A great episode, I thought it was better then Listen personally.

Yeah Capaldi's I'm the Doctor moment is something I've been waiting for.

Matt Smith would be proud.

Fantastic episode Doctor Who on top form, Jamie Mathieson is hands down the best writer this season.

Oh and the Doctor's little jig after avoiding the train was just golden.

I'm thrilled about the amount of screen time and focus Clara has got this season, the Doctor may be the hero but the companion is the main character that's how it's supposed be, however I didn't like what Moffat did with her in Listen for me that's just overkill.

I agree, i remember when Doctor Who at the Proms 2010 wasn't included in the Series 6 box set even though it had already been released in the Christmas Carol standalone DVD. That annoyed me.

Love the cover art they get better with every series but dose this mean that the Deep Breath Cinema intro and Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor are not included in this set? If so that's really annoying as they were included in the Deep Breath standalone release.

Yep Clara changing her mind was the highlight for me too and seeing just how happy the Doctor was that she decided to stay was perfect.

Despite some of my issues with Series 8 so far it's certainly a lot more character driven then Series 5-7 which is a massive improvement.

It's looking likely that Clara is in this episode after all and I'm disappointed, I think having Mummy Clara free and Flatline Doctor free is a really cool idea and freshens things up but It doesn't look like it's going in that direction :(

looking back I don't think Doctor Who Live, the World Tour, putting Deep Breath in Cinemas and all this hype for Capaldi and Series 8 has done the show any good at all. It (as you say) indirectly raises the expectations of fans to unrealistic heights, I hope they never go as over the top for a new Doctor again.

@Ivegotkidneys is companionless! I hope so, one of my biggest nitpick's was when James Cordon's name wasn't included in the title sequence of Closing Time. It would of made Amy and Rory's cameo in that story a proper surprise as I genually thought they had left in The God Complex.

Kill the Moon really was a great episode, Doctor Who at it's best. I agree the argument was the highlight of the story and so far the season for me.

@A Friend of the Ood @Mikeyboss182 I don't think Into the Dalek and Time Heist are very good episodes at all and Robot of Sherwood was pretty averege.

I think the first half of Series 8 has been a mixed bag ranging from great, good, averege to just plain poor. Peter Capaldi however is sublime, he's everything I wanted the Twelfth Doctor to be but like the last two series the stories lack consistency. Doctor Who can do better then this.

@Antee991166 For me it's Rory, he was such a brilliant character, my least favourite is Clara, I don't dislike her and she's far better in Series 8 then she was in 7 but I just don't click with her as much as I did with Amy and Rory.

Capaldi’s constant jabs and outright prejudice against Danny due to his past life as a soldier gets taken to uncomfortable levels. It pushes the Doctor a bit too far into unlikable territory.
