@Chris502 Martha was a great character, more realistic, and the Doctor was commanding and charismatic. The stories were mostly great.

@Notsosmartguy's got no strings on him @stargazer0118  Why would ? The whole thing was well done and subtle. Clara, however, keeps getting most of the focus on her and her wisdom. He's basically the hero of the story. It grates. If Moffat likes her so much, give her own show..

@supermoff burning bright @sontaran17 She didn't, though.  But yes, the Doctor loved her. Maybe that bothered some people, but not me because it felt earned.

@sontaran17 Martha a bit (IMO because Rose was the first and had more charisma. I still loved both), but Rose NEVER overshadowed her Doctors. Nope, never felt that way. I think they made a great team and the show was about both of them equally.

Personally, I rather he doesn't come back.. sure I liked TDW a lot, but he wants a female Doctor and I despise that idea.

@DaftDalek is Kavinsky, the Great 80's Annihilator Well Gaiman said he needs more time to write stories for DW (or in general). Apparently it takes a lot of time to get it right. I understand he Doctor's Wife was going to be a 10th Doctor's story but then it wasn't. Maybe he didn't take his time to write NIS. He also said DW doesn't pay enough..

@MrRazza has regenerated into Hippy 12 The Cybermen became the poor man's Daleks, and since when are the Cybermen emotional? Also, Matt's performance as Mr Clever was really too hammy. The kids are only one of the problems.

Mr Clever was  entertaining but it totally defeated the original idea of the Cybermen: they have no emotion.

@Gustaff Those little Daleks were awful but the I think most people's problems with the story is how poorly the Cybermen were written.

@Djornad @stargazer0118 The buzz for the show was especially huge in the later part of the Tennant years (featuring even in the news, newspapers). I really don't see that type of hype in the UK right now.

@ElyotWren The Doctor can be modest it seems. What matter is what he does, and by all means he is one of the most heroic characters I've seen. Of course, some incarnations more than others.

@sontaran17 @stargazer0118 @KingoftheOod4450 Personally, I felt the weight of the Time War SO much more than Trenzalore, because it felt like it truly affected the Doctor. It felt like life changing event. Trenzalore in comparison feels so insignificant and forgetable. We really needed to see more of those hundred of years he spent there, but instead we just told about it. I know we heard a lot about the TW as well, but 9 and 10 truly seemed haunted by that time.

@Polyphase @stargazer0118 Well it seems general audiences and most fans seemed very pleased with these younger and more relatable Doctors. I think RTD was genius and knew what would work best in today's environment, he made the show relevant again and most agree with that. The formula was so genius that even fangirls paid attention. I think the more relatable Rose character had a lot to do with that, not just the young, charismatic Doctors.

Even Verity Lambert agrees with that. Check out this interview with her and RTD and discover what she thought on the subject:

http:// www.sfx.co.uk/2013/11/21/from-the-sfx-archive-russell-t-davies-meets-verity-lambert/  BTW, I"m sure that girl in your avatar was great eye candy for the males in the audience.  It's only fair that the fangirls had a bit of that as well for once.
