my first contact with the show was watching season 22 on UK Gold on saturday mornings, getting up at 7am just so i could watch the mad man in the box. a few months after that it was announced the show would be coming back and i've never looked back. So Colin Baker although it was 20 after his run ended on television, is My Doctor.

The hand on the TARDIS in day of the doctor bugged me at the time, but i came to the conclusion last saturday that it was missy, which seemingly you did as well.

none of those trailers seem to show clara, i guess she isn't a main part of the story next week.

the cut definitely made the story better, the direction of the cut scene sounds a bit cheesy to me, with the rolling head and such.

I've never felt the need to defend colin simply because his performance as the doctor was sublime, regardless of the writing. the stories were wobbly yes but colin baker has not and never will need defending. I should add that the article is fantastic though :)

@SephoraNeedSeries8 in reference to mickey being out of character, he has previous in terms of hacking military systems, he did it in Aliens of London/ World War III.

I have always Loved Colin's Doctor, if it wasn't for season 22 reruns on UK Gold when i was 12 i can honestly say i would never have watched the show when it came back. Thank You Mr Baker.

I am surprised it took SteMo this long to cast him actually, it's been known that he has always been a massive fan of the show and that he had been lobbying for a role just to finally be in it. at least they have finally found a role perfect for him. :)

@IanChestertonJr because they are saying they set the template for modern who, so they have put the bad wolf logo on the paradise towers.

@The Genie @TimeLordVictorious oh i understand, good shout. i forgot that there were 8 episodes in part 2 rather than just 7

would just like to point out that although the snowmen was a christmas episode it was definitely episode 6 of season 7. having bells in there is an unfair comparison.
@The Finn @IanChestertonJr did you miss the joke ?

it's so frustrating that large chunks of his era are missing, having seen the LC recons i believe that the macra terror and the wheel in space would be high up on this list. bit surprised that the web of fear and enemy of the world weren't included. two of his greatest. although as i type this i realise they were all great.
On initial viewing, this episode bit the big one, but having seen it a few times since i believe this is just fantastic. i gave this story 9/10, its not quite perfect but its far from the suck that we had in season 6.

Some sensation stories directed by Christopher Barry, also probably the best cliffhanger in 50 years. The original Dalek plunger scene. R.I.P Christopher Barry
