This is good, and as for the Dalek episodes, lets just hope this / these are decent. We haven't had a good one (excluding Day, as they weren't the main plot) since 2008.

@TheNameOfTheDoctor Would have thought they would be more interested in upgrading them
3 weeks, 6 days ago on Series 8 Finale Filming: Returning Characters & Monster
Oooh! So excited. Reminds me of Doomsday, just that picture of the Cybermen on the street!! Maybe that cyber-head is the one from Dalek! :D
@supermoff "Saturday's and Doctor Who go together like strawberries and cream."
You mean fish fingers and custard? ;)
1 month ago on Series 8 Airdate Confirmed, New Trailer & Image
@Notsosmartguy @The Finn @minifigureman11 But surely a true Whovian wouldn't put other shows above Doctor Who! Right? ;)
@Pockydon Haha, I read that and suddenly Dark and Endless Dalek Night started playing in my head!
Perhaps I didn't read the article clearly enough the first time (my bad), but my points still stand.
1 month ago on Moffat: Who says the Doctor is NOT human?
He says it about a billion times throughout the entire 50 year history, along with the talk about how great his people are compared to humans, etc., and how the Time Lords have been around for so much longer.
@The Mind Probe In all honesty, no. I think that was best as a one-off surprise.

@thedarknight412 Saving the Earth at the last minute in a change of heart is highly similar to The End of Time!
@Thesilence_1994 Me too! I think most people do like them, but it is those who don't who are very vocal about it!

Funny how that old logo is still used for merchandise and advertising. It is, let's be honest, the best logo, and I wish that they could just go back to using that

And how on Earth do they know this? I'm sorry, but this seems to me like garbage with no proof at all.
1 month, 1 week ago on Series 8: Master Finale Rumours
@ChrisCreveling Actually, now you say it, you have a good point, as long as we are all respectful of each others opinions
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Yes, I’m a Whovian, but I’m one of the nice ones
I do think the whole Moffat and RTD hating groups are definitely exaggerated a lot. The vast majority of people here are very respectful of both writers and other whovians. It is just a few who cause controversy and start arguments, hence the whole thing gets blown up a lot.
@Huknar Yes but bearing in mind that this show has gone on for 50 years, and will probably last a fair amount longer
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Is it time for Davros to return?
@Huknar Not to me it isn't. Especially as those 6 years make only 3 series (4 if you include series 8)
@TheBiPunishment No. Nice as it seems, in Davros's eyes, the Master is most likely to be another enemy, but what if The Master and The Doctor teamed up to defeat Davros, and just as they defeat him, it turns out to be part of a much greater plan made by The Master.
@MeglosProductions Not just the 'one crucible survived' excuse that they deployed in Victory of the Daleks. Awful.
No! As much as I like the idea, I don't get why old villains have to be killed off and just turn out to have survived 5 years later. It gets repetitive, honestly. I don't see why Davros cannot just be left alone now. And at the moment it is 6 (7 next year) years since he was on, but realistically that is not that long. If enemies are going to keep on reappearing, it needs to be a massive gap (10 years), otherwise the novelty and surprise is gone.
Sooo... They travelling by TARDIS or..?

I have never understood the hate against this episode. It, for me, is up there in my favourites ever. I know so many people (in person) who watched this, and there is not a single one who dislikes this episode. You hit every point there perfectly, and I could not agree more.

Very nice article!
Can his hearts change position? I'm pretty sure when we saw them in The Power of Three they appeared to be arranged differently to normal, but I may be wrong.
1 month, 3 weeks ago on Two Hearts: Better than One?
@floppy_who Maybe it's not set in the present day, so it wouldn't look right in the real Bristol.

@TheNightmareChild I don't mind it if they got rid of the counter-melody. It is horrific :(
2 months, 1 week ago on Series 8 Confirmed for August, First Teaser Trailer
@Mikeyboss182 While I don't dislike the logo, Doctor Who does not need yet another different logo!!
Oh and please do bring Jenny back in series 9!!! It would be amazing!!
2 months, 1 week ago on 5 Could Have Been Companions
@Planet of the Deaf Those Claras / Oswins were definitely much better than this one. The Victorian one was a favourite companion within minutes. The modern day one is mu least favourite.
@LotsOfPlanetsHaveANorth While I loved Handles, I do think he is better off as a one-off character. He was brilliant in Time, and having permanently around would get boring rather quickly.
Very good list. One thing that you talked of at the end was great – experience with space travel. It would be great if we could get a companion from the future, who knows stuff, rather than the same 21st century stuff. The last real time we got that was Captain Jack (nine years ago a few days ago, believe it or not!!!).
Too many doctors would have ruined it in my view. It was fine like this. In fairness, 1-3 are dead, 4 was in it, 5-7 weren't, 8 had a minisode, 9 wasn't and 10-11 were, so out of 8, 4 were a part of it!! Not bad really. Plus we got a new Doctor, and we still got the 'all twelve' moment, which then became 'all thirteen', so to say there weren't any classics isn't fair.
2 months, 1 week ago on Smith on 50th Classic Doctor Criticisms
@giddir I hated Name, and Wedding was quite decent, but all the two-parters (and the three-parter) have been above these in my view. The worst was Name by far.
2 months, 1 week ago on Two-Part Finale for Series 8
@Huknar I don't see why it cannot be done this series to be honest. In fact, I don't see why it was ever broken in the first place. Oh yeah, a series split over two years for some stupid reason. Genuinely, there is no reason for it to be a slow process of going back to that true method. But I do agree, then is better than not at all.
@MatthewButcher It's very unlikely. More than anything the writing styles may be completely different and the story may not make much sense, but I do hope that it is the case.
@TonySimmons Yeah, I cannot believe they're almost doing the same as last year. Would have thought somebody would have listened to the fans..
@Earthborn Well we know that 8 of the stories so far all have individual different writers, so unless the remaining 4/5 are actually two or three stories, then the chances are they are all single-episode.
@JFrance I felt that series 7 was horrific without two-parters. Also, it probably worked well given that it was effectively 2 6/7 episode series, so two-parters didn't get as much attention, if you get what I mean.
@Richy Woo It really would. So many people watch on Christmas day and they simply wouldn't have a clue what is going on.
Seriously? Only one two-parter. Not meaning to sound ungrateful or rude here, but has nobody at the BBC learned that the vast majority of people want a decent amount of two-parters, and are fed up of not having one since the middle of series 6, in 2011. Last series without two-parters just felt horrible having so many short stories like that. And we're going to have to do that again until the last story?
Well, Torchwood sort of went there, and I wasn't overly please about the end result. The show is global enough. Anything else could ruin it. I think it must be kept original and only British, and maybe spin-offs would do if one is desperate for another show.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Could An Overseas Version of Doctor Who Ever Work?
Can we not just all have our own opinion on this however we feel is right, without having to constantly criticise? Yes, good thanks :) Erm, Donna is the best, then Amy. Rose, Martha, and then Clara in a dead last.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Comparing the Female Companions of Revived Who
I agree with everything here.
Also, there are no survival problems with them. It is known that there are cyber legions everywhere, and they have many forms and evolve, etc., unlike daleks which have their continuity completely messed up now. Finally, they have cybershades, cybermats, cybermice, etc., which are so cool!
I also think that cybermen stories are generally written better. Out of 5 cybermen stories (where they are the main plot) in the modern era, there is not a single one I think is not particularly good (I'm not a fan of Nightmare in Silver, but it wasn't a bad episode, I just didn't like it that much), whereas with daleks there are 8 stories, 3 of which (all the 11th Doctor ones sadly, not saying I hate the entire era though. It includes Time but not Day) I disliked.

Oh nooo... Just finish it off for goodness sake.. I enjoyed it but this is going to drag it out now.
Note: I may end up changing my opinion on this by tomorrow!
Fan!! Really enjoyed both Who stories (not seen the Torchwood ones). Would like her back!
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Bring Back… Helen Raynor
To be honest I don't think that any of the Doctors really stay for long enough. 3 series is actually not much compared to some TV shows, and some of the classic Doctors (especially Tom Baker himself (knighthood?)) :P But I enjoy the change and new adventures each Doctor and companion brings, and as long as it has been good, then there isn't much else to say I guess.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Smith Jealous of Capaldi and Series 8
@JJ2000 @shyx111 Haha yep! I really didn't like any that much other than Day, and in a few ways Time was alright.
@Ivegotkidneys Don't know, but the person who played Malfoy is Tom Felton :)

@ahunter8056 @Angie Whodini @Kylephantom4 To be honest everybody, it really doesn't matter. I personally prefer The Doctor as a name, but ultimately, we are all talking about the same thing, and we all get it. It's not a big deal.
