@sontaran17 @Mikeyboss182 Yes but then use them as a small cameo like in The Waters of Mars and The Wedding of River Song not a full on Dalek story.

After a rewatch I will give this story a 6/10. It's not bad but I jut feel like I have seen this all before and I think it's to early for Capaldi to face the Daleks, seriously they really need to give the Daleks a rest now.

I love the new title sequence, seriously I think it’s the best one in the shows history. Just a shame the theme tune is so ghastly the worst one since the 1987-1989 version.

"The problem is, does endless killing actually make them scary?

It dose if they kill off characters that we actually care about, If they are just going to kill a bunch of red shirts then that’s not good enough, they need to create a character that we as an audience genuinely care about and don’t expect to die and then kill them. The best Dalek episode of the new series for me is The Parting of the Ways, I don’t think the Daleks have ever been more ruthless then in that episode.

The Eleventh Hour, however I think both Matt and Peter were just as good as each other in their first stories it just that The Eleventh Hour is a better written and more enjoyeble episode then Deep Breath.

Completely agree with this article however I don't think Moffat has handled Vastra and Jenny’s relationship very well at all particularly in Deep Breath. I love the fact that Vastra and Jenny are a couple I really do but why in pretty much every scene with them do they have to mention it? It would of been a lot better if it was treated more as matter-of-fact instead of being brought up every five minutes.

I think Deep Breath is a good post-regeneration story but it's not a great one and pales in comparison to The Eleventh Hour. Peter Calpaldi however is amazing, he's everything i wanted the Twelfth Doctor to be.

In terms of the title sequence... I love it, seriously I think it's the best title sequence the show has ever had and the fact it was originally designed by a fan just makes it even more awesome. There's just one problem... the theme tune I hate it, I think it's possibly the worst theme in the shows history along with the 1987-1989 theme.

@Kihjj @Mikeyboss182 I wouldn't go that far, It's just we have had some really fantastic direction in Doctor Who recently but I found the direction in this episode quite underwhelming.

Dose anyone else think the direction of this story was pretty poor? I think the editing of the Doctor falling out of the tree and on horseback was pretty choppy and the fight scenes weren't well chreographed at all.

Rose is a great start to the new series. What I love about it is that it's told completly from the perspective of Rose herself, she's the main character and that makes the Doctor more of a mystery just like in An Unearthly Child when the story was told from the perspective of Ian and Barbara. This is something I want Doctor Who to go back to, I want Deep Breath and the rest of Series 8 to be told as Clara's story, the Doctor may be the hero but the companion is the main character.

My new series Dalek story rankings.

Dalek - 10/10: Love it, Christopher Eccleston is amazing.

Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways - 10/10: Incredible, the Daleks at their absolute best and Eccleston is sublime.

Army of Ghosts/Doomsday - 10/10: A fantastic finale.

Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks - 3/10: A mess, Series 3 should not have had a Dalek story.

The Stolen Earth/Journey's End - 6/10: Has it's moments but overall RTD's weakest finale.

Victory of the Daleks - 6/10: Pretty average but Matt Smith and Ian McNeice were brilliant.

Asylum of the Daleks - 7/10: A step in the right direction for the Daleks but it pales in comparison to the first three Dalek stories of the new series.
