If I remember correctly, the novel History 101 was set during the Spanish Civil War.
Anyway, an interesting aspect of Spanish history worth focusing on in a Doctor Who story would be the Inquisition, but, I'm afraid, what in other circumstances would be a brilliant choice in villain, an Inquisition high-up would be too similar to Ben Miller's Sheriff of Nottingham, which we had last year, so that's most probably ruled out.

I hope this time I can get round to visit the set since the last couple of times it either logistically impossible for me to get there even though it was relative close to where I live or way too far and, thus, expensive and I couldn't afford it. It is, nevertheless, an honour for me as a Spaniard to have the DW cast and crew come to my country to film for the third consecutive series.
And, to quote Seb, I've got just one more thing to say, and that is SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
@darrynlee1 Well, last time they were reunited he ended up loosing Lucie Miller and his great-grandson Alex to the Daleks, so I don't think he'd like to return because of... you know, the feels.

@elliotcook1 @Xisco Lozdob Oh, well, never mind. Thank you very much. It was a bit of wishful thinking, anyway, I guess.

What does Danny say at the end of the TV trailer? Is it just me or does he say something about the Doctor's face (Frobisher, anyone)?
@TaylorBoone Well, it's a little bit more tricky this issue, as all the times those terms have been used it's been by alien beings who don't speak English, so they are translations by the TARDIS, which tries to accommodate those terms to the English language and culture, while possibly being the same in Gallifreyan.

@King Joffery You remember that other teacher from TDOTD? He probably is her friend, but in the series they focus on the love interest because it's a more important part in her life, and, since we'll be able to see how she behaves in the presence of a true friend in her relationship with the new Doctor, we probably don't need to see that kind of dynamic repeated (albeit with some obvious differences, of course) with another character.

I'm so glad the Low Cost DW sketch is here. It was made by the cast and crew of a Spanish webseries called 'La Supercafetera' (The Super Coffee Machine). It's quite good. If you know Spanish (if you don't, too; use the Youtube subtitles or something xD), I highly recommend it.

On another note, yay! Doctor Who is filming in Spain again! The sad thing is that every time it happens it is in a city too far for me to be able to go.
@DoctorMayhem Maybe something like the Clone Wars and Rebels TV series that Star Wars is making? I would prefer it was canon, though.

This would be a fantastic idea given that it was rightly produced. But I would love to see a pilot, at least.
When I heard agent Simmons saying "the TARDIS" I couldn't help but let a little scream out. That moment was perfect.

@Liana21Clara was a normal human woman until she jumped into the Doctor's timestream. At least from her point of view, she started normal and became, let's say, lots of normal (which, certainly, isn't very normal), but now she is normal again, just as Rose and Donna. That was a lot of normal in one paragraph! xD
11 months, 3 weeks ago on Danny Pink – Master of Disguise?
@Liana21What old friend are you speaking about? Rose (the blond annoying girl) or Susan (whose Gallifreyan name could be translated as Rose)?
It was rumoured some time ago that the Series 8 finale would see the first multi-Master story, so why can't there be tow Docs in that story too.

If Mr Dance were to play the Master, it would have to be with a beard, because without it he looks a lot like Hartnell. No, seriously, the resemblance is uncanny.

@Liana21 Option B would seem more likely, since other people in similar night dressing were also seen as far as I'm aware.

@TheNameOfTheDoctor It was spotted a few days ago when they were filming on another location. He's wearing a black sweater with white spots underneath the Crombie jacket.
@SteveWillis @Xisco Lozdob @Sultan Of SwingYeah, I kind of supposed it, but it's so racist that I ignored that aspect.
1 year ago on Series 8: Meet Danny Pink
@planetproductions12 But Amy and Rory were a couple before travelling with the Doctor. Even in The Eleventh Hour (sort of...).
@Sultan Of Swing Mickey (at first) was a complete looser. This is a school teacher. Where on Earth do you see the similarities?
On another note, I want Prof Malcolm Taylor to come back in a UNIT episode.
I wish there was an episode entirely set in Coal Hill School in which we could explore Ian Chesterton, Tom (Tristan Beint) and Mr. Pink's relationships with Clara, as well as a nice "base under siege" type of storyline, similar to Remembrance, but with another foe (a new one).
@btedds4 @Xisco Lozdob Nope. Primrose is played by Willow Shield, not Sinead.
1 year ago on A Time Lord Wish List
@YourSpacialHatness Try to see it from an in-universe point of view. He's an extraterrestrial being part of an alien species which you, clearly, don't understand (well, neither does anyone, really). Narrative-wise, it could happen.
You would say: 'The Doctor is a Time Lord, not a Time Lady'. Maybe in Gallifreyan they're both one word. We could never know, since we'll always listen to them in English, but there's the possibility.
And, btw, he's not a male role model, he's a universal role model. ;)
1 year ago on Doctor Who’s Biggest Missed Opportunity: A Surprise Regeneration
I want Sky (and Luke too, maybe) to be a companion, the Smith legacy. It would a nice homage to Mrs Sladen's character. Perhaps just a few episodes, when Capaldi is travelling alone, he meets them and, after saving the world, invites them to travel with him.
@Jamie Reviewer I think exactly the opposite; the handbots were the best thing about the episode. They such a great concept. But the story was boring except for the only other good concept of the episode, the desynchronised timestreams. 7/10 for me too.
1 year ago on Best of Matt Smith: The Girl Who Waited
@FMOB11 @ilyootha You have to admit that Sontaran soldiers (the ones who are not high officials or strategist leaders, that is) are a bit dumb at times, so that scene could be completely logical.

@Ste_Zace Matt Smith faced the Daleks in his third episode and he's stayed for 3 years, so, you never know.
@JFrance649 Well, you can accept anything as head canon. Take, for instance, the case of the way the Time Lords are born. Are they loomed or do they reproduce sexually? Some sources contradict the others, so, ultimately, it is the individual whovian who has to choose what to believe as canon or not in some aspects of the whoniverse.
@Gustaff Of course it's not! It's the Kandyman!
1 year ago on Series 8: A Returning Character & Monster
Brilliant article! Completely agree with you, specially in the part where you explore the psychology of the Doctor's thirteenth persona (11th Doctor).
I think that he, seeing as his immediately previous incarnations had been so human and had lost so many people, adopted a more alien and oblivious to the human customs personality as a self-defence mechanism, but, also, as a counterpart to that alieny side, he surrounded himself with a (human-ish) family, which, knowing he was in his last incarnation, he hoped would outlast him, and, thus, he wouldn't have to loose anyone else. Then, of course, he lost them, and probably was self-forced to detach himself from anyone, so that he could never loose or hurt anybody else again.

I don't really think that they could have foreseen it. The Moment wouldn't have let them, because that'd have interfered with its plan.
