@LoneRangerNinjutsu @Mr 11 He still thinks of them as 'bloody kids' as I've heard him use the term in several interviews. And that follow up still has something very patronising as he's implying that age is a determining factor of someone's acting ability. For example Jennifer Lawrence's young age hasn't exactly dragged down her performances. It's akin to an adult on congratulating a child on a drawing that's very good for their age.

Personally I don't think it should have one but I'm very proud and reckon it should be in the top 20. In its place I think the 'I am your Father' scene should've taken top spot. The Avengers moment is funny but incredibly overated. It's nice to see the Matrix and Harry Potter here (think Harry Potter should've been lower) and THAT Game of Thrones moment defo deserves it's place 'The Lannisters send their regards *stab* WWWWWWWAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH'

Disappointing but to be expected! Then Doctor Who on the Comic-Con scene has always been disappointing (trailers for comic-con attendees only) so I suppose we can't get our hopes up.

4 weeks, 1 day ago on No Doctor Who Panel At San Diego Comic-Con 2014

Other than Mark Gatiss (I do like his stories but I just don't find many of them outstanding) and Steve Thompson, I'm happy with the writing line up and very happy to see some new faces! It's a privilege to have Ben Wheatley and Rachael Talalay (nice to have a female director) on board and Douglas Mackinnon's work is consistently brilliant. All round Capaldi's first series should be solid!

'Those kids' have brought brilliant new inventive takes on a long-running character, keeping it fresh and brining a whole new audience (not just lusty fangirls) to Doctor Who and have brought joy and inspired  millions of people! I frankly find that ageist attitude disgusting!

Can't wait for this! Seeing the Doctor truly transform from idealistic madman with a box to damaged war hero will be very interesting and the battles surely will be spectacular. I hope they aim really high on the scope so they take this opportunity to describe battles unfilmable for the screen!

Wow...this was an incredible article. I did like Rose but her treatment of Mickey annoyed me and her love for the Doctor could cause her do to things I really couldn't see eye to eye with. However this article has put Rose into a better light. She was not a perfect person, but then again that's the beauty of her. She is the most realistic companion we have ever seen and that's why a lot of people relate to her and adore her. Not only that she introduced an entire generation to Doctor Who and we discovered this mad universe with her so I can honestly say I have much more respect for her. (But I'm still not going to forget that 'thanks for what?' 'exactly' comment)

1. I agree

2. The End of the World (I truly think TBB is a misunderstood episode and if you look hard you'll find things you like. Also The End of the World is IMO the worst episode of the new series so I'm definitely putting it there.

3. Gridlock- (But TCOTBS is second to last)

4. Aliens of London (But DIM is pretty close to the worst ep 4)

5. Rise of the Cybermen- (Good but not great)

6. I Agree

7. The Long Game (Almost TIL but I think TLG is a bit worse)

8. Human Nature (I picked HN and I love The Hungry Earth, so shoot me)

I'm picking Asylum of the Daleks. It was a good old-fashioned Doctor vs Daleks episode that felt very refreshing after the complicated Series 6 arc. The Daleks were nudged in the right direction and felt threatening. Nick Hurran's direction was gorgeous and nailed the atmosphere! The leads reminded us why we fell in love with the character's in the first place and Jenna Colman gave an enticing performance. The plot twists were shocking and got us all talking and hooked for the new series.

1. Asylum of the Daleks- 10/10

2. The Eleventh Hour- 9.5/10 (10)

3. The Impossible Astronaut- 9/10

4. Partners in Crime- 8.5/10 (9)

5. Rose - 8/10

6. Smith and Jones- 8/10

7. New Earth 7.5/10 (8)

Well she's apparently a brilliant actress and she's playing a villain who's a banker, which seems like a very mature villain. Looks very promising....

4 months, 2 weeks ago on Series 8: Keeley Hawes cast as Ms Delphox

9/10 for me! While not quite as strong as Series 5, Series 6 was still very good! Matt, Karen and Arthur all stepped up their performances as they were more comfortable in the roles and showed different sides to their characters. Matt echoed Sylvester McCoy as he kept plot details and secrets under wraps from his companions and Karen showed a more vulnerable Amy and blew us all away with her performance in TGWW. I liked the story arc though at times it became too complicated and illogical. The Silence were great villains. The concept is just fantastic and they're undeniably creepy. The directing and cinematography became really cinematic this series as evidenced in the Series opener with it's glorious images of Utah. Murray Gold crafted several new inspiring tracks my personal favourites being The Wedding of River Song and The Majestic Tale of a Madman with a Box. The scripts could've been more consistent like Series 5 whereas Series 6 had some episodes that peaked and others that hit lows for example TCOTBS and CT are very cheesy and don't deliver on their premises however AGMGTW and TIA/DOTM have tight plotting and well-explored themes. On the whole not as strong as Series 5 but still a brilliant series!

9/10 for me! Steven Moffat perfectly structured the Series with consistent and interesting themes and the arc was perfect. Stronger than we've seen but not too complicated! Matt and Karen are excellent and sink into their roles really well, both of them becoming my favourite Doctor and companion! The scripts were very strong and consistent too! Murray Gold composed some of his best tracks including I am the Doctor and the all of the songs from the Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang were pretty good too!

Oh my god. I cannot put my love for this episode into words! First of all well bloody done Steven Moffat for not screwing up. It could've so easily gone wrong and it didn't. It was an incredible decision to look back at the past but set up plans for the future. I also must praise the decision to bring back Gallifrey. It was never in character for The Doctor to blow up Gallifrey so I think it's great they changed it without destroying seven series of character development. The cast was extremely strong. Matt and Jenna have very strong scenes (particularly for Matt when he's narrating) and it was like David never left. Oh and what a joy it was to see Matt and David together on screen. They have marvellous chemistry and I'd pay to have them get their own spin-off. I'm glad Billie was cast as the moment rather than Rose and she brings a lot of charm to the role. We've also got to talk about John Hurt, who's just fantastic as the War Doctor. You can see the wait of all the death he's had to carry and yet he's still very Doctor-ish and gets some cracking dialogue, 'What are you going to do? Assemble a cabinet at them?'. Even though he was only in this episode he's one of my favourite Doctors. Nick Hurran really deserved to direct this special. Honestly this episode has the best visuals then any other episode ever. Whether it's the TARDIS zooming over London or the Daleks assaulting Arcadia, Nick commands the screen with huge scale and colours expected off a blockbuster movie (also loved the shot going into the TARDIS and the 3-D painting). The story couldn't have gone in a better direction. It shows the Daleks at full power in a spine-chilling explosive scene (well done visual effects team this was SFX of the highest quality) the bringing back of Gallifrey in one of the show's all time best scenes (c'mon all thirteen Doctors it's got to be also that Capaldi cameo......always gives Goosebumps) contains several throwbacks, features UNIT and the Zygons, features old Doctors with sensible placing and utility (Tom Baker cameo when I heard that booming voice declare, 'Y'know I really think you might......I just cheered for joy), has Murray showcase the best tracks he's composed and features the perfect storyline for the occasion celebrating the past and paving way for the future, featuring arguably Moffat's strongest script yet. In fact every single moment is just sheer joy for everyone so I of course have to give this masterpiece a 10/10

4 months, 2 weeks ago on Best of Matt Smith: The Day of the Doctor

The Name of the Doctor has got to be one of the most epic episodes in the show's history. There are so many incredible scenes for example the last 10/15 minutes are just amazing scene after amazing scene. The standout scenes were the pre-title sequence, Clara entering the Doctor's time stream, River's goodbye scene and that cliff-hanger, surely one of the best in Doctor Who history. John Hurt as the Doctor! It still never fails to give me Goosebumps. Saul Metzstein once again shows his prowess by amongst other things convincingly splices modern day footage and old episodes with perfection. The pre title sequence couldn't have been better. Clara and the First Doctor's astounding and finally grants us to see how the Doctor started his journey. Steven Moffat creates a imaginative complex plot that's chock-a-block with twists and epic moments. River's goodbye is touching and Alex and Matt play it brilliantly. I'm glad Steven chose for the Doctor that he truly loved River as closure for her arc as we wondered for some time whether he just married her so he'd shoot him. Murray Gold offers some of his best tracks here. To Save the Doctor is a sweeping majestic song which remixes the tone of This is Gallifrey with ease. The use of The Wedding of River Song is also a stroke of genius. Taking all these incredible moments (another one is when the Doctor discovers he's going to Trenzalore....Matt's incredible) incredible performances and a fantastic plot I'm giving this episode 10/10
