@Moxx It was even featured in the news, I think. Now that's popularity.

@TheOncomingHurricane @stargazer0118 Well of course not, but some people are real ***holes..
@The Administrator @stargazer0118 Oh and to some the age difference IS a big problem, as well as the species and superior intellect of the Doctor.

@TheOncomingHurricane @stargazer0118 I disagree, especially with all the hate that sometimes Ten and Rose's relationship gets on this site.
@The Administrator @stargazer0118 Well it's obvious that to me and legions of fans the 10 and Rose's romance was extremely well-developed and portrayed on the screen. And subtle. But to each their own.
@Amy says Peter Davison is the Thirteenth Doctor! Wow that comparison is just gross. Since when are the Doctor or Rose animals? They both seem like smart, consenting and apparently physically compatible beings.

@allons_ywibblywobbly Thank you.
Came across this post in the Vastra/Jenny kiss article. The poster makes a very valid point. And it's interesting that nobody replied..
"Oh, another thing that I think it's very funny. People now support a lesbian relationship between a hundred years old lizard and an ordinary human girl, but they were iffy on the subject of the Doctor falling in love with an ordinary human girl like Rose. Seems a bit hypocritical to me...Love is love, no matter the species, the age or any other criteria."

So Classic Who lasted over 20 years. That's a long time. Do you think New Who can last longer? Do you want it too?
I still would love to see another showrunner after Moffat leaves. Maybe 2. I guess as long as the show stays fresh and interesting, but that's much easier said than done. Very few shows last 10 years, but Who's format allows for much more time than that. Any way, I think the show is so strong now that even if it ends for some reason, it can still return after a short/long hiatus. A rest could be good.

I liked this insight on TEoT and the Tenth Doctor:
"It's also the perfect culmination of the conflict at the heart of Tennant's Doctor, someone torn between his hubris and his compassion. On the one hand, he loved the idea of himself as the hero and the wandering god, and took genuine pleasure from helping others, yet hated how it isolated him and turned him into a killer, giving him a huge streak of insecurity about whether he was actually as good and kind as he wanted to be. After learning the prophecy of his death, he reacts in the way an egotist would, refusing to believe that he has to play by the rules even if it means destroying the pattern of history to save himself. Yet in his final moments, forced to choose between himself and the old man (who gives him the perfect excuse not to save him by saying he's already lived a long life), ultimately it's his compassion which wins out and he finally proves to be a good man by sacrificing the one thing he thought meant more to him than anything else - himself. Whatever else is wrong with the episode - and there's plenty - it's a beautiful piece of writing by RTD, both as a narrative twist and a final bow for an extremely well defined character. Tennant's performance is outstanding too."

@TheBiPunishment Trenzalore is nice but it doesn't move me much.
I forgot about this one: The Doctor's Theme Series 1
In your opinion, What's the most haunting music in the show?
For me is hands down "Vale." Especially this version: https:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj_dD74OSrE
It kills me inside just thinking about how tormented the Doctor feels. It's downright depressing, but I like the intense emotion, it makes the Doctor so relatable and real.
"The Dream of a Normal Death." This music is magical and ethereal. It feels like an impossible dream. There is a song with that title, btw. Makes me feel for the Doctor so much. That shot of him alone in the TARDIS in Journey's End is devatatingly sad.
"Vale Decem." Well he's dying.
"Rose's Theme." This theme is so beautiful and so melancholy, it gets to me every time. It fits Rose's feeling for the Doctor and the tragedy of their love perfectly.

@GoodYear92 @stargazer0118 I watched it via Netflix, so my experience wasn't as intense as yours probably. I just HATED the "wedding," it made zero sense to me.

@TheBiPunishment Angels Take Manhattan felt a bit flat to me and confusing, but it wasn't so bad for me.
Most disappointing episode?
For me is probably "Journey to the Center of the Tardis."
So much potential and it was wasted, IMO. I still like parts, but overall it doesn't work for me.
@yoshfiction @stargazer0118 but especially DW due to all the different versions and popularity.
@TheBiPunishment In the Forest of the Night. I wonder if it's a sequel of the Library episodes from S4...

Fav episode from each series? S1 - Parting of the Ways/Father's Day
S2 - The Impossible Planet/Satan Pit (I count 2-parters as one ep)
S3 - Human Nature/The Family of Blood
S4 - The Stolen Earth/Journey's End/Turn Left/Midnight (so hard to choose!)
S5 - Vincent and the Doctor
S6 - The Doctor's Wife
S7 - A Town Called Mercy
Loving the new updates on the site!
I like Strax like this, not so much in the eps themselves..

@Amy says Peter Davison is the Thirteenth Doctor! OK, so they were farmers, and how did they defend themselves for so long? Did they have weapons? Where did they get them from? Why didn't 11 just take them all away in the TARDIS since it is so big? Things don't make much sense to me...
@The Lazy Cat Rose. Yet she is often voted as favorite companion in most polls. :D
@timelord756 Also some wait till is available on Netflix, Hulu, etc because it's cheaper. The fanbase is huge, but only a portion watch it live.
6 days, 4 hours ago on Deep Breath Record Overseas Ratings
@timelord756 many watch it online, because cable, especially channels like BBCA, is very expensive. I had to drop it because I can't afford it at the moment. Still haven't seen Deep Breath in part because of that and lack of time. I'm running to work now, bye!
@Amy says Peter Davison is the Thirteenth Doctor! The whole thing had little weight to me, and after all the supposed hundreds of years fighting, the town was still the same, little seemed to happen to it, it didn't grow or anything. It was like a fairytale.
6 days, 5 hours ago on Deep Breath Review
@Gustaff Maybe people forget about that way because it didn't come off as believable enough for us to take it as seriously as the Time War. It was more like, "oh yes he was in that planet figthing some guys, right?" The Trenzalore war is more like an afterthought, IMO.

Interesting article, but I just don't care for this trio, they bore me overall, and Strax can get irritating after a while. I just don't think their characterization and character exploration has been strong enough. I mean, compare them to Captain Jack and Sarah Jane, for instance. There is a reason why they got a series of their own and this trio hasn't.

@TheBiPunishment William Shatner, Brent Spiner, Leonard Nimoy, for instance.. It would be geektastic for me!
@KingOfTheInterWebs has Kidneys @Gustaff I can watch long movies like the classic Ben-Hur or newer stuff like Braveheart and The Shawshank Redemption because they are well-paced, engaging and enthralling througout. That's not the case with lots of classic Who, IMO.
@TheBiPunishment I predict DB will be best episode ever for a while... :P
@RoastNewt @stargazer0118 Never understood the Martha hate. She's not my fav, but I liked her quite a bit.
@treker68 @stargazer0118 @Gustaff what's wrong with kissing? Kissing is good, seriously! ;)
@Doctor What and Where It really feels like 9 had been traveling alone for some time. I can see him feeling too confused, guilt ridden and needing some time alone.
@microbat98 Some of the stories (Classic Who) are genuinely good/brilliant, but the slow pacing let them down a bit. Conversely, some New Who stories REALLY needed more room to breathe.. cough series 7 cough..
@RoastNewt There should be an article or something about our guilty pleasures (episodes)... :D
@floppy_who Earthshock wasn't too slow or repetitive.
