Finally something closer to where I live :)

Eccleston was my first Doctor. I wish he would come back for another special episode - maybe the 10th Anniversary of New Who (if we get one). On a separate note - does anyone know when Weird and Wonderful returns? I thought it would be once Series 8 finished.

I'd like Clara to stay for at least one more Series. If, however, she does leave I want an alien to be the new companion. Since 2005 the companion formula has been the same - London, England or at the very least England. Even Amy Pond, who was Scottish, lived in England.
1 month ago on Moffat Can’t Confirm Jenna Coleman for Series 9
They can change the sonic screwdriver but I don't think they should change the Tardis - not until Series 10 at least.

I would have liked the Rani to return but Gomez was also a good Mistress. If the Rani were to return (and since this was revealed it seems more possible) I think Katie McGrath would be a good choice.

I voted Utopia. Back in 2007 I didn't see the Master's return coming. In Dark Water (although I enjoyed the episode) it was kind of obvious.

Despite feeling a little bit underwhelmed with Missy's reveal (the Master seemed a bit too obvious), I still very much enjoyed Part 1 of the finale. Hopefully Part 2 can top it. And to Steven Moffat (if you just happen to read this comment) - please bring the Rani back one day. She has potential to be a great villain.

I was hoping for the Rani. The Master seemed too obvious and as such the reveal wasn't that shocking. I had the same feeling with River Song's reveal.
@supermoff needs answers! NOW! @VERITASERUMUK Exactly. If Clara does turn against the Doctor, this could be the reason why.

I think Clara's Gran will die in this 2 parter. The Time of the Doctor showed how much Clara loves her. Danny seems too obvious. It could be both of them.
@Antee991166 @The Moment Unless Clara is the Rani...

@Whovian64 @VERITASERUMUK Just noticed you commented the same. Indeed they do.
Once the Next Time ended I was in a state of shock. That being said, maybe this is the true reason the Tardis didn't/doesn't trust Clara.
@Master Michael Moon Deep Breath was 75-76 minutes long and the remaining episodes have made up the last 15 minutes meaning we have actually had the same amount of Who as we would normally get in any other series.

Just heard about this. She was an amazing woman and actress. I remember her not only from Doctor Who but also At Home with the Braithwaites. R.I.P Lynda.

I don't know who to choose. The Doctor is not human and Earth is not his planet - therefore he has no say in how we run. He had no right to destroy Harriet Jones' career. However, he has helped Earth for many years and he looks at our tiny planet as his second home. The problem with this is that with the Doctor constantly assisting, humanity is unable to spread its wings and help themselves. The same can be said for Clara. She has always seen the Doctor as a hero who helps no matter what and as someone that will always have the answers. He doesn't learn. Amy's trust in him would have been her undoing in The God Complex. The Doctor broke Clara's trust in a brutal fashion. On the other hand, the Doctor will never be around all of the time. Torchwood: Children of Earth is an example of this. He would never have allowed 10% of the Children to be taken. But without him, humanity has to make a decision by itself and sometimes that means a great sacrifice for the greater good.

@DawnTime I think I can see her in the TV trailer. Around about 10/11 seconds a woman is standing next to the Doctor...

@capaldi3699 I miss the mid series trailers. I remember how excited I felt after the Series 4 one. I also remember when I saw the Series 4 cinema trailer. It was before a film (cannot remember which) but I couldn't stop thinking about it throughout the movie.

Is anyone else getting a Classic Who vibe just from this trailer alone?
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Next Time: Kill The Moon
@Captain Grumpy I agree. It was my birthday yesterday and as such I was out last night. Today I watched the episode on iPlayer. The viewings on iPlayer should also be counted. TV is not the same as 10 years ago - or even 5 years ago. Lots of people watch on catch-up. These overnight viewing figures do not concern me as I'm sure they will go up by 2 million. It could be 3 million if they were to add iPlayer.

@Silurian53 Although I agree with you in regards to adding those who went to the cinema - I doubt they were sold out. My cinema screening was only half filled up.

@TheCyberDoctor is Undead @Ivegotkidneys is in a Dalek I think it will simply be, like you said, similar concepts. They will take a journey into a single Dalek. In regards to Let's Kill Hitler, the Teselecta was run by tiny people - people who were shrunk down so they could all fit. Therefore it is likely that Clara, The Doctor and the team will be shrunk down and put into the Dalek. It might be the perfect trap. The Dalek may blow itself up with the Doctor inside him.
3 months, 3 weeks ago on Into The Dalek Clips
I hope the Daleks are a real threat in this episode. Series 1 Episode 6 'Dalek' proved that only one Dalek alone was a huge threat. It killed without mercy or hesitation (except when Rose's DNA started to alter its own DNA). Although the Series 3 two-parter 'Daleks in Manhattan / Evolution of the Daleks' is a divisive story, the Daleks proved they had no mercy when they shot Solomon on the spot. We need them to be an unstoppable force again and for the Doctor to only barely defeat them - without resorting to a deus ex machina.

@DavrosLives I believe it is Aristotle.
@JPatterson2 I agree - it makes it more exciting. When Tennant started to regenerate at the end of 'The Stolen Earth', I actually thought RTDs had pulled it off and cast a new Doctor in secret.
4 months ago on Coleman on Exit Rumours: “I don’t want to tell you the truth”
@A Friend of the Ood I imagine it will be/has been offered to overseas broadcasters. Whether they wish to show it or not is another matter. If they do not offer it to overseas broadcasters it will still likely be on the DVD/Blu-Ray boxset.

According to Digital Spy, Coleman has stated that her DW role is a 'once in a lifetime opportunity'. Doesn't sound to me like she is ready to leave just yet...
4 months ago on Jenna Coleman Leaving at Christmas?
I feel as though we are only just starting to get used to Clara. Series 8 may see her go from an average companion to a much loved companion. As others have said, she has a SJS vibe. I do not think Jenna will leave just yet. The show is more popular than ever in the wake of the 50th and this world tour proves that numerous amounts of countries love the show as much as us Brits.

John Hurt is the War Doctor (AKA The Warrior) and Christopher Eccleston is the Ninth Doctor. It keeps the numbering simple.

@LGwalchmai95 @ Notsosmartguy is superior again!!!!!!!!! I think it is too much of a risk. Look at 'The Rings of Akhaten'. That got a lot of hate for the singing aspect of the episode. At the time I did not really like the episode but since re-watching it, I have found it to be a grower. As for having a musical - I don't think it would be a smart idea.
