Some great aspects, but not the best. Still, it was more of a 50th Anniversary than The Day of the Doctor. Or as I like to call it "The Day of Steven Moffat: 8th Anniversary Special"
12 months ago on Best of Matt Smith: The Name of the Doctor
As an episode/series finale, great. 8/10. As a 50th Anniversary, this episode was an absolute disgrace. A complete slap in the face. This was the most over hyped piece of television in history and failed to deliver the expectations Moffat led us to believe. Moffat's idea of a 50th Anniversary is having Zygons (an enemy that only appeared once in the Classic Series, and were brilliant when they did) appear in a ridiculous sub plot in which they befriend the humans. Another great, scary enemy ruined by Moffat. A picture of Susan pinned on a wall is not a suitable tribute for her, i'm sorry but it isn't. And why choose Billie Piper to play the Moment? The Classic Doctor actors could've played the moment! Imagine it, *John Hurt turns around to see the Moment has taken the form of Colin Baker* "You!?" "You're expecting someone else?" This atrocity should be renamed "The Day of Steven Moffat: 8th Anniversary Special of New Who". A horrible tribute to 50 years. And no, the Classic Doctors were not in it. That final scene with them all saving Gallifrey with archived footage doesn't count.

@Liana21 I see what you mean but Pink is actually a surname :p
11 months, 3 weeks ago on Danny Pink – Master of Disguise?
I think he's working for the Master. He's a trap for the Doctor. Think about it, The Doctor could trust Danny, and end up giving him a TARDIS key, which Danny could then give to the Master, who would then steal the TARDIS.
@ClaraOswald The whispermen were so underused
@Master Michael Moon Well, some of the articles are saying Steve John Shepherd is a likely candidate
12 months ago on Major Series 8 Villain Revealed?
@epicduda It's time for an older Master, i feel.
Funny how Charles Dance has been cropping up on BBC shows since Christmas. First, he was narrating the Winter Olympics Trailer, and he was on Room101 on Friday night. I'm putting money on it being him. Or possibly even Steve John Shepherd as he was suggested too a while back, but everything points to Charles Dance.
Moffat is going to be fuming. Meanwhile, i'm dancing. No pun intended.
Where on Gallifrey is the Kandyman? or the Abzorballoff?

@The Mind Probe He is a companion - otherwise he wouldn't be officially announced. He'll probably join in Episode 4.

@ivegotkidneys @Amy the Consulting Commentator Kovarian mentioned an endless bitter war...But by the Time of the Doctor, the war was pretty much a playground scrap
1 year ago on Best of Matt Smith: Closing Time
@Jeremy Kyle Incredibly over rated. But of course, he's hot...and that's all that matters nowadays when it comes to Doctor Who. The casting of Peter Capaldi is a breath of fresh air
@supermoff @Jeremy Kyle I was banned because i posted the rumour about the 11th Doctor's leg being torn off in the Xmas Special, which never happened...It was a cut scene apparently. Come on, everyone's allowed to express their opinion. I didn't like Closing Time because of the blatant under use of the Cybermen, and the cop out resolution. I would've rated it higher if Craig died, as it would've shown that the Cybermen truly are ruthless beings not to be messed with...and not been saved by the power of the love of a baby.
@Mikeyboss182 Stormageddon one of the best characters in Series 6? Yeah, I actually agree, since he had no diaogue
If only the Silence actually worked. Series 6 is something I would love to forget.
A disgraceful episode, dumbing down the cybermen yet again, which were once a creepy villain especially in the tenth planet, and full off childish humour. I can see why it would appeal to children and people with a childish sense of humour though. 2/10. Worse than the leaf saving the day in the Akhaten episode.
@TheOncomingHurricane Why are you insulted?
1 year ago on Twelve is Equal to Six?
@OldMaidWhovian @Tennant_Capaldi I can think of only 2 reasons why i liked Peri
@supermoff @FMOB11 That's because the fangirls didn't have anyone to winge over
@FMOB11 Moffat can't help himself. The Series 9 finale will no doubt be titled "Stand Up Comedy of the Daleks" and will feature Dave the Depressed Dalek trying to get his comedy career of the ground. Meanwhile, a few Zygons are having a gay love affair in the TARDIS.
@SonicTheHedgehogRules We'll never see them on screen ever again. Moffat has made sure of that.
@Huknar @SonicTheHedgehogRules Moffat is an egotist, he loves his tumblrised version of Doctor Who, and only cares about the money, and not the classic fans at all. I have been a fan of DW for 14 years, and i'm sorry to say it, if Moffat screws up Capaldi's series, i will stop watching. The really sad part is, we'll never see the classic Doctors on screen again. That was literally the last opportunity. They won't be around forever.
@Huknar @TheBritishCupOfTea @epicduda Well we're yet to see a Doctor who shares a similar personality to Alan Carr...
@Tennant_Capaldi There was a 50th? All i saw on Nov 23rd was an 8th Anniversary
@Tennant_Capaldi Yeah well you did say you hated Colin Baker, so i assumed you meant him. Yeah, his run was not the best. Blame JNT for that. I liked the obnoxious egotist side to the Doctor, though. It was interesting
The show needs to go back to how it was with Eccleston. Dark and gritty. No more fezes, no more cliches...oh, and no more leaves saving the day thank you very much. I know i have an extremely unpopular opinion here, but after the abysmal so called 50th Anniversary, i lost all faith in Moffat.
@Tennant_Capaldi You don't even know the guy. Don't you mean you don't like his Doctor?
@epicduda I'd personally prefer him to be completely unique
@Antee991166 @TheBritishCupOfTea He would've shaken the 11th Doctor's hand and said "well done, my chap. Well done" before fading away.
1 year ago on Gillan on saying Goodnight to her Raggedy Man
I felt her appearance was slightly unnecessary. It should've been David Bradley as the first Doctor, nicely rounding off the first regeneration cycle.
He doesn't care about costumes? Tell that to Matt Smith. To be fair, I don't understand all the criticism he gets over female characters

@ClaraOswald I see what you mean. However they are contractionally obliged to appear ateast once every series, otherwise the BBC lose the rights to them
1 year ago on Daleks Series 8 Rumours
@Kiki Kiki It won't be the finale. From what spoilers/rumours i am hearing there will be another threat in the finale, but i wont say as i dont want a ban.
I'm fine with them coming back, as long as they are menacing and actually kill people this time. Moffat tends to make the daleks extremely under-powerful. that "mercy!" line really made me cringe
@Lewis94. No they just film out of order, so Jenna Coleman and Peter Capaldi could be filming in studio for other episodes and the crew could be filming these scenes where Coleman and Capaldi are not required
1 year ago on Series 8: A Returning Character & Monster
@ilyootha They don't film in order. Capaldi and Jenna could be filming parts of other episodes in studio whilst they are filming outdoor shots for Ep1 that don't require them
@tbuxton42 I'd rather have 6 Waters of Mars type episodes than 13 Nightmare in Silver (Joke in Tinfoil) ones.
