Ferdinando was brilliant in the role. While people may argue whether 'Deep Breath' was good or not (and I am actually not sure about parts of it myself) I think it's safe to say that the acting was briliant :)

@ Notsosmartguy the dalek of Jersey @Thesilence_1994 @YaelMoise I wouldn't say the LACK of death is a weakness (because there is death) it's just the way in which he handles death is a weakness. There is generally no consequence from it. I love 'Everybody Lives' however if you want to kill someone, I think there has to be consequences associated with it.
1 month ago on Moffat on Death: “There are dark times ahead”
Absolutely. While I may come across as as little bit angry or nasty, I'm honestly not. I really hope you like s8. Also, if you don't like s8, then that's you prerogative, but I still stand by what I said.
@YaelMoise @Thesilence_1994 Ok. I think you're wrong. The ONLY way for shows to grow is for artists to try new things and new ideas. Yes, it may backfire but it may also work. Howver, shows can and will only go downhill if artists never try to take new risks, Look at 'The Simpsons' for a start.
Oh, and the show won't suffer from a bit more emotional realism especially after Clara and Rory dying in multiple episodes.
You will probably disagree with this, and what I have written may even make you angry but I think there are flaws in what you're arguing.
I'm really looking forward to s8. It's such a shame that I've inadvertently come into a few spoilers
@YaelMoise I really disagree. I think it's great that Steven is admitting a weakness in his writing. I think you're taking it too personally.
I am looking forward to all the episodes except 3 and 5. I am not really a fan of Gatiss or Thompson.

Interesting. I look forward to it, we are so lucky to gave a large number of guest writers.
I agree, replace the Xmas special with a regular feature length episode.

The things is, we were never promised The Master, they were only rumours. I don't think you can blame Steven for not delivering something which was never promised.

I love Kate Stewart ( and Jemma Redgrave) I am also a big fan of bad education, so this is great news to me!
I really disagree that it was just one person who said series 5 was like a fairy tale and that it somehow 'caught on'
1) Amy waited 12 years for her doctor to return. Note how that correlates with the fairy tale trope of waiting for Prince Charming to come to the rescue?
2) Rory waited 2000 years outside of the Pandorica to keep Amy safe. Ever heard of the trope 'True Love conquers all'? The way it was narrated in 'The Big Bang' was almost like it came out of something like 'snow white' or 'Cinderella' - Rory the hero, protected his 'princess'
If you wanted to, you could go on and on about how series 5 was very much like a fairy tail ; how Amy realised that travelling with the doctor and Rory was better than the life she had at home. How Amy had to choose between her two 'prince charmings' in her life etc etc.
The doctor even said that Amy (or at least her name) sounded like a fairy tale (that's a fact)
Also, I admit, the way I put it here makes it sound a little corny, but I think it's hard to argue about the use of fairy tale tropes in series 5 at least. Also note, whether you enjoyed the fairy tale trope is another question entirely

So you want to stop moffat limiting creative freedom in the future by limiting what moffat can do with the show now? Interesting.
Note: I'm not jumping on your comment, I'm just making an observation.

It's not even the best scene in that episode. I'm sorry, but I really don't agree with this result. Not at all. Not even the tiniest weeniest bit.

@minifigureman11 @Thesilence_1994 I can definitely see where you are coming from, and I LOVE the Girl Who Waited, but that was 3 years ago. That's a reasonably long time (in TV world) I think.

Please be a doctor-lite episode, we haven't had a good one in ages :)
@Polyphase I don't think there's too much nastiness on this forum. However there is some vile out there that goes beyond debating what you like and what they don't like.

A little upset that 'The Pandorica Opens/ The Big Bang' didn;t make the top 10. That still remains Steven's best script and the best series finale we've had in the revived show.
3 months, 3 weeks ago on The Top Stories & Doctors (According to DWM 2014)
Well I certainly wasn't expecting some of these results.
Sorry mate, I have to agree with pretty much everyone else. It's a 'no' from me.

I certainly wasn't expecting 'Unicorn and the wasp' to get 10/10 while 'Turn Left' gets 3/10. I'd personally swap them around, but that's just my opinion. I agree on pretty much everything else. I absolutely HATE 'Stolen Earth/'Journey's End' I think it's one of the worst finales we've had.

Happy birthday RTD. Without you bringing back Doctor Who, many peoples' lives would be a lot more boring and mundand! Happy 51st, and many happy returns.
And Jenna, The Impossible Girl, I wish you a happy birthday and I really am looking forward to seeing Clara again in series 8. You work very hard to give us our doctor who episodes, so you deserve your week off!! :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :)

I have to agree with Smith, series 5 was definitely the most consistent of his run. It'll be interesting to see how series 8 turns out.

Waters of Mars wins by far! The End Of Time is the worst episode on this list and one of my least favourite episodes ever.
So, Waters of Mars= 9/10
Pretty much everthing else 6/10
The end of time 1/10.

@Master Michael Moon I don't dislike Clara, sure she hasn't had proper character development, but I though she was great in 'Day of the Doctor' for instance.

A good Man Goes to War is the best! 10/10. 'Amy's Choice' is 8/10, 'Idiot's lantern' is 8/10. 'Rings of Akhaten' is 7/10, '42' is 7/10 and 'Unicorn and the Wasp' and 'The long Game' are 3/10.

The best is 'Dalek', followed by 'vamplres' and then 'bells of St. John'. The rest are stories that I don't particularly enjoy and I think they are all equally weak

6 months ago on Best of Matt Smith: Results (12-06)
I'm not surprised about the actual episodes present here, though I would change the order: 1) The Eleventh Hour (10/10)- happens to be my favourite episode of doctor who. 2) The Pandorical Opens and the Big Bang (10/10). 3) The doctor's Wife (9/10). 4) Vincent and the doctor (9/10). 5) 'The Day of the Doctor' (8/10)
6 months ago on Best of Matt Smith: Results (5-1)
'Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS' and *flame shield up* 'Time of the Doctor' should be in the bottom 5. With the exception of the regeneration episode, these were really bad episodes. 'Night Terrors' and 'Vampires' and perhaps 'Victory' should not be on this list.
6 months, 1 week ago on Best of Matt Smith: Results (39-34)
@Polyphase I too am a bit surprised, there definitely have been worse Matt Smith/11th doctor scripts. Sure, it is undeniably flawed, in particular the villain was rather rubbish. But there is a lot of charm in it as well. The last scene where the doctor meets the Ponds is one of my favourite moments of series 6.
@Polyphase @Thesilence_1994 Presumably just a simple mistake :) Probably nothing harmful behind it.
6 months, 3 weeks ago on Moffat: Remaking Doctor Who would be Insane
@Polyphase It means that if someone asked Moffat to make a new Doctor Who series, he wouldn't do it as he thinks it's an insane idea.
Amelia pond, miss Evangelista, River Song (and Melody pond), Clara Oswin Oswald and now Danny Pink. Where does Moffat get these names from? In all seriousness (and despite my very tongue in cheek comment) I am looking forward to this :)
