volume up (and iPad on re watching).

I hope Steven Moffat never leaves. Steven and his vision has taken the show from strength to strength and has made the show an incredible success with audiences far and wide. Steven Moffat and team have done an amazing job and made the show a lot more credible. I hope he never leaves.

I really enjoyed this episode. The pacing, the scenes in the school reminded me of Sherlock, the wise cracking Doctors remarks to Clara and some good put-downers. The only thing was it looked very, very badly CGI'ed in a few parts. And I don't like the Bookcases in the TARDIS wall, but that's just personal preference and doesn't take the focus from a excellent script.
