Really tough choice. Mummy was more of a brilliant! classic Doctor adventure, whilst Flatline felt fresh, new and exciting. I gave them both 10/10 for differnt reasons. Hmmmmm I'm going with fresh, new and exciting so....... Flatline.

I can see this one ending up around 50/50, like the Blink/Listen poll.

@Beasts_a_Snarling is a Tigger... Or Rather Tiger.. Sorry I meant visually not in tone. But even so the tone has been Darker but then I thought 7b was darker anyway.

@Alleigh Yes I think that they are on the same level of greatness, but remember that we vote weekly and individually, so in order for them to be graded it would mean that I would have to with hold points just in case the next one is better. Its more that I gave them a 10 at the time, not that I marked them together. Hence why they are listed 1 to 9 so just because I voted 10 for flatline, mummy and listen, I still have an order of preference.

@Polyphase @The Living Angel is Regenerating That would be understandable if we were voting in one go and asked to list in order of preference but that is not the case, we are asked to vote one by one as they air. I just find it a bit unbelievable that a fan would watch and then say, no that was awful, everything about it was bad, therefore a 1. But I find it very believable that people would often say, that was brilliant! 10!

I have to say that I too was very disappointed in Journey, but that was mainly due to being promised so much and having such little delivered. :-)

I almost feel offended when I see people actually give episodes a 1, because if you really love the show, I can't quite believe that an episode would ever rate that low, even if its a bad episode, it still has The Doctor which must earn at least 3 points alone lol But that's just my opinion :-)

1. Flatline 10/10

2. Listen 10/10

3. Mummy on the Orient Express 10/10

4. Deep Breath 9/10

5. Kill The Moon 9/10

6. Time Hiest 9/10

7. Into the Dalek 8/10

8. The Caretaker 8/10

9. Robots of Sherwood 8/10

Amazing! series.

This looks like a beautiful episode, cinematography wise. I personally love to see those episodes to break up the Darker tones, throughout the series. I hope we got to see some overgrown city's skyscrapers.

@Mary Sue's Vertue @The Living Angel / is Regenerating I am being missunderstood, I didn't say that people who are concerned for the shows future are trolls or Moffat haters, I was saying that trolls and Moffat haters thrive of this kind of thing, which is annoying. If people are concerned then that's ok, I don't have an issue with that, I am just not one of those people. If by the end of S9 the figures continue to decline, then I might start to worry, I am not going to panic myself prematurely. I have been a life long fan and I have seen the show go through so many highs and lows, for me this is the best it has ever been, but if others don't think so then that is fine, I hated series 3 and all of Sylvester McCoys Doctor, but I know that it is only a matter of time before things change and we have a completely new take on things. I embrace that and I think that is essential to being a whovian, embrace the change, don't worry if the figures dip from time to to time, particularly when the final figure will be a hell of a lot better. Also don't worry about the license fee making any difference, it won't be long before the TV license is a thing of the past, there is already talk of that, will The BBC stop making all programs and go off air? no they will just start advertising. I truly believe that Doctor Who will go on long after the TV licence is a thing of the past.

All I am saying is try not to worry, it would be a tradgedy if it were to be canceled, but there are no signs of that happening, in fact quite the opposite, for the first and second time ever! Doctor Who has appeared in cinemas..twice! Within a year of eachother., both times well received and the viewing figures for those episodes were very high. The other great and important thing to remember is, if there were signs that the BBC thought that it was struggling after another series, before canceling it they would either replace Moffat or Capaldi or even both, and then bring in either a new idea or bring back a younger Doctor. None of those things are happening or even being talked about, so don't worry......yet :-)

OK so after two viewings lastnight, and two viewings today, I am going there....its in my top five episodes ever!  I love everything about it, lastnight, it was brilliant! But, I was a bit hasty by saying that the sonic/Tardis resolution was a cop out, now after 4 viewings i would have it no   other way :-)

Missy is so captivating to me, she is already one of my favorite characters and I can't wait to find out more about her.

I know that some people are sick of the whole Clara Who thing, but personally, I think that it is genius! I can't think of a single other character, in any other show, Doctor Who included where we have had to ask who they are, what they are, not once but twice! Just when we thought we had solved the Clara mystery, it resurfaces Brilliant!

Series8 for me, is looking likely to be my favorite series overall. I much prefer Doctor Who when it feels as though they are on one continuous journey, stumbling from situation to situation. Which is weird because that is the oposite of what is happening, but that is the feeling that it is giving me.

@tom colman  Well thanks Tom, see people can have a differing opinion without all the unnecessary rudness, so thank you :)

Personally I don't think that there is any need to hate the man, he is just doing his job and one that he loves and believes in, ok maybe sometimes he doesn't always get it right, but I didn't particularly enjoy RTD but I would never go as far as to say I hated him. All I am saying is that we should wait until all the figures are counted before we make such bold sweeping statements like, its over, Doctor who is going to be cancelled.

If other people want to worry then that is fine and completely upto them, but for me, I am not at panic stations just yet :)

@Ottoman14 @The Living Angel / is Regenerating  Well that is were you have misunderstood, at no point did I say that people that worry about it are trolls and annoyances. I said that the trolls and annoyances jump on this kind of thing.

Also I love how "people like you" have to retype what the other person said as if to add weight to your argument, you don't need to rewrite what I have said for me to be able to understand, or then again I am an "idiot" so probably best that you continue.

Basically you could have made your point without the rudeness, your rudeness damages any point that you have to make after that.

I wish that the figures were not posted, it just encourages trolls and Moffat haters to jump up and scream told you so, told you so, like the annoyances that they are. I am not at all worried about over night figures, in my opinion they are kind of irrelevant. I mean what is the point in counting only some of the total of something?

Also lets not forget that last week there was a surprise rise in viewers, my guess is because there was a cool looking mummy in the trailer.

@supermoff agent of C.L.A.R.A. I just thought that the way in which Clara tricked them into recharging The Tardis would have been a better way to deafeat them, to me that is more ingenious then waving the sonic about. I dont know, I never really had a problem with the sonic, and in TDOTD I think its use was brilliant!

I just had the idea that 12 was going to be more hands on, making things from string and paper clips (not literally)  so when he used the sonic, I can't deny that I was a tiny bit oh!, having said that,  this is one of my favorite episode's of the series, possibly will make it into my top ten, so it didnt bother me enough to spoil an otherwise brilliant episode. Its a teeny tiny niggle, my only one this whole series.

I think I would be happier if 12 gets his own sonic.

@tomblack93 If I had one criticism, and I haven't felt this until now,but I did feel like the sonic ending was a bit of a cop out, it would have been better if the way Clara tricked them, had also defeated them. @ Notsosmartguy Agent of C.L.A.R.A. I always had the idea that Timelords store faces of people that they have met along the way, maybe people that had an impact on them. I always thought that Timelords can learn to control this ability and chose the face that they want, but this was a skill The Doctor had never mastered. So my point being, I see no reason why a future Doctor couldn't be a past companion :-)

@Clara Laurinda @ahunter8056 Personally I think he felt guilty when the saw her enjoying it as he once did. As Davros once said, he takes seemingly ordinary people and fashions them into weapons. So in that moment, I think that he was coming to a similar revelation. Also I think having Clara play the part of The Doctor not only made her understand him a bit more, but also it was like holding a mirror up to The Doctor and he was seeing glimpses of himself.

@ahunter8056 I think it was because he knew that she had done good, but feared that this meant that she would one day harden to it, as he has. Remember this is all new and exciting to Clara, the adrenaline from saving peoples lives excites her, whereas he has saved millions of lives over millennia, and I think 12 is essentially still a good man he's just not as excited about saving individual small people. Basically I think that he was scared at the thought that he is turning her into him. :-)

I have a question, did anyone else think that, in Mummy on the Orient Express, when Clara was making her way to The Doctor, and she walked past The Tardis, that supposedly had a force field around it, that it was indeed a force field, but it was one that The Tardis had put up to stop Clara from entering?

I have loved Clara from day one, for me, she is the best companion. There is something special about the way Jenna acts, especially in those tender moments. When Clara takes control and saves the day, there is something magical and nurturing about her, for example, the scene when she comforted a young Doctor or, When she told the Time Lords that they should! love The Doctor, and how she was with a young Danny.

Actually now that i think about it, why doesn't Danny remember Clara? Did I miss something? does The Doctor remember that dream that he had, or when the creepy lady crawled from under his bed and stroked his hair? I mean, I know that they were both young, but, they weren't babies. I feel like I have missed something, has it been aluded to that Danny does remember her or not?
