@supermoff  @stargazer0118 @Scootersfood RTD wasn't perfect, but to me it was much more fun and compelling than most things Moffat has done. To each their own! Have to go, bye!

@supermoff  @Scootersfood Well RTD did some changes to the show by introducting some elements and he gets lots of hate too.  You are not going to make everybody happy, it's the nature of the beast.

@Exalos I really want to like Moffat (and I think he loves the show), but he doesn't make it easy sometimes... Don't have a clue why? Just read the complains.

@The Genie @stargazer0118 Moffat loves doing that as it seems it happens a lot in his series, the retcon of the Time War is another example. Really not a fan. :/

@The Administrator @stargazer0118 Oh I wrote errased instead of erased.. sorry.  Also find it ridiculous that Amy's memory could do such a thing as restoring history. Really not a fan. The whole concept and execution don't work for me at all.

Question: Did the cracks errased everything from 11's past? If so, how come The Great Intelligence mentioned the death of the leader of the Sycorax? Pretty sure there are other examples, but this one comes to mind.

Maybe these cracks are/were selective only. I don't know, but I never liked it that history was supposedly errased or whatever that was.

@TardisBoy I adore this post. Thank you. Personally, Rose is my favorite companion, flaws and all. She reminds me of me in so many ways. I didn't have a father either. And yes, love makes you possessive. You kind of want to mark your territory. It's natureal, every couple is like that. Rose is a very realistic character with flaws and virtues (yes she had them too), and through her eyes I fell in love with the Doctor as well.

@ClaireAbraham I think most people don't realize that Cassadra always had deep self-esteem issues, or at least that's how I see it. She is a villain that deserves our pity. That's why I think her ending was poignant.

I'm in the minority here, I love New Earth! I find it such a fun and relevant episode (we see Boe again) with a very poignant and touching finale. Both Billie and David show other sides of their characters (comedy) and they do it so well. But like I said, I just find the finale with Casandra dying in her own arms so beautiful. It's not one of the best episodes, but it's a solid and very rewatchable one for me.

 Rating 8.5

That said, I still consider The Christmas Invasion the true opener of series 2.

@ Notsosmartguy the dalek of Jersey @stargazer0118 @G_Unitt I disagree completely. Eleven didn't change much throughout, he was basically still the same happy man he always was. I never felt the Ponds and River (whatever happned to her not sure) affected him that much. He didn't seem to experience the highs and lows that Ten did. Even 9 in his short season experienced more than him, IMO. To each their own.

3 days, 18 hours ago on New Who: Doctor Debut Episodes

Reply

@awkward912 @stargazer0118 @G_Unitt Yes evolving because the things that happened to him truly affected his character, all that loss and pain he experienced came to a head in The Waters of Mars when he snapped. He then went running away from his death after, but since he is the Doctor, of course he had to save his dear friend, but we still saw a bit of the Time Lord Victorious with his 'it's not fair' scene. If that's not  compelling  character development I don't know what is. Ten ended up a much different person than he started, he was completely broken and it's why he needed to regenerate.
