Clara won't be there but not for One moment retcon that as dumped. She was not dumped.

Ok. 11 eps!
That's a fair point. But 12 eps in it was a loooonnnng time coming.
Actually I really struggled with how far he went. It was too much for me personally. And it marred the season. I mean, he is an awesome actor and I love his involvement but it was too much.
What everyone is missing here is that "don't cremate me" was a lie perpetuated to keep bodies for Cybermen. It wasn't even real!

For the love of God. Technology and viewing habits have changed year on year making your figures useless. This is why overnights are redundant and final figures all important. There were no time shift figures in 2005. They were very low 3 years ago. They're now at 2 million. Technology changes.

What is been missed here is that it's all a trick by Missy. No one is saying that you can really feel things after death.and I think by the end of the finale this will be clear. That's how version of heaven was a timelord technology construct.

And season 7 was up on season 6. We are back equal to that.

For the love of God. Stop worrying about the flipping ratings. Final figures for Doctor Who are the true picture. 2 million + upwards week on week from overnights. Final figures for reality tv are barely any different from overnights. It's exhausting. Some of u worry without the facts some of you mould half a picture to your own agendas. Both groups are very frustrating. The real picture? A slight and I mean slight dip down from season 7.
Another take on Clara Who would have been to defend it not critisise it!

Add in i player and they'd be stupendous figures!

Finally. Actual facts. Common sense. Technology has changed. Peoples agendas haven't. Despite hard facts.
I'm sorry but u are totally incorrect. Recorded viewing is never counted as overnights. Ever. They are final figures.
You can't conpare overnights for even season 4 to now. Recording devices like Sky + and most recently I player have changed the game. This is why final figures are a must.

I think the increase is due to more people being in this week!
Oh you've made a very silly assumption. I'm 41. I love the idea of Capaldi. I even love his portrayal and one liners mostly. But what I struggle with is his overall meaness. It's getting too much. And my opinion is valid.

Every week. Every flipping week. Everyone throws their arms in the air and ignores final viewing figures. And these are consistent. Even the dip below 7 million for a few weeks on season 5. All seasons infact. Try to get a grip with this mantra. Finals not overnights. If we see finals edging down to the bottom end of 6 million then we can reacess the situation.
I'm defending the show cos of the facts. That said. I'm not enjoying it anymore tho.
I have ate slept and breathed Who for 10 years now. And I'm clinging on by my nails. That was mediocrity in the extreme but much more importantly he is fundamentaly unlikeable. They lost me after listen. The last great Ep. It makes me so sad. I loved Moffat Smith tenure
Actually it was practically an episode of Hustle but then I found out Leverage was the remake of Hustle! So we r both right! ;)

With respect you know big words and phrases but u on this occasion have also read waaaay too much into a comment at the end of the episode. Given how much they have laboured no romance, how much he is not even a hugger, your interpretation is a massive leap. They couldn't be more clear on this on the production side. And if u distrust Moffat (which I can understand he does like to troll ) then don't distrust Mr Capaldi. He is VERY clear on the subject and it mirrors your feelings. The Doctor is jealous of her attention only. He likes being revered and doesn't like the thought he's competing.
You've totally misunderstood that ending. It's got NOTHING to do with a date. He didn't say it was a date. He said breaking into a bank was better than a date. He's jealous of competition for attention. It's ego. Not love. And it wasn't hard to see that either. How much have they stressed no romance? Loads.
Shame I can't re vote. I was distinctly unimpressed last Sunday. But on third watching it gets better and better. And really emotional. 9/10. I literally think this may be my episode highlight since 2005.

I think he's simply expanding on and broadening the story of the Doctor and why not? Stunning writing on this one.
This is not the first time Clara has been fully realised this season. Clara as a character has soared since and including Deep Breath.

I think Sunday nights would benefit the overnights but catch up always averages 2 mill way above other shows.

My goodness u r frustrating. U r not looking at final figures tho r u? Cos if you were u wouldn't be so alarmist. The AI is lower there's no two ways about it but they hold little relevance. Anyway the bruise on my head is sore from the brick wall so I'll leave u to it. When the figures consistantly dip below 7 mill I'll join u in concern. Personally I think the not user friendly 12 is hard for the casual tv viewer to warm to.
I'm really not worried one bit. These final figure differences between 7/8 are negligible. I'm resigned to the fact that these conversations will always take place weeks after week. It's the nature of the Who fan.
The difference between us is u r looking at the overnights and placing all your stock in them. I am going on the final figures. The full story, and placing all my stock in those. So we are always going to disagree. You are only looking at half the figures that really is the truth of it.
Actually the finals figures are on course with season 6 and 7 give or take minute differences, so I'm sorry u r pretty much wrong. Let's have this convo when all final figures are in shall we?
Because technology has changed the viewing habits for millions. Including you by your own admission.
Why do the same people cry doom every week then get proved wrong on the final viewing figures then ignore their experience and cry doom again the very next week?
4.8 is not the proper figure. It's a small portion of it. To ignore the final figures is to ignore the true ratings. This will be around 6.8 million next week. Plus u HAVE to take in to account all the other stats. The 2 highest rating progs both were the same and both took hits. The difference for X factor is it has a small time delay figure. Who has a whopping record breaking one.
I love Moffats work but not this Ep. Where's that leave me?!
I'm a fan of his Doctor. But I have had to check at least one line with subtitles in every show. I think it's the speed of delivery coupled with accent.

Average fan here too. RTD era was great mostly and for me Moffat era even better mostly. I'm very grateful for the show.

The worst haters of new a Who are classic fans who want the program they know and love back. I think it's their youth the hanker for. And I totally get that. The truth is. I've tried watching it time and time again from the classic years. But it's unwatchable. From the long episodes with nothing happening, the awful music. The hamminess. It was a great premise let down by its budgets and era. Worst offenders being the 80's and late 70's. I gave it another chance with new Who because I love the premise so much. And I've never looked back. Love it. I'm 41. I was always meant to come from the classic Who camp I guess being in that age range.
I disagree there. I think he will leave after 8 and to announce it now would take some of the shine away from the new Doctor. His tenure will also mirror RTD if he goes then.
