I loved that final scene between the Doctor and Clara. As Moffat says, it is "a perfect summation of their relationship"… Which is why I think that story should be over, bringing Clara back makes that whole beautiful ending pointless.

Very, very glad to hear this! I've been wanting her to write a story for ages, as I loved her work on Torchwood - Out of Time and Captain Jack Harkness were very beautiful, moving stories, and Adam was a very clever idea.

I don't like angry Whovians… I didn't enjoy it as much as other episodes this season, but it can hardly be called awful.

@DavrosLives I hated Love & Monsters initially, and now consider it a great character piece (I'd give it a 7/10). Fear Her and The Rings of Akhaten are a lot less entertaining personally!

@FoxInTheBox Quite a few of the episodes this series have been a bit over 45 minutes I think, more like 47/48 minutes, so I'd guess DIH is about 58 minutes to fit in an hour time slot :)

That's great to see! I think Jamie Mathieson has proved himself as the best new writer for Doctor Who since Neil Gaiman.

@JamesSkippins I'm surprised you found it childish - I'm sure most people would agree it was one of the most mature and adult stories Doctor Who has really done. The script was incredibly multilayered.

Whilst it is not his accent to blame, I must admit I've struggled to hear a few lines every episode due to Capaldi's volume level being lower than that of other characters (particularly the opening scene of Deep Breath). The balancing with the music has also not been great at times, but I know people have complained about this for years.

@MisterMeanour Well it's more that the news is very fresh in people's minds, and a family programme showing decapitation casually so soon after this tragic event is likely to upset the families and friends of those killed - it just wouldn't be particularly tasteful so soon after this horrific event.

@luckemasse @The Mind Probe Oh yes, that's true! Although that was more off-screen whereas this sounds like it's going to be more obvious if it's the conclusion of a long battle.

A decapitation in Doctor Who sounds very dark to begin with, so I assume this confirms that whoever was going to be beheaded was a robot… I hope cutting this isn't jarring and I hope the DVD shows the full version, but it's a good call from the BBC in light of recent events.
