@Seaborn W Deadman I don't think it's been too dark at all, I haven't laughed at Doctor Who this much since Tom Baker. I thought David and Matt were too dark sometimes. What has he done that was too much?

@Rani Nose Not only is he more gruff, but he has also been clueless and seriously wrong at important points in all four episodes.

That is pretty normal for the Doctor, He's been pretty much the same for 50 years :)

I think the Doctor will save the moon but maybe not all the astronauts. The Courtney character has peaked my curiosity and I'm looking forward to seeing her :)

I must say I'm really looking forward to the Mummy. I wonder if The Doctor will say

The main role of the companion was to ask the right questions, I'm surprised Moff didn't mention that. As for Clara I guess we will see where he is taking her story but we know it will be big.

Another great review, This episode is growing on me :)

The only thing that seems to escape explanation is that there IS a monster under that bedspread which we all saw for a brief moment :O

Great article, Makes lots of sense. I personally am not to bothereed by the scene as it doesn't spoil anything and it's great to see little snippets of the Doctors past :)

So everyone who owns a TV has to pay a licence fee? Do you have to pay for every TV you own or is it just a set fee? I must say I'm surprised that they still have this system over there whereas here in Australia every tax payer pays 12.2 cents per day to fund our ABC

2 days, 13 hours ago on Why The Decline in Overnight Ratings Doesn’t Matter

I liked it a lot more after the 2nd watch. Peter is as good as it gets and is really cementing himself as The Doctor. Clara is great too, Her face can be very expressive which becomes obvious at the end when she is under the bed. She can't allow the Doctor to meet himself and instinctively grabs the young Doctor by the ankle instantly realising the connotations, You can see in those few seconds the shock of realisation. This however makes the restaurant scenes seem out of character(Clara shy? Unlikely)

The Doctor screaming at her to get in the Tardis was also a great scene, I could go on and on :)

8/10

After Deep Breath I said I couldn't understand everything being said but It's not the accent in my case but the background noise and music that overpowers the dialogue. On the point of speaking fast I thought Matt was the worst for that and it took me a few viewings to catch everything.

8/10, Not as good as the previous 2 episodes

Great fun episode but Mark is as outragous as ever with the characters being so comedic. I particularly liked the robots helmet design, Thought it was a very classic style. Liked the spoon/sword fight, something the 7th doctor my have done and Ben Miller was fantastic :)

@ Notsosmartguy the dalek of Jersey

He had very little respect for human life especially non-British, His fixation with saving the British Empire above ending the wars quickly etc.

The Doctor historically doesn't get along with people like that

@twoheartsonemind There was a lot of reasons I didn't like it, The paradigm Daleks, The Spitfires in space etc. but it was the portrayal of Churchill that annoyed me the most. It's just too hard to imagine the Doctor being  friends with Churchill .

"It's covered with lines, but I didn’t do the frowning. Who frowned me this face?" And he wonders, "Why this one? Why did I chose this face? It’s like I’m trying to tell myself something. Like I’m trying to make a point. But what’s so important that I can’t just tell myself what I'm thinking?"

This has to be one of my favorite lines from Doctor Who, Absolutely wonderful :)

Looking forward to it, Marks scripts can either be great fun or quite dire. Also his version of history can be silly bordering on ridiculous, Victory of the Daleks for example

@XanderH I'm from Australia and I don't struggle too much with the accent just the poor sound. The music and effects are so loud I miss quite a bit of the dialogue. The Americans will cope like the rest of us, They will probably have subtitles, I've even seen that with Australian movies :)

Thanks for the lecture but no thanks. Kissing in Doctor Who shouldn't even happen, There's enough soapy dribble on TV without this show going down that path. I find the whole thing even becoming an issue quite strange as I haven't come across any homophobic comments yet
