@The Living Angel is Regenerating I agree, No one should be giving a score 1. Conversely I don't think people should be giving a 10 either, What about when a better episode comes along?

Oh no, Another one :(

What is it with these wonderful female actors being taken by cancer before her time, Makes you wonder whether they were all exposed to high levels of radiation like happened here in Australia.

It's so sad

@ Notsosmartguy Agent of C.L.A.R.A. I wish the "hate" word wasn't dug out every time someone disagrees with another opinions. I can probably speak for most of us when I say that I don't hate anything about Doctor Who. I also try to never use that word myself although not always successful.

Having said that I like your idea of teenage companion :)

@ Notsosmartguy Agent of C.L.A.R.A.  Why's that? Have you seen it or something? As long as they actually serve a purpose and can act to some degree I'll be fine with it. There are a few example of children who I wasn't keen on like Cloe Webber, George, Cyril Arwell or Angie & Artie :)

@EvilZygonRabbit Hey, I like that idea. A companion turning bad, I don't think that's happened before and could be incredibly interesting. Do you think Missy is Clara or someone else like Miss Hartigan?

@Ariel in Space Yes, It shows that the ratings mean nothing about the popularity of the show. For example  Love & Monsters, Fear Her and Daleks in Manhatten rated higher than Blink(6.6m). In fact only 4 episodes in the first 5 seasons rated lower than  Blink

Lots of great lines in this episode:)

This is huge!  Well, not literally huge, slightly smaller than usual.  Which is huge: The Doctor

Yes, I get it.  You’re excited.  When can I go home?:  Clara

“I mean this is just embarrassing. I’m from the race that built the Tardis. Dimensions are kind of our thing.”: The Doctor

Your last painting was so good it saved the world.  I can’t wait to see what you do next: The Doctor

It’s not going to be easy, I’ve got a hair band to live up to: Rigsy

Anyone know what Rigsy meant by this ?

I'm really liking this writer, he seems to get what the show is about. The pace and the humour is great as well as the clever resolutions. Surrendering to the Mummy and using the monsters own power to restore the Tardis was brilliant. He doesn't seem to give the background characters any lines though, Not so noticeable in Flatline but in Mummy it really stands out that none of the other scientists on the train say a word.

What is it with trains anyway, He must be a trainspotter :)

Really enjoyed the episode It was lots of fun. I found myself liking Rigsy alot, More than Danny and I think the Doctor did too. When the Tardis was stuck on the tracks I was thinking "Come on Doctor use your hand" It was a very funny scene. The only error was the way he stood it upright, Against all the laws of physics.

As usual I have to view a few more times before rating it but it will be high :)

That poem really freaked me out when I first read It as a child and seems to be leading us towards the netherspere.

What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the lamb make thee?

@Old Whovian Agreed, A female Doctor would ruin it for me. I've been hoping for years to have a more masculine doctor. Someone physically imposing like the 4th Doctor, I remember being quite blown away when he casually throws the Morbius monster over his shoulder and swaggers off :)

Again, Seems to be a recurring theme this series. I really hope it lives up to the hype and If I knew Moff I would beg him not to use any of the Cybermen suits that already have. No stomping, No deleteing, No Instant upgrades etc.

What a wonderful article. I think my love for art and Doctor Who started at about the same time and I remember the first time I saw a book on Vincents art I was blown away. So much so that as a teenager I bought a print of my favorite piece "Irises" and I still have it.

BTW: I have recently seen a brilliant documentary called  "Inside the Mind of Leonardo"  which stars Peter Capaldi as Leonardo and he is wonderful in it. I urge everyone to see it, You don't even have to be art fan as Leonardo was so much more and Peter is mesmerising :)

Sounds very interesting, A little bit of Logopolis and The Lodger in there. Looks like Clara is finally going to learn why it's so hard to be the Doctor and stop with the selfishness. Lets hope there's more to this back story than that as it's a bit soapy at the moment

Well this one seemed more difficult to rate than ever, Great monster, set, wardrobe, cast and resolution. I only had a few minor issues, The monster is on screen for too long which diminishes it's effectiveness and the lighting could have been a bit lower. The amount of time spent on the Clara domestics (as the 9th Doctor would say) is starting to get a bit much for Doctor Who as it's only a short show to start with it leaves little time for the story. Danny is starting to get annoying as he seems so wet, I do feel that something is lined up for Danny though that may change my views :)

9/10+ (My highest score yet)

An Egyptian goddess loose on the Orient Express, in space. Give us a mo. (to Amy and Rory) Sorry, something's come up. This will have to be goodbye: The Doctor

I know that it's been mentioned that this is the same adventure, Well Rory and Amy aren't in it and the Mummy wasn't an egyptian goddess. Am I missing the obvious or something?

What an enjoyable episode with great acting again especially Frank Skinner and I was surprised to see him invited aboard the Tardis. The Mummy was a very effective monster and well if not underused. Was shocked when the Doctor pulled out a cigarette case only to be delighted at what it contained. Foxes was obviously a distraction to confuse fans as I would not have even noticed her otherwise, She was onscreen for no more than a few seconds. Anyway I wil have to watch it a few more times before scoring it but it could be very high :) Plenty of  great lines as usual...

“I can’t tell whether you’re a genius or just incredibly arrogant.” Perkins

“On a good day, I’m both.” The Doctor
