@supermoff, defender of Series 7 I completely agree, but it does irritate me personally when you get comments like this:

5, 7, 8

It kind of defeats the whole point in having a poll.

This is definitely one of the weaker runs of new who. It wasn't bad, by any means other than Night Terrors, which was an absolute mare, but it was not exceptional really.

@supermoff I really didn't like this one. From what I saw it was just a load of shouting at the sky, thinking they wanted to take the pandorica, when actually they were just waiting for him to shut up so they could stick him in it.

@Ivegotkidneys Or, what if, just what if, we had 5 2-part episodes, and a 4-part episode? I think I would squee with excitement! Regardless of whether or not I get permission

@Djornad It is highly unlikely they will be each an hour long. That was a rumour last year too, and it didn't happen.

There could be a series full of 2-part episodes though!

That said, apparently, according to what I've just read, they are an hour each.

@Mark McCullough Because the episode was about the Doctor trying to 'beat time', so to speak. He said that the laws of time are his, so he believes he can do what he wants.

Definitely wasn't expecting that number 1! Well done, very good article. The only thing I really disagree with is Clara and Danny. I didn't think that they were that good together and it was very underdeveloped.

I hadn't thought of the idea of her dying before, but that is perfectly possible. In Last Christmas, she was dreaming of getting to an old age, so maybe she knew that that won't happen.

Again another two parter which is simply a masterclass. Was absolutely brilliant. The other two episodes here weren't that great to be honest.

@Mikeyboss182 Aside from the sheer cringe-worthy nature of it, along with it demeaning itself further by even going to the extend of swapping their names in the titles, and adding Clara's face. It was terrible.

Problem with a movie is it would have to be something absolutely amazing (as in so good that there are no words), or it will be considered rubbish and a waste of time and money, which I fear would happen. This could damage the reputation.

@Amy Pond wants a Shona return Problem here is a lot of these characters made a great one-off appearance (such as Blue), and I fear would be ruined by bringing them back. Same goes for the Vashta Nerada. I'd love to see them in another story, but it was so good in Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead, that doing something better would be difficult and I would hate to see them become easily defeated with a dull story.

@Bushboy Exactly this. I was literally thinking this 10 minutes ago. Last Christmas is a perfect example of how bad it was. The sound not synchronising with the logo appearing bugs me so much.

@91 Queen of Evil The way I see it is that gender changes are maybe rare, but they can happen (say maybe an average of 1 in every 20 regenerations), as you said.

Maybe there was a specific way to do it, similar to the device used to alter the Doctor's (and the Master's) mind in series 3, but more physical during regeneration.

Who nose? Eh?

@Antee991166  Yeah I have to say, the spin-offs aren't that good compared the real thing. Doctor Who is Doctor Who (nothing else is, in my view), and SJA was a very cheesy unrealistic show (for children, which I accept is inevitable but nevertheless...), while Torchwood almost seemed to be competing with Doctor Who in the end, and again it was unrealistic how earth-based they all were, and simply didn't tie in with Doctor Who in any way.

@Aztecs, Daleks and Cavemen I agree, in that I think that a character who has a one-off story which works really well can easily be ruined by bringing them back.

Some people may say that about River Song, some would say it about Jenny, Vastra, and Strax, etc. etc. Although I have no problems with these particular examples, the list can go on.
