@3rdDalektotheLeft ... is hyped for Dark Water!   I just thought she acted alot like Idris with the biting thing there's something about that garden resembling the Tardis, The fountain even resembles the console.

@Oodkind IS MISSY!!!!! What about the Tardis? There's also Missy from nightmare in Silver which seems like a huge coincedence. You saw the Cyber hand attcking her but not the death

A very enjoyable episode with a slightly dodgy resolution. The child actors were pretty good especially the Maebh character, Ruby on the other hand got far too many lines. Danny is really getting annoying, He is so level headed and honest I'm starting to question his motives. One thing that wasn't explained was who started the fire in the Tardis?

I'm liking the idea that Missy could be the Tardis, It explains the boyfriend bit and her interest in the Doctor/Clara but then again.....

Watched The Eleventh Hour again last night and I must say that compared to this season it's amazing how childish I found it. By far the best thing about it was young Amelia, What an amazing actress, She ran rings around poor Matt

Had to share this with everyone, Got quite a shock when I came across it.

“He’s a wonderful choice to play the Doctor. Instantly one felt: this fellow comes from far far away, he’s strange. An instant frisson. And what’s the word? Yes, got it! Alien, he’s an alien. I salute him.” Tom Baker (the original alien one might say)

Looks like he's broken his own rules and been watching, Good man :)

Wonder what the significance of Missy's outfit is? I just can't stop thinking of the similarities with Miss Hartigan. Missy wears maroon with matching umbrella, Miss H wears red with matching umbrella and they both knock around with Cybermen. Miss H died while in charge of the Cyberking, Missy is in the netherspere with what seems like tombs of Cybermen and she say to the Doctor "You know who I am"

Great article:)  It's a watchable story but I personally don't like the CGI Cybermen or the instant upgrades. Instead of making them more unnerving I feel it totally voids their effectiveness.

@Scootersfood, Secret Agent of C.L.A.R.A. Maebh was great but Ruby was hard to watch, It's understandable though as they are very young. There seems to be a about a 50% success rate for the child actors in the show

When I grew up I never met a girl with the slightest interest in Doctor Who. I suppose it was similar all over the world and the lack of interested female writers is probably a reflection of that.

@stargazer0118 @Polyphase  OK, anything 50 years old doesn't work today. I hope The Shakespeare Society doesn't find out, They might all neck themselves:)

My point was that this is how the audience related to the alien Doctor and was for many years, It's only the last 2 Doctors that were given sweetiepie human personalities for the fangirls.

There's one line from Flatline I can't get out of my head. I think it's probably one of the most amazing lines in  Doctor Who. Clara was shocked, I was shocked and I can't wait to find out what's instorefor Clara.

Wow, I wish I hadn't red those 2 reviews? IMO this is one of the best episodes of the new series and the most riveting as well. I feel especially sorry for David as this statement

describes the show exactly as it was 50 years ago

"With the Doctor as a cold, heartless and often patronising alien, it’s Clara who’s been the audience surrogate and more relatable focus this series"

I've only read a few negative comments and thankfully no actual hate ones. I think we have to try and ignore extremely negative comments. I must say though, I get a bit hot under the collar when people say things like the Doctor was portrayed as prejudiced, stupid, and an all-around jerk :)
