Bio not provided
Actually, nothing says he has to be the incarnation that runs. There could easily be another regeneration or two in there, and BF is unlikely to mess with that and potentially step on Narrative toes. But he's definitely resurrected with the intention of dealing with the Time War and the like.

Night of the Doctor is an actual episode. It's part 2 of the Doctor Quartet. I will hear nothing else on the subject.

Well, osgood could take part even if it is set later. Death doesn't have to be permanent...and this is a time travel series.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Kate Stewart Returns in UNIT Extinction
The first fifty are 2.99 on download, which is fairly affordable. If you want your stories on CD, it'll be more expensive, though.
They don't officially have the license yet (it's a special agreement), but this seems to be a sign it is coming.
Well, there is no "official canon," but I think the fact that Moffat chose to explicitly reference Eight's audio adventures-and the "Molly" ones feature MacQueen- is a pretty good sign of support for their work. As is, you know, letting them do a new-series UNIT spinoff with Kate Stewart. And, of course, not only continuing to license them, but expanding the license.
And since MacQueen explains the Master's resurrection and ability to participate in the Time War-and it's heavily implied to be his incarnation who actually fought in the War- he's kind of crucial to the story.
If there were actually a "canon," he's totally canon. After all, he's in as many stories as Eccleston. And nobody argues that Eccleston is non-canon. (Well, they did, but nobody people take seriously does.)
Personally, I'd have used Crispy!Pratt, then either the less-Crispy!Beevers or the NotCrispy!Beevers, then MacQueen as the bridge into the new series.
But I'd have found it difficult not to use CGI-Snake as well, at least for a post-credits type gag.

Interestingly, my 11-year-old sister loves Hartnell-era Who. I'd never before seen someone beg to watch "The Web Planet." So "distant" or "curmudgeonly" doesn't seem to keep her from enjoying the stories, though she does quite like the young companions like Susan.
But then, she loves the brief bits of Smith's performance that she has seen, too. She thinks he seems really nice, and kinda cute, but just a little scary, too.

I must respectfully completely disagree with you on all points, and advise that you make your way to BigFinish.com and avail yourself of his performances with a proper script at your earliest convenience.

The article is about Colin Baker and his abilities, and since the audios are the only opportunity he has to work with good material, they cannot be simply ignored.

NuWho. My spelling had no dignity. :p

It's one of those postmodern* things. It's all in their heads, messed up protagonists, yay! 'We've moved beyond believing in things like those silly historical people. '
*not using this term technically

He's very popular outside of his Who work, which helps, and there are some rather brilliant lines and revelations in Wife. All of which Moffat has subsequently contradicted. *sigh*

"So I thought, ‘wouldn’t it be amazing to have him go up against himself?’ Which is something that even though is a staple of sci-fi drama, is not something that’s ever happened in Doctor Who."
Erm.... Well, Hartnell, Troughton, Baker, Davison, (and maybe McGann?) have all done this, for starters.
Capaldi/McGann episode 100% officially confirmed! :p

I was about to say something about being mad if that video wasn't the infamous "Merry Christmas to all of you at home..." from Feast of Steven. Then I realized it was Doctor Puppet. All has been forgiven.

I've actually used it as an introduction to Who a couple of times. Went over quite well.
3 months ago on Festive Face-Off: The Snowmen vs The Time of the Doctor
Gosh, this is difficult....The. Snowmen is only 507 times better than Time of the Doctor...what to choose?
Seriously, I'm really glad we've finally gotten to a poll with a Christmas episode I actually like instead of can tolerate or detest. This track record makes me worried for Last Christmas.
Well, I'd have moved Big Finish to at least number 2...

I feel that the Christmas specials have been pretty weak on average over the years, and I only really like one of them. But then, The Snowmen is my (very successful) "Introduce-People-to-Who" episode, so it's doing something right.

Well, the show runners don't. RTD has baby Master, and Moffat baby Doctor.
I think you're going to get a lot of disagreement on this one. Everyone supports the parade of present-day earth companions in NuWho, and no one out there could possibly wish for anything different after ten years....
It only counts the people who see it in the first week.

Technically hasn't Simm appeared in as many episodes?
Utopia/Sound of Drums/Last of the Timelords, and End of Time 1/2 for Simm, Deep Breath, Into the Dalek, The Caretaker, and Dark Water/Death In Heaven for Gomez?
4 months, 2 weeks ago on Face-Off: New Who Masters
Confirmed. I, for one, would have. Because I'd rather choose Jacobi than Simm or Gomez, no offense to either.
I'm so glad we aren't having a "best Master portrayed by an actor" poll.
Delgado and Beevers and MacQueen and Jacobi and Pratt and Ainley and Tipple and Roberts and CGI snake and Simm and Gomez and Hughes and Garfield and three frames of McGann and I'm sure I've forgotten one! How could people choose just one of all of those?!
@Malohkeh @Beasts_a_Snarling is Taking Someone's Body.... I think he's said recently that he actually is interested.

I imagine some of this is due to the (if you'll excuse me) ridiculous hatred piled on that episode, whereas no one especially seems to like Thompson, and Kill the Moon is obviously going to be deeply controversial. I voted for Akhaten, because I enjoy that episode, and I knew Gaiman (whose debut was very good) would win regardless. Besides, I loved the singing.

Of course, it's not like most people got the option to actually choose. Governments would have shut the power girds down (note how blocks shut down at once), and even if they didn't, would "lights off" neighbors or street gangs let the "lights on" people's lights stay on? I think not.

1 year, 1 month ago on Best of Matt Smith: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship
Yeah, he's no Eccleston, and he doesn't have any issues with production or the show (that I know of), more of an "I don't have a story, and want to do other things."
But at least we can enjoy the stories he's left us with.
Well, some of them anyway...averaging stories I like and dislike, he actually comes out fairly...average:
Chimes of Midnight: Brilliant
Dalek: not a fan of the ending, personally. Good, but not extraordinary
Holy Terror: absolutely terrible, and it wasn't the fault of the companion "being" a Penguin.
I haven't heard Jubilee or Scherzo yet (though I intend to)
On second thought, this mightn't be the fairest way to rank writers, as Moffat, for example, has written some of the best stories in NuWho, and some frankly horrible ones as well.
All IMO, of course.
