@Huknar Me, too. I love the bronze ones, but if we could get a different rank painted white with black bumps/details, that would look pretty cool.

@Sharaz_Jek The Supreme was made glossy and reflective for Asylum. I agree that the colors were MUCH better.
1 hour, 3 minutes ago on Time to Regenerate the Daleks?
@Gustaff Yes, very well written. I started reading thinking, "I'll just read the first few sentences to get the gist..." And then my attention was held for several paragraphs before I realized what had happened. It's a good article that pulled me in. Nice job, Patrick.

@JoehWh0 I like this. Keep the bronze ones, but add variety. We could have Red Paradigm Drones bossing around the bronze ones, Blue Paradigm Strategists bossing around silver ones... I don't know. Whatever. Keep the bronze ones, though, but, by all means, they can add other ranks.
5 hours, 19 minutes ago on Time to Regenerate the Daleks?
@Master Michael Moon Seriously. How dare people express enthusiasm for a show produced primarily in another country?! The nerve!

@gunslinger19 The producers and directors have the final say, but filmmaking is always a collaborative, poly-vocal process. Capaldi is completely within his purview to bring his own ideas about his character to the table. Matt Smith and David Tennant did the same thing.
3 days, 10 hours ago on Capaldi was Adamant About No Flirting in Series 8
@Antee991166 I think Moffat just does what is best for the show and what he thinks is best. He's always been about trying new things with the show.

@TardisBoy Moffat even did find an episode for Captain Jack to be in - "A Good Man Goes to War". But John Barrowman was already filming Torchwood: Miracle Day, so it couldn't happen.

@Huknar @Amy is Hannibal Vashta Nerada anywhere, really. A great monster many people want to see again.
3 weeks, 6 days ago on Are the Big Enemies Being Overused?
@Amy is Hannibal I'm gonna break up this reply with numbered points since this current comments system isn't very paragraph-friendly. 1) River does say she had some TARDIS-flying lessons from the Doctor in "The Pandorica Opens". 2) I also think "Bad Night" and "Good Night" have to go between "Day of the Moon" and "The Rebel Flesh" because Amy and Rory take no particular interest in River being right outside the TARDIS. 3) I think placing "Rain Gods" between "The Rings of Akhaten" and "Cold War" makes the most sense. The Doctor is definitely between visits with Clara between those two episodes. It really can't fit between "The Bells of Saint John" and "The Rings of Akhaten" because one episode leads directly into the next. The lack of waistcoat in "Rain Gods" means nothing, as the Doctor can vary his clothes as he likes, plus he went sans-waistcoat in "The Time of the Doctor". 3)I'd love Steven Moffat to give us a definitive River Song timeline that includes all of her appearances (except probably the intentionally ambiguous "Last Night" appearance).

@Distilledoreo Probably a total coincidence, but very cool.

@Galax @Antee991166 @Notsosmartguy @supermoff "I don't think I know who the Doctor is anymore."
The Seventh Doctor said "I'm not human!" three times in the TV movie. Unfortunately, the Doctor doesn't always tell the truth and that was the same story that said he was part human, so I can't say that "definitively" settles it.
1 month ago on Moffat: Who says the Doctor is NOT human?
@ahunter8056 There have never been exclusive clips for Americans. There have only been exclusive clips for people who attend panels and conventions.

@Malohkeh 4/12 is still not bad. And, who knows, maybe a decrease in the quantity of Moffat episodes will cause an increase in the quality of Moffat episodes if he has fewer episodes dividing his attention.

Didn't Mark Gatiss say he was writing two episodes? Either way, it looks like Neil Cross' episode might have to wait until next year unless it was dropped completely.
@Temporal_Tomato And then end it with McGann getting his own mini-series. For real.

@Gustaff Haven't seen the TV movie in a few years, but I thought Eric Roberts was great. I think an actor's talent is more important than nationality. That said, I'd like the Master to keep his accent British.

But the Moffat era has had single series arcs.
Series 5: Cracks in Time
Series 6: Lake Silencio
Series 7: The Impossible Girl
The difference is that these three series-long arcs added up to a bigger, 4-year arc.

@supermoff So many survivors? The ones in the Dalek Asylum were the only ones that not involved in the war. Then there's the four from the Cult of Skaro that were in the void when the war ended. The only two survivors that were actually involved in the battle when the Doctor ended the war were the Emperor Dalek and the soldier from "Dalek."

Whoa, is the Madame Kovarian/Tasha Lem marriage canon? Or was Moffat just joking? Because I missed any references to a relationship/homosexuality between the two characters.
@Antee991166 @supermoff The old stories being remade was an idea they had when they were considering a complete reboot from scratch. The rest is probably accurate, unfortunately.

@The Genie I'm with you in that I wouldn't have thought to cut away mid-regeneration to respect Chris' decision. I have disagree about the claim that Chris doesn't respect Doctor Who. Chris' interviews about the show and his letter of reflection for the show's 50th year show that he does respect the show. I guess he just wants 2005 to remain his special and only time on the show, and that's fine with me.
3 months ago on Moffat on Why Hurt to Eccleston Regeneration Was So Short
@The Oracle™ I agree. Although he was self-loathing about something that did happen. The Doctor didn't just miss his home planet, he was ashamed that he had his hand on a button that would kill his people, including his own family, and he was 100% definitely ready to go through with it without further question. Although he kept the offending incarnation a secret from others, the Doctor had to live with that part of himself and still does. It's just that now he knows he has swooped in to correct his past self, and that makes things better. Plus, he still killed many people during the centuries-long war. That still happened.

@The Genie "Also, the milk joke. [...] Let’s be honest, we all thought that was a naughty like throwaway line for the grown-ups..." Wow, really? I didn't take it like that, and still don't, actually. It wouldn't make any sense for Oswin to be lactating. I just thought it was the Doctor pointing out how easily the audience accepts illogical parts of a TV show.
@Baker Street… is the Moment! Really too bad he gave away the surprise in an interview just a few days before, which I unfortunately saw. But even knowing it was coming, the moment was just as amazing. And Paul McGann surprised me, anyway.

@PaddyB According to rumors: Originally, the Weeping Angels grabbed the Doctor's leg and tried to immobilize him by turning it to stone. He got a wooden one soon after. The part of him getting his leg turned to stone and the part where it's shown he has a wooden leg were both cut. The wooden leg was supposedly written in to explain why Smith was limping (he had an injury in real life), and the Doctor's older age was already a good explanation for that, so it was cut.

@Planet of the Deaf Oh, wow, I never knew they released the different versions of Tennant's last moment. Off to watch that right away...
Probably just shot with different levels of distress and crying (would explain why Matt's tears disappear and reappear between shots). I believe they did the same thing for David Tennant. We probably didn't miss any extra lines or anything, and it's just that not all of Matt's favorite takes were used.
@Master Michael Moon I think Gallifrey's location and the woman who gave Clara the Doctor's number is all that remains to be resolved.
