I'll certainly miss the flirting between Eleven and Clara. I can't wait to properly see what Capaldi's Doctor will be like!

@TakeTheType40 @ClaraOswald I agree! Jenna rekindled my love for Doctor Who and made me excited to watch again, especially after the disappointing series 6. Here's to 50 more years of Doctor Who and Jenna haha! :)

I had never heard of her until today. Listened to her music, she's alright, but nothing stands out. Interested to see what kind of role she'll play, or maybe she'll play herself?

Mark Sheppard is Crowley for me, haha, everytime I watch The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon I keep expecting Sam or Dean to show up and for him to taunt them.

I would love to see Sally Sparrow travel in the TARDIS. I also really like Lorna Bucket, the girl from the Gamma Forests who met the Doctor when she was little. But alas, she was killed.

@I Stole a Hatstand @ClaraOswaldThank you so much for explaining this in a way that I never could! This comment sums up all my feelings and what I think about the way the Doctor treated Clara throughout the episode. Again, thank you!

@FMOB11 I know the Doctor is ancient, I just wanted to see that baby-faced old man triumph over the enemy once more before he would be gone forever. I wanted to see MATT SMITH as the Doctor, not Matt Smith in a mask.

@Antee991166 @ClaraOswaldThe regeneration scene was unexpected (of course I knew it would be there, but not that it would be like that), but good. I liked that part. Interesting way to do it.

I enjoyed reading this article a lot.

I was so disappointed after watching The Time of the Doctor on Christmas Day. So disappointed that I cried myself to sleep. I felt like my Doctor had been a completely different person the whole episode, that his relationship with Clara was all but destroyed and that Matt Smith deserved better than to wear an "old man" mask for half of the episode. It didn't feel like Doctor Who to me, and that made me so sad. There wasn't really a proper story to the episode, it just served as a way to answer every single question left by previous episodes. I realise that emotions were already running high even before watching the episode, but to this day I still don't like Moffat's way of sending off Matt.

Now I will say, I haven't rewatched it yet. I just can't bring myself to do it. I bought the DVD as soon as it was released, but it has just been sitting on my shelf unopened. I'm scared to watch it again, but I know I should. Loads of people have told me that they were able to appreciate The Time of the Doctor more upon rewatching. So maybe I will. One day.

Brilliant! Love Supernatural, love Haven and love Continuum. Can't wait to see a female director working on Doctor Who again, it's been a while since the last one (googled it: Catherine Morshead, The Lodger)

I agree completely about Rose, but not the others. I really, really dislike Rose's character. She's immature, jealous, self-centred and sort of useless in many situations. That being said, I'm a huge fan of Billie Piper. She's an amazing actress.

My absolute favourite new Who companion is Clara. She won my heart within seconds of appearing and I loved the Impossible Girl story arc. Before Clara, my favourite was definitely Martha. Maybe because I feel like I can relate to her, everything from my studies to my family situation is similar. But I sincerely think she has a lot more dimensions than any other RTD companion. Yes, they wrote her in a way that encouraged people (especially Rose lovers) to dislike her, but by the end she finally got to prove what an amazing character she was. Brave, intelligent, strong and definitely not a damsel in distress.

To sum it up, from favourite to least favourite:

1. Clara

2. Martha

3. Donna

4. Amy

...

887,305. Rose

-93,298,249,084. River

Rose and RIver just don't appeal to me at all.

Brilliant article. Clara quickly became my favourite companion, taking the top spot away from Martha. I fell in love with Jenna and her personality as soon as she was announced in 2012 (I hadn't heard of her before because Norway is a bloody stupid country and has never let Jenna graze the Norwegian audience with her talent and beauty).

In my opinion, Doctor Who simply became better once she joined the cast. I wasn't expecting it - actually, I was afraid we would get a River clone after Amy and Rory - but THANK GOD we got this Clara instead. She's amazing.

I just have to vote for The Rings of Akhaten, because that episode is a masterpiece in my opinion. 42 (because it has Martha) and The Unicorn and the Wasp (because of the comedic value) are tied for second place on my list.

See, I feel like The Doctor's Wife is definitely going to win this, but I actually enjoyed The Girl in the Fireplace more. It was a beautiful episode. I love that Rose is "left behind" so that we can get to know the Tenth Doctor better. The music is wonderful and Sophia Myles' acting was brilliant.
