Is it just me that gets emotional at The Long Song speech? Im not quite sure why, but the whole mood of it just gets me every time. For me it is the greatest in a huge list of great speeches given by The Doctor, ever!

@supermoff @The Living Angel @TardisBoy The only slight niggle that I have about this is, if The Doctor knew that he was on his last regeneration, then why wouldn't he have tried to keep his promise that he would one day return.

@supermoff @TardisBoy Me too, my dream would be for Susan to return, regenerate into a younger actress so that we can have a grandfather, granddaughter relationship again. I long to hear her call him Grandfather again.
@TardisBoy I smell a rat, something doesn't quite add up about this whole story.

I feel as though New Who already get through companions and Doctors way to quickly. We need a longer time with them so that we become more attached to them, this way it really stings when the eventually leave. I was really hoping that Clara would be around for at least another series, maybe two.
Noooooooo! how exactly is she one of the longest running companions? so far she has only done half a series excluding Asylum. hmmmmm
Gosh ! Well I've just read some of the comments, what is the matter with people? A fan!, just like you and me has had their work recognized by the show that we all love, and yet some people feel the need to be negative and critical. I understand that we are all entitled to out opinions but honestly!, we should be happy for Billy. Personally I kind of feel proud for him.

Well done Billy :-) Surely something like this is every whovians dream, to have something recodnised by the show itself. Wow!
@RoastNewt @The Living Angel I agree 100% it would have been perfect to have somebody that was in the first ever episode, and I am certain that CarolAnne Ford would have done it. I really hope that Moffat does it before its too late, like with Kate O'Mara :'(

@RoastNewt @The Living Angel My dream! Would be for Susan to return, as Carole AnneFord and then regenerate into a younger actress, so that we could have a grandfather, granddaughter relationship again. I long to hear her call him grandfather again
@RoastNewt @The Living Angel I absolutely love Hartnel, I have been wanting a Doctor like him for years.
@ Notsosmartguy the dalek of Jersey @The Living Angel Matt will forever be my favorite Doctor, I just thought he had a special magic, but I embrace the change and from what I have seen so far, I think Capaldi will be very high on my list. I think its good to have a stark contrast because it gives you a chance to grieve for Matt and then find yourself growing to love this strange new guy, that by the end of the first episode, it just hits you, that this is still him, still The Doctor.
Personally, I love it when The Doctor is distinctly different to his predecessor. Colin has always been my 3rd favorite classic Doctor, after Tom and just behind Hartnel. I loved that he was so different to 5. I always thought that 6 was similar in character to The First Doctor, so I feel like Capaldi will be more like the First Doctor, slightly grumpy and short tempered but loveable and endearing.
@microbat98 I truly hope so.
1 week ago on Capaldi’s Hint On Past Whoniverse Appearances
I just want it to be as simple as, Timelords subconsciously store faces. That is what I have always assumed, and it is a very simple way to explain noyt only Capaldi but also Six and Romana. I really don't like the idea of Caecilius not being who he said he was. I really hope that its not explained that Caecilius was really 12.
I hope that we don't get a full on 10yr special, but a few nods would be nice.
1 week, 3 days ago on No 10th Anniversary Special For New Who?
I was never really keen on The Master, in particular Simm's Master, and i am glad that we wont be seeing him any time soon. However given enough time, maybe ten years, i will want to see him back, and without doubt! he will be back at some point. Don't forget that we have never seen all of The Masters incarnations, so maybe we could one day see a past incarnation.
1 week, 4 days ago on Moffat on Why the Master Won’t Be Back
I have always explained it to myself like this, Timelords wear bodys like clothes, and thier true apparence is a sort of featurless, glowing silhouette, that subconsciously stores faces of people that they have met/seen. What made me think of this was when Romana regenerated into Romana 2, she obviously had control over the face that she chose, and the face she wanted to use was that of Princess Astra, a character that we had just seen on screen. We know from when The Doctor first met Romana, she said that The Doctor only just scraped through the Timelord academy with 51%, which The Doctor was obviously embarrassed by. So! I took from this that The Doctor obviously did not do so well at the academy, therefore maybe he failed the class that taught Timelords how to hone the skill of choosing a face upon regeneration. For me this is further added to when The Second Doctor is forced to regenerate by the Timelords, they offer him the choice of face. So basically I think that all Timelords subconsciously store faces and are able to learn how to choose, only The Doctor never learnt this skill OR! Maybe he just prefers the randomizer method. Well that's my crazy little theory :-)

Of all the actors in the world, I would love! for Brian to play the Doctor, or at very least make another appearence. Please let's not start the old female Doctor debate again, my brain can't take it.

I don't understand why anybody would be against it. If you dont want to watch it in the cineman then dont. Personally I wish that every episode was screened in cinema, I would pay to watch all of them and if by chance I can't make every episode then I would watch it at home. To say that it would somehow diminsh the importance of the 50th also makes no sense to me, in fact I see it as quite the opposite. It is because of the success of the 50th.

@ Notsosmartguy is superior again!!!!!!!!! @microbat98 I thought 7b was some of the best episodes we have ever had. It just shows that Doctor Who has something for everyone.
It all seems to me to be similar in tone to The Crimson Horror,Hide etc
I personally loved s7 particularly s7b. I really felt that there was already a change of tone between 7a and 7b. From what I have seen (and I am one of those naughty people that can not not resist a spoiler) in my opinion with the exception of Capaldi, it all feels like a very similar tone to 7b. So all in all, in reflexion, i would say that s7b is the perfect bridge between s7 and s8.
I don't think that they should be completely redesigned as the overall design of the Dalek is too iconic. What I do think would be interesting, would be if the outer shell was transparent so that we could see the creature inside. Another idea I think could work is to bring back Davros and have him create a new race to rival The Daleks.

@The8thDoctor @The Living Angel Sorry, I just dont like him. I did acknowledge that I know that I am in the minority. So pipe down grumpy knickers.
1 month ago on Barrowman on Jack’s Future, Capaldi Critics
I know I am in the minority but I really hopethat Jack never returns, I could never warm to him, probably because I could never warm to John Barrowman.
Just a thought but when The Doctor says "I have made many mistakes, its about time I did something about that" that coupled with location filming and returning characters and monsters and familiar places, might The Doctor actually be revisiting past adventures to try to put right the mistakes he has made? Why not? It would seem a logical thing to happen at some point.

I love! a new look Tardis even if it is just tweaks
I love how this looks, the special effects, the monsters, the darker tone but most of all The Tardis looks amazing!!!
@NewWho2012 @RhonDOH is getting Six Seasons and a Movie!! I'm British and my Nan is Irish and I still don't find it funny. Lmao did you really put The Chuckle Brothers up there with great British sitcoms? Lol
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Does Time Travel Work on the Big Screen?
@RhonDOH is getting Six Seasons and a Movie!!
"He's not The Doctor, he's a very naught boy!"
Thinking about it, a lot of people say that it wouldn't work because not enough people would go and see it, but I have to say that I live in Birmingham so England's 2nd biggest city, and I went to see Day if the Doctor in our biggest screen, and it was so busy that they opened up a second screen, and showed it for the rest of the week, because of the demand. It was shown at four separate cinemas and all were busy. So my guess is that it could and would work.
@The Last Son of Gallifrey I hadn't thought of that, but yes maybe they could sort of reboot it and have one story from each Doctor, obviously recasting Doctors 1-7, and then 8-13 (including War) could be played McGann,Hurt,Ecclestone,Tennant,Smith and Capaldi.
It could pick up on any major plot points over the years, but also add a layer that links a hidden story between each film.
@RhonDOH is getting Six Seasons and a Movie!! Well Mrs Brown is Irish but close enough lol. I love drag queens (RPDR) and men cross dressing as older ladies can be hilarious, Mrs Doubtfire,Dame Edna etc but it just seems so old fashioned to me, it almost feel a like its a sitcom from the 90s
Time travel has always fascinated me, but I never really give too much thought to the mechanics of time travel in film or television. I ignore any plot holes I may see, because I console myself with the fact that know one knows how time travel, paradox's and general timely whimeyness would work in reality, for know time travel is just a story, so I just accept the story as it is told.
@RhonDOH is getting Six Seasons and a Movie!! I agree 100% I do not see the humour in Mrs Brown at all. For me had it have been a real old lady then it might! have been funny. I just think its a very old joke that's been done a thousand times before.
I think this combines with the Davros returning. How amazing would it be to see Davros rising to take control of the Daleks once again, through Dalek eyes. Done right this could be amazing!
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Dalek Story Details for Series 8?
After replaying like 50 times, It sounds to me like, it starts off as Davros and then turns into a Dalek. I really want Davros to come back, even more than The Master. I just find him so creepy and sinister and I think he would be brilliant opposite Capaldi.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Series 8: New Teaser Trailer “I see into your soul, Doctor”
@stargazer0118 Davros, I've never really understood the fascination with The Master.
For me I have never been keep on this new idea that everything needs to be humaniseds in order to make it more "realistic" and "identifiable". It happens a lot lately, with Super heroes movies taking a more "realistic, darker and relatable" approach. Call me old fashioned, but I like my Superhero's to be Super and my Aliens to be Alieny.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on The Doctor: Half-Human on his Mother’s Side?
@StephenAHayes But it's not a human with a Time Lord brain, if they were born that way. Donna could not handle aTime Lords brain because she was not born with it, whereas River was born half human half Time Lord and she was fine.
@doctorwhomultiverse I asume that you can be born half human half Time lord because the DNA has time to grow and bond, but you can't fuse the DNA of a Time Lord a living breathing human. That's why Donnas brain could not sustain the Time Lord DNA unlike River who was born half human half Time Lord.
Ok , so after much thought, at first I was kind of against the idea, however I think it really depends how it was handled. When I hear something that I'm not sure about, rather than dismiss it I try to look at it from the point of view, how would I accept this. So here is a simple idea that I personally would be happy with. The Doctors father was just like The Doctor, and just like The Doctor he found earth and fell in love with an human girl, however! at the time it was forbidden by Time Lord law for Time Lords to have interspecies relationships or children. This could then be part of the reason The Doctor fled Gallifrey in the first place, because the high council found out that The Doctor and Susan were part human and therefore illegal.
My guess is that the gravestones are being shot in the same graveyard, but in the story they will be in their rightful place, or that the Gatekeeper has done something and it is not a real place but more of a hypothetical graveyard, a collection of gravestones that relate to The Doctor, or! The Doctor in his post regenerative state, ends up in a graveyard, but everywhere he looks he sees the Gravestones of all the people that he has loved and lost, or some combination of the three, OR! None of the above and we get so e crazy Moffat madness.
