Oh Capaldi I love you :)
1 day, 19 hours ago on Capaldi was Adamant About No Flirting in Series 8
The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe - 4/10: The first half of this Christmas special is atually pretty good, it's when Cyril enters the forest that this story turns into a absolute snore fest.
Asylum of the Daleks - 6/10: A good start to Series 7. It looks amazing, the Oswin reveal was genius and Matt Smith is at the top of his game as the Doctor. However I was very disappointed by the lack of classic series Daleks and the Pond's divorce was one of the most stupid sub plots I have ever seen.
Dinosaurs on a Spaceship - 3/10: Oh I hate this one, nearly everything about it just irritates me, those stupid robots, the childish humor and just the lack of Dinosaur action. David Bradley was great though.
A Town Called Mercy - 7/10: This one I really like a lot, the moral dilemma just really appeals me and we got to see that darker side to the Eleventh Doctor. I do think the script is a bit messy though.
The Power of Three - 9/10: This is my favourite story from Series Pond It’s very funny (unlike Dinosaurs) and feels more like a story straight out the RTD era. It was also great to see UNIT again for the first time in ages and that scene between the Doctor and Amy at the Tower of London is my favourite scene between the two. The only problem is the ending which was a massive let-down, I think The Power of Three is a prime example of a story that needed to be a two-parter or at the very least sixty minutes long.
The Angles Take Manhattan - 8/10: I think to really enjoy this story I have to turn my brain off, there are just gaping plot holes all the way through it. But it is very entertaining, very sad and a good one for the Pond's to go out on and the last line of the story was just perfect.
The Snowmen - 6/10: This story is a mixed bag for me as it's kind of made up of good little moments, the Paternoster Gang were great (although the humour from Strax was hit and miss), the Sherlock Holmes gag was genius, the TARDIS reveal was awesome and the Doctor's arc throughout the story was very well done. The villains of this special however were lame, the Snowmen don't do anything and Richard E. Grant's performance is just well... bad, he didn't seem into it at all and that scene where he gets possessed by the GI is embarrassing, I'm also probably in the minority hear in that I found victorian Clara (like Oswin) incredibly annoying.

Thought that teaser was a bit stupid to be honest, preferred the last three.
2 days, 11 hours ago on Listen! Series 8 Teaser Trailer
I think The Time of the Doctor is pretty good but It dose have it's problems I think the last 15 mins however is pretty much perfect. The Eleventh Doctor on the clock tower is now my absolute favourite Matt Smith moment and the regeneration scquence itself is really well done, it's not the best in the shows history (Eccleston's still holds that honer) but I can't think of a more perfect, more heroic way for my Doctor to go out.
3 days ago on Why I Love the 11th Doctor’s Regeneration
Wow didn't expect this, Capaldi's getting the biggest debut ever.
3 days, 19 hours ago on Deep Breath To Be Shown in Cinemas Globally
@TheOncomingStorm @Planet of the Deaf @Mikeyboss182 @supermoff I think a Six/Peri dynamic can work if handled well and I think that's what Moffat is going for with Twelve/Clara, at least at the beginning of the season.
4 days, 10 hours ago on Five Expectations for Series 8
@TheOncomingStorm @Notsosmartguy approves of female thor @Mikeyboss182 @supermoff Series 4 for me, great stories and great Doctor/companion relationship.
@TheOncomingStorm @Mikeyboss182 @supermoff Oh I love The Unicorn and the Wasp one of my favorite Tennant stories, so happy Gareth Roberts is back this year.
4 days, 11 hours ago on Five Expectations for Series 8
@supermoff @Mikeyboss182 Yes I completly agree, I would love to see a Four/Sarah Jane, Ten/Donna dynamic between them. Two best mates going off to explore the universe.
Completly disagree with main focus on plot, not companion. In my opinion the last two series focused a lot more on the Doctor then the companions and they felt more plot driven then character driven epically in Series 7. In a way I want Series 8 to be all about Clara, we see the Doctor through her eyes, the Doctor's the hero but the companion is the main character, that how I prefer Doctor Who.
Yeah I can see what he means, the Twelfth Doctor means the twelfth actor to have played the lead role is a good way to put it.
4 days, 19 hours ago on Moffat Questions “Twelfth Doctor” Title
Sounds promising, really looking forward to 8.04 sounds like my kind of episode along with 8.06.
5 days, 14 hours ago on SFX #251 Previews Series 8
@awkward912 @Mikeyboss182 Well I recon it will just be those Behind the Lens docs that you can find on Youtube, I could be wrong though.
5 days, 20 hours ago on Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Collection DVD & Blu-ray
@awkward912 @Mikeyboss182 Mayby a proper 60 min documentary on the Making of Day, Doctor Who at Comic Con 2013, few commentaries perhaps, we use to get them for every episode back in the RTD days.
Not as much special features as I was expecting but I will probably get it anyway. Nice to see they are including The Name of the Doctor in the set.
Well I'll believe it when I see it Moff.
1 week ago on Moffat: Series 8 Not A Fairytale, There Are Consequences
I personally like the Sonic Screwdriver and don't want them to permently get rid of it like they did in the 80's but I do agree it's become way overused of late especially in Series 7, so yes the writers need to buck up and start thinking of more clever and inventive ways to solve problems. Oh and give Capaldi is own one next season.
1 week, 2 days ago on Doctor Who’s Biggest Deus Ex Machina
This finale dose seem to be very The Invasion inspired, I love it. Let's just hope the Cybermen attually show up in this story, they were nowhere to be seen in Nightmare in Silver.
1 week, 2 days ago on Cybermen Invade London (Again!)
I really don't see the point in a 10th anniversary special, I can't really explain why but it's just seems a bit stupid after the 50th. However I think a documentery could be good on the 26th March and some small references in Series 9 but that's about it.
1 week, 3 days ago on Will There Be a 10th Anniversary Special for the Revival?
There was a time when I would of loved Captain Jack to return but he's been away so long now I have kind of past caring.
1 week, 3 days ago on Barrowman on Jack’s Future, Capaldi Critics
I think both Classic and New Who are the opposite of one another, in the Classic series stories were either just the right lenth or too long, in the new series stories are either just the right lenth or too short.
1 week, 5 days ago on Are Longer Stories Better? Five Classics
@TardisBoy Summed up my thoughts exactly.
1 week, 6 days ago on How Far Into Darkness will the 12th Doctor Take Us?
I really do like the tweaks to the TARDIS interior it looks so much more homely now with the new light ting. I loved Matt's second TARDIS when it was first revealed in The Snowmen but as 7B went on I started to get bored of it, I found it was too much like a generic alien spaceship.
2 weeks ago on Series 8 Launch Trailer Breakdown
Thinking about it i think twelves line "I have made many mistakes" is from episode two with the Daleks, he's feeling guilty about letting them get away all the time and decides to get rid of them once and for all hence his line "Into darkness" he may do some really dark stuff in that episode which leads to ask Clara if he is a good man at the end. Just a theory.

@The Genie I could not agree more well said.
2 weeks, 1 day ago on Doctor Who Series 8 TV Launch Trailer
@stargazer0118 @YaelMoise I agree with you the best part of the trailer is just how different Twelve seems from Eleven.
I like the new lighting in the TARDIS and the furniture is a nice touch, very Hartnell.
Wow Dinosaurs in London :D
Hmm interesting I expected Clara to be in her Christmas outfit all the way through this story looks like this is not the case, I wonder if the Doctor and Clara are under cover hear?
2 weeks, 4 days ago on Series 8: Deep Breath First Look
Sounds like an
interesting idea for a Dalek story but I can’t say I'm too thrilled about them
appearing so soon after Day and Time and why as early as episode two? Couldn't they have held them off to a bit later in the series?
Then again I suppose it’s
a nice nod to the William Hartnell era, with both one and Twelve facing the
Daleks in their second stories.
3 weeks, 2 days ago on Dalek Story Details for Series 8?
Hang on was that Davros? Seriously though that's the most evil I have heard the Daleks sound in years
3 weeks, 3 days ago on Series 8: New Teaser Trailer “I see into your soul, Doctor”
Great to have another new writer on board although I'm surprised to not see a Neil Cross script this year i thought he was a given, mayby his script is being held off until Series 9.
3 weeks, 3 days ago on Series 8: Frank Cottrell Boyce Confirmed
Well if Series 8 has to have have a Dalek story then I would rather it be episode 10. Another new writer on board though great news :)
3 weeks, 5 days ago on Series 8: The Final Writer?
Thank you for this article I love Closing Time, It's just so much fun in a otherwise dark series. Matt Smith and James Cordon make a great double act and Gareth Roberts gets the humor spot on as always. I really don't get the hate for it and I would watch Closing Time over that piece of crap Nightmare in Silver any day.
3 weeks, 6 days ago on The Common Criticisms of Closing Time
@Stickmanville Now that would be an awesome twist.
3 weeks, 6 days ago on Series 8 Finale Filming: Beyond the Grave
@Notsosmartguy @Mikeyboss182 @Antee991166 Oh yes The Stolon Earth/Journey's End, my least favorite series finale.
@Notsosmartguy @Antee991166 I disagree I'm hoping for something different this time, end of the universe timey wimey finales have been done to death in Moffat's era, a nice simple invasion of earth type story sounds good to me.
@jlocoleman @Mikeyboss182 Rory is Amy's boyfriend (recurring character) in Series 5, he dies, then returns for the finale as an Auton. I could be completely wrong though.
I think the Cyberman Clara is talking to is Danny Pink, he may die at some point in Series 8 then be brought as a Cyberman for the finale. Hmm I getting deja vu hear.
Hmm new vortex, new opening titles maybe?
3 weeks, 6 days ago on Series 8 DVD / Blu-Ray Dated
No I don't think the classic format would work in this day and age at all, however I do think Doctor Who could benefit from having a series of hour long episodes nowadays especially if Moffat wants to continue with the blockbuster of the week type format.
4 weeks ago on Is the Current Format a Serial Killer?

4 weeks, 1 day ago on An Earthly Gallifrey
@supermoff I do agree with you hear Series 5 is the only season of Doctor Who to be told like a fairy-tale, all three of Matt Smith's seasons were very different from each other in tone and the way they were structured.
4 weeks, 1 day ago on Should Doctor Who Adopt a Darker Tone?
Personally I think Series 6 was a very dark season and I
don't think the show really needs to go any darker than that, I mean out of the
eleven stories from that season only three of them were retentively light-hearted,
The Curse of the Black Spot, Let's Kill Hitler and Closing Time. I would
however like to see a darker, grittier and more bad ass Doctor which I think is
what where going to get with Capaldi, not that I didn't like Matt (he's my favourite
Doctor) but that's one of the joys of Regeneration is that you want the Doctor
to be different each time.
So overall in terms of the tone of the stories I think the
show is just fine as it is.
1 month ago on Should Doctor Who Adopt a Darker Tone?
@Huknar @Mikeyboss182 I agree, in my opinion Utopia has the best cliffhanger in Doctor Who's history.
1 month ago on Why the Doomsday Farewell is Not the Greatest
Gallifrey this saving Gallifrey that, don’t get me wrong it’s a great scene but
like Rose’s departure it’s not the greatest scene in Doctor Who’s history not
even close and what about some other great scenes from the RTD era itself.

Doctor Regenerates (The Parting of the Ways)
Rose before falling into the void. (Doomsday)
