What a strange article :)

He was saying it with his tongue in cheek. His point in the whole interview was that the Doctor shouldn't be a woman and if they want a female timelord why not a spin off. I must say that I agree with him about the Doctor :)

I suggest you lok for the whole interview

Oh how far Doctor Who has come in terms of its effects since the early days of wobbly, foam sets and papier-mâché monsters!

I get a bit sick of people saying this, In all the years I don't remember many wobbly sets at all. It's exaggerated greatly. Back in the day they had real stuntmen, Real explosions and real fires.

Personally I don't like CGI, It all looks so fake and dodgy, Just like everything the Americans make.

The Boneless standout however because the Idea itself was so ingenius that the obvious CGI effects fitted the monster perfectly :)

Amy, Riversong and Missy are all the same character. I don't know whether he dislikes women or not but they are certainly not the sort of women you would want to meet.

I feel that he is not the different Doctor, It's Matt and David that were different. I think the similarities between Peter and Tom are many and I think he is the best Doctor since Sylvester :)

@The Cosmic Hobo The key to time is great, The Stones of Blood and The Power of Kroll are particular standouts. I think I will dig that one out and watch it next after i've finished with The Destiny of the Daleks :)

The Captain: I'm gratified that you appreciate it.

The Doctor: [offended] Appreciate it? *Appreciate it?* What, you commit mass destruction and murder on a scale that's almost *inconceivable,* and you ask me to appreciate it? Just because you've happen to have made a brilliantly conceived *toy* out of the mummified remains of planets!

Great article. For some reason I'm not too keen on the Valeyard or the Dreamlord returning. As for famous actors they could get well there's 2 that are big fans of the show.

Robert Downey Jnr who could be a great villain

Tom Hanks who I would love to see play the villain :)

@TheCyberDoctor Interesting, As a draftsman I'm working in 2D/3D all the time and in my mind a 1D object could only be a straight line stretching in either the X,Y or Z plane. Anything other than a straight line would be 2D but if you can see the line it would be 2D as it would have thickness. So the 1D object would be a straight line that has no thickness which would make it invisible :)

Narrator: Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to ride up tall buildings on a triumph bonneville.

Man 1: Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird.

Woman: It’s a plane

Man 2: It’s the.................Doctor!

Narrator: Yes, it’s the Doctor, strange visitor from another planet who came to earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. The Doctor, who can change the course of mighty planets, bend spoons in his bare hands. And who, disguised as John Smith, mild-mannered timelord with penchant for pretty girls, fights a never ending battle for truth, justice and the Galifreyan way. And now another exciting episode in the adventures of The DOCTOR.

Am I the only one here who doesn't think this was necessary? We have all seen many Doctors and I thought Clara was too much of a distraction from our wonderful new Doctor.

I think it would be very interesting to see the Master pre Delgado. The Doctor was in his 3rd version when we first met him but that doesn't have to mean he was the first, He may have been the 11th Master.

If these Iplayer numbers are worldwide then there would have been alot of Australians watching the Top Gear special but the Doctor Who fans could watch on TV. The fact that Iplayer would be the only way to see any of these other shows would make a difference. Would this be the same for the rest of the world?
