Does anyone else find it shocking the War Games is at #12? I love it to bits and pieces, but I don't know if I'd call it Pat's best. Also, great article. It was really fascinating to see how the results and the fan base would change over time.

The anxiety of waiting for Season 8 is making my hair regenerate from brown to white.

Resurrection is the story with the most onscreen deaths, and really shows how ruthless the Daleks ca be. Definitely in my top 15 favorite stories.
4 months, 3 weeks ago on Unpopular Opinion: Asylum of the Daleks
1. The Eleventh Hour
2. The Fires of Pompeii
3. School Reunion
4. The Girl in the Fireplace
5. The Poison Sky
6. Dalek (First episode)
7. Amy's Choice
8. Father's Day (Second episode)
9. The Empty Child (Third episode)
10. The Doctor Dances (Fourth episode)
Of course I had to place my first four episodes on this list, nostalgia does things like that. I feel like I've committed a crime not placing human nature, midnight, and silence in the library on the list though.

Ah the nostalgia. Sly 2 Band of Thieves was my first video game, so I have fond memories of Clockwork, and the equally impressive Clock-la.

@supermoff What! Although I agree many of their stories are lacksluster, "The Tenth Planet" and "Tomb of the Cybemen" are some of the most overrated episodes ever. What about "The Invasion", "Revenge of the Cybermen", "Earthshock", and "Attack of the Cybermen"? Those were all fantastic episodes IMO.

I can't help it: I've called it "The Poster of the Daleks".

I have a feeling that most people don't like the ending. It's just a hunch.

The debate on whether it should be an original game or a game consisting of past episodes is difficult. While I'd prefer the former, it can be any one of the two really. Many of their games are original, but use the liscence anyways like Batman and Marvel while others are the same stories only with LEGOS, with a bit more humor. As Doctor Who has lasted for 50 years, there are not only hundreds of episodes to choose from, but also a chance to create an original multi-doctor story to add to canon. Well, at least I'll consider it canon.

It was definitely harder for me to choose from the new series episodes. I would've replaced Dalek with Rose, but that'd be my third dalek story on the list. Same applies with Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways. Aliens of London wouldn't be bad either, barring the farting. And Planet of the Ood could be done brilliantly as well.
But as I mentioned, too many good episodes to choose from! The Deadly Assasin just popped in my mind in LEGO form, and that's another to add to the list. The possibilities with LEGO are endless.
1. Unearthly Child and Dalek Invasion of Earth
2. Ice Warriors and Mind Robber (War Games would also be outstanding)
3. Inferno and Time Warrior
4. Pyramids of Mars and Seeds of Doom
5. Earthshock and Caves of Androzani
6. Vengeance on Varos and Trial of a Timelord
7. Remembrance of the Daleks and Curse of Fenric.
8. TV Movie and Time War
9. Rose and Empty Child/Doctor Dances
10. Girl in the Fireplace and Waters of Mars
11. Eleventh Hour and Doctor's Wife.
Bah! Two episodes per Doctor isn't enough! I want to see the Silence in the OK Corall, or play through my favorite episode, The Invasion, I want to go against the Boss, the Jagaroth, and the Black Guardian! I want to choke Peri...... I mean, see the Rani. I want to battle a LEGO KANDYMAN!
They could possibly release it on PC
While I'm all up for an original story, seeing scenes in LEGO form like the farewell to Susan, regenerations, the walk of the Cybermen near St Paul's, etc. would be fantastic!
I can't put my finger on it, but why does this episode get loads of praise?
It's an "ok" episode at best, but seems to have a lot of fans.
Yet somehow, the Gunfighters gets hate by the bucketload, and I LOVE that story.
Oh well, different people have different strokes.

Well the "Reign of Terror" came directly before Napoleon came into power so for some that'd be a bit redundant.

Even then! If you mash their names together you get "Madam", a shortened version of "Madame". This clearly means that....Adam.... and Mickey...... are...... *Checks temperature to see if still sane.
There definitely needs to be a companion not from 21st century earth. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last alien companion was Turloguh all the way back in the Davison era. So..... It's been about 30 years since there has been an alien companion on screen.
It fairly simple who he really is: the Kandyman.
Some rearrangement spells: KANDY
Also, you've got to wonder why his last name is "pink"...
Kind of reminds of "The Happiness Patrol" where everything was coated in pink.
It's simple really: the Kandyman seeks revenge on the Doctor after missing the opportunity to drown the 11th with gummy fish fingers and creamy custard and figures out that he could find all his weaknesses by getting near to him.... Like a companion....
Oh Moffat! Trying to be so clever, but we find out your true intentions: Bringing back the Kandyman due to popular demand.
Last year may have been great, but I sense this year being a bit "sweet".
Aren't you a fan....
A story that got everything wrong in my book. There was a better plank scene in the Pirate Planet, which became my favorite cliffhanger, and the Smugglers was an already comedic pirate tale that didn't need an indirect prequel (Captain Avery's gold was the main plot point of the Smugglers). If given the choice, watch the Pirate Planet or the Smugglers instead of this shipwreck.

Seeing the Web of Fear on the big screen would make an already eerie tale even more scary.
It'd also seem epic to see the Enemy of the World on that large scale in an already visually stunning story.
I envy the British right now.

@Sam Davern Maybe we can have the long awaited appearance of Frobisher in TV. I'd pay money to see that.

"Dalek" is one of my favorite episodes of all of Who (and I can now say that since I finished watching every episode 2 days ago), and it was in fact my first one. The episode alone got me hooked on what I thought was going to be a stupid show. Oh boy.... I do hate my younger 2011 self don't I?
10/10 for entertaining the hell out of me and for getting me as obsessed with the show as I am today.
9/10. Not perfect, but still an enjoyable watch. The chemistry between the Dream Lord and the Doctor was the definitive highlight.

Oh no! Now all the Moffat-Bashers are going to add that to their lists of plot holes.

It's my second least favorite Matt Smith episode. Why couldn't they be normal vampires? They were used outstandingly in "State of Decay" and the war between the Vampires and Time Lords could've been explored even more to a bigger audience. A disappointment and a waste of an opportunity.
