@The Lazy Cat has Antlers! @91 Queen of Evil I hope so, she deserves a happy ending or at least spectacular death. I think that The Doctor would want for her to be happy, or immortalized in a blaze of glory, and I don't believe that he would stop until he achieved that for her.

@IrishPenmanship @91 Queen of Evil Don't get me wrong, I have slight niggles along the way, but they are such small things that they dissapear into the brilliance of the rest of the show. But I have never been outraged. I tend to just go along with the story being told, rather than analyzing and disecting every detail.

I can't wait , it sounds brilliant!
My only reservation is, that I have never had a big issue with anything in Doctor Who. I don't ever really see the major problems that others have, with scripts, arcs or characters. However, if Clara does not get a fulfilling and fitting end, I will have a huge issue. I just feel that if anyone deserves a good send off, (even if it does means dying) then Clara is that person. I know, I know, life isn't fair, and doesn't always work out how it should, but this is not real life, and I am a fairytale kind of guy, especially at Christmas.
The way I see Clara is, The Doctor is the universe's hero, and Clara is The Doctors hero. So I want for the heroes to succeed or triumph, even if they die doing it. Save the horrible traumatic exits for someone less important to The Doctor....please!

@AlessandroArsuffi @NumberNine @The TARDIS I.B.O.T.I Maybe that is why The Doctor seems to have beef with Santa. Maybe Santa abandoned the Time War, or maybe he was able to resist the Time Lords call somehow. Perhaps The Doctor sees him as a traitor.

Whilst its not my favorite episode, it really wasn't that bad. What kind of ruined it for me was, as I was watching it, I could almost hear the criticisms. I could tell that it was going to be a marmite episode. The only thing that really bugged me, was the lack of any other people in London, except for a couple of guys trying to burn the trees, and Maebhs mom. Which was just way too coincidental for my liking.
I am quite good at suspending my belief, and enjoy doing so. So, the science aspects didn't particularly bother me. I thought Maebh was adorable, and that mouthy child was funny too. All in all I would say it was a decent episode. I have said it before, but I think that this episode would have worked better on an alien world.

One thing that I don't want is any mystery surrounding the next companion. As much as I have enjoyed the mysteries surrounding Clara. I am exhausted. I just want to see a companion that The Doctor can bounce off. I would really like s9 to feel like one continuous journey. I say bring back the randomizer to the Tardis.
3 days, 21 hours ago on 4 Different Types of Companions Doctor Who Should Consider
@LGwalchmai95 @Notsosmartguy @supermoff I kind of liked the flirting between Clara and 11, because it was interesting to see 11 squirm. I don't think that the flirting would work with 12 though.
3 days, 22 hours ago on 4 Different Types of Companions Doctor Who Should Consider
@Notsosmartguy Me too, an orphan would be interesting. Someone that he cant just drop off.
@supermoff @Notsosmartguy Poor little guy deserved longer.
@Polyphase I would love for another Donna type of relationship. Just mates bouncing around the universe, having a laugh.
I really want an alien companion next. Maybe some sort of changeling would be cool, so that he or she can blend in when on earth. I would also like to see a modern robotic companion. My ideal scenario for s9 would be Clara, an alien that is orphaned or lost their home world somehow, and Handles as a sort of modern K9.
I want more River, but if I never see Jack again it will be too soon.

@Notsosmartguy @91 Queen of Evil it will be all.....see! she's a brat even Moffat said so.....
@Notsosmartguy And they will....
@DDBlue I feel like Amy was far more controlling and demanding than Clara. I would even go as far as to say Amy felt a little bratty towards the end of her time.
@Huknar @ThePowerOfClara Approves Of Captain Marvel Movie It would seem like a wasted opportunity, after all wasn't it Moffat that convinced RTD not to kill her?
@Huknar @Notsosmartguy i agree with you somewhat. Because the way he describes her here, almost makes her sound very unlikeable and demanding. Whilst she is demanding and a control freak, I don't really see her that way.
@DoctorWhoIsMyLife I would love for her to go as long as Sarah Jane, Its just a shame that nowadays we only have a companion around for a relatively short time, before people start wanting them to be replaced.

@Notsosmartguy @91 Queen of Evil Strax wouldn't understand what was going on, bless him.
@Notsosmartguy She's definitely a bit fruity ........kinky lizard. I still find myself in shock every time I watch a good man goes to war, when Vastra flicks her tongue out, and then gives Jenny that little look :o
@Notsosmartguy I can see Vastra making Jenny and Clara train together, so she can sit back and watch........dirty Vastra lol
@Notsosmartguy I like that idea, and it would make for an interesting love triangle between Vastra, Jenny and Clara.
@ThePowerOfClara Approves Of Captain Marvel Movie I would love for either Jenny or Susan to return. I really want to see The Doctors nurturing side.
This is exactly why I love Clara. She has always felt like a challenge for The Doctor, both intentionally and unintentionally. The Doctor needs to be kept on his toes. This is why Missy chose her, because she knew that Clara could make The Doctor do something that he normally wouldn't.

@Switcharoo lol. But a female DWTV would ruin it. hahaha

Very nice DWTV. now if we could only edit comments :)
@SirStephenH True, but even they maintain some of the Darker themes. Bambi-mother shot. Snow White-wicked step mother that actively wants her dead. Cinderella- kept as a slave. Beauty and the Beast-Belle is held captive by a snarling beast, that she falls in love with. In fact every single Disney film has a darkness to it, it is just covered with pretty colors and happy music.
6 days, 3 hours ago on Moffat on Criticisms that Doctor Who Is Too Dark
@joe4 @TheCyberDoctor is Upgrading Christmas That is absolutely not true. The Doctor actively fights against the parts of his characteristics that are considered typically male. By nature men are more aggressive, and women are naturally more nurturing. The Doctors fundemantal core is that of someone nurturing and loving rather than aggressive. He is beyond all those stereotypes. Being physically male does not define him.
6 days, 4 hours ago on Poll: A Female Doctor
For people that are worried or are against the ideal, something that I think we should remember is, if and when it does happen. If it doesn't work, and the viewing figures do start to drop (which I doubt) they can always have her regenerate back into a male. So will it kill the show? No! Will lot work? That remains to be seen. We will never know until it happens.
For me , there are two major factors. 1, Is the actress the best actress for the role? 2, Is the story believable?
Personally I think that Michelle Gomez would have made an excellent Doctor. Although females vilans are so much cooler.
@Regenerated Catterson celebrates Super Christmas @91 Queen of Evil I largely don't count Audio, especially given the fact that you can see his ethnicity through audios.
6 days, 5 hours ago on Poll: A Female Doctor
@Regenerated Catterson celebrates Super Christmas Now please hear me out before I got shot down as a racist. I would be perfectly happy with a black Doctor, or any other ethnicity for that matter. However with the exception of Mel's who was half human anyway. We have never seen a black Time Lord, so who is to say that is because there aren't any, maybe everyone in Gallifrey is white. Just a thought.
@The Lazy Cat is Santa Paws @supermoff wants Clara in Series 9 for Christmas! John Purrrrrtwee?
@Regenerated Catterson celebrates Super Christmas @Mark McCullough I wouldn't. Because it was the potion that would have changed him, it wouldn't have been something that would have naturally happened.
I am male, I was strongly against, but now I am for it, IF! handled correctly. It would have to be a convincing story line. If it were just that he randomly changed gender for no real reason, because gender is apparently fluid, then I would be against ,but! I would accept it.
I wish this poll didn't have so be so black and white.
Trial of a Time Lord is criminally underrated. I would love it, when Gallifrey is finally found, The Time Lords although greatful to The Doctor for finding and saving them, they also put him on trial again for locking them off in the first place, or something. I would like it that happened at the end of Capaldi's time, and they decide that because he saved them, he gets to live, but for locking them off the punishment is forced regeneration.

@Malohkeh @Alleigh member of P.O.N.D.S Snow White is really gross, in the original story, The Evil Queen fed her fathers heart to her in a bowl of stew. And well you know the rest.....

@The Taker Presents! I forgot presents!
@The Taker Snap! I am a bit of a Christmas humbug to be honest. The only things I look forward to are Christmas Dinner and Doctor Who :)
@The Dreamer wants her Who Christmas NOW! @91 Queen of Evil @Gustaff @Antee991166 On that subject, I really do hope that s9 has more alien world episodes. Personally I don't like too many Earth bound stories. My one and only gripe with DW is that there are too many Earth stories.
@Tardis Boy I watched Arachnophobia when I was about 15, im 30 now and I have never watched it since. to this day I still check the toilet for spiders before I use it....... even thinking about it gives me the willies!
Children are bought up on stories that have dark tones running though them, even fairytales have dark themes.
Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Hansel and Gretel, The Little Mermaid etc
Personally, I feel that most stories need darker themes running through them, to give the hero or protagonist something to fight against or for.
