Well I for one don't want a Jenny spin-off as I hated that character, as for a female Doctor I don't really care either way but respect Davison for his honest opinion.

I'm just glad Moffat didn't win best writer not after the disaster that was Dark Water/Death in Heaven.

I felt Twelve's personality was all over the place during the first five episodes of Series 8 but that's quite common for a new Doctor, the only two actors who have nailed the Doctor right from the get go are Tom and Matt IMO. It's was around The Caretaker when I think Peter really came into his own and by Mummy on the Orient Express that was it, he's one of the best Doctor's ever.

@Chris502 @Mikeyboss182  His desire to combat evil and encourage good is the premise of the bloody series.  He may not be very nice since Peter Capaldi showed up, but you'd need to have a brain the size of a walnut to think he wasn't a force for good any more.

To be honest I think the reason the 12th Doctor is so good is entirely down to Peter Capaldi's performance and love for the part not Moffat's writing. For instance I think the "Am I a good man" arc is one of the biggest load of bollocks I have ever seen in Doctor Who.

In terms of Classic Who I used to try and watch one story a day but just didn't have the time and wasn't having fun. Now I watch one 25 min episode a day and it works really well, to be honest I do the same with New Who marathons as well nowadays, just one episode a day.

I always watch an episode when I go to bed with a nice cup of tea and a Jammie Dodger :)

@LaraHarris @supermoff I completely agree, I love The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang it's one of my favourite Who stories of all time but I honestly don't get all the love for it's cliffhanger. A run of the mill cliffhanger as you put it is the perfect way to describe it IMO.

Great article. New Who has had some really great cliffhangers, out of these I would say "Are you my mummy?" is the best one and the ways it was resolved was just genius.

@blakeavon  You know that RTD wrote Nine's Regeneration to right? (IMO the best regeneration scene in the shows history) So he clearly understands the Doctor and regeneration. But I agree in that he completely dropped the ball with Ten's.

3 weeks, 2 days ago on Why I Hate the Tenth Doctor’s Regeneration

@Antee991166  @Mikeyboss182 Oh yes I think Caves is the better regeneration story but Nine had the best regen scene.

I didn't like Ten's regeneration much either, Nine's is still the best in the shows history IMO, It kicks both Ten an Eleven's out of the park.

I agree about Robot of Sherwood, that episode felt like an Eleventh Doctor story that just happened to have the Twelfth Doctor in it. It's ok to have a fun and silly episode but that sort of slapstick humour just doesn't suit Peter Capaldi.
