When I grew up I never met a girl with the slightest interest in Doctor Who. I suppose it was similar all over the world and the lack of interested female writers is probably a reflection of that.

What a fantastic article. You have seen past the veil recognised the true Doctor that lives inside the 12th. I love the 12th Doctor :)

@stargazer0118 @Polyphase OK, anything 50 years old doesn't work today. I hope The Shakespeare Society doesn't find out, They might all neck themselves:)
My point was that this is how the audience related to the alien Doctor and was for many years, It's only the last 2 Doctors that were given sweetiepie human personalities for the fangirls.

There's one line from Flatline I can't get out of my head. I think it's probably one of the most amazing lines in Doctor Who. Clara was shocked, I was shocked and I can't wait to find out what's instorefor Clara.
"Why cant you just say I did good?": Clara
"You were an exceptional Doctor Clara, goodness had
nothing to do with it.": The Doctor

@DavrosLives Did you notice that in Mummy none of the other characters on the train say a word? Even when the Doctor asks all the scientists a question none of them answer. I thought it was strange
@MJJ I don't think Romana humbled herself before him or Sarah Jane or Liz or Tegan etc.

Wow, I wish I hadn't red those 2 reviews? IMO this is one of the best episodes of the new series and the most riveting as well. I feel especially sorry for David as this statement

Flatline by a fair way. I've said before that people shouldn't give an episode 10/10 because something better might come along. Well last week I gave Mummy a 9/10 and I don't know what to do now as I like Flatline more. Oh dear............
3 days ago on Face-Off: Mummy vs Flatline
I've only read a few negative comments and thankfully no actual hate ones. I think we have to try and ignore extremely negative comments. I must say though, I get a bit hot under the collar when people say things like the Doctor was portrayed as prejudiced, stupid, and an all-around jerk :)

@ Notsosmartguy Agent of C.L.A.R.A. I wish the "hate" word wasn't dug out every time someone disagrees with another opinions. I can probably speak for most of us when I say that I don't hate anything about Doctor Who. I also try to never use that word myself although not always successful.
Having said that I like your idea of teenage companion :)
3 days, 23 hours ago on In the Forest of the Night Promo Pics
@ Notsosmartguy Agent of C.L.A.R.A. Why's that? Have you seen it or something? As long as they actually serve a purpose and can act to some degree I'll be fine with it. There are a few example of children who I wasn't keen on like Cloe Webber, George, Cyril Arwell or Angie & Artie :)
Certainly looks the part and there's Lots of running. The way the Tardis is overgrown reminds me of The Seeds of Doom :)

@EvilZygonRabbit Hey, I like that idea. A companion turning bad, I don't think that's happened before and could be incredibly interesting. Do you think Missy is Clara or someone else like Miss Hartigan?
4 days, 18 hours ago on Rate & Discuss Flatline
@Ariel in Space Yes, It shows that the ratings mean nothing about the popularity of the show. For example Love & Monsters, Fear Her and Daleks in Manhatten rated higher than Blink(6.6m). In fact only 4 episodes in the first 5 seasons rated lower than Blink

Lots of great lines in this episode:)
This is huge! Well, not literally huge, slightly smaller than usual. Which is huge: The Doctor
Yes, I get it. You’re excited. When can I go home?: Clara
“I mean this is just embarrassing. I’m from the race that built the Tardis. Dimensions are kind of our thing.”: The Doctor
Your last painting was so good it saved the world. I can’t wait to see what you do next: The Doctor
It’s not going to be easy, I’ve got a hair band to live up to: Rigsy
Anyone know what Rigsy meant by this ?
4 days, 21 hours ago on Flatline Review
I'm really liking this writer, he seems to get what the show is about. The pace and the humour is great as well as the clever resolutions. Surrendering to the Mummy and using the monsters own power to restore the Tardis was brilliant. He doesn't seem to give the background characters any lines though, Not so noticeable in Flatline but in Mummy it really stands out that none of the other scientists on the train say a word.
What is it with trains anyway, He must be a trainspotter :)

Really enjoyed the episode It was lots of fun. I found myself liking Rigsy alot, More than Danny and I think the Doctor did too. When the Tardis was stuck on the tracks I was thinking "Come on Doctor use your hand" It was a very funny scene. The only error was the way he stood it upright, Against all the laws of physics.
As usual I have to view a few more times before rating it but it will be high :)

@Hibernus That's great, Maybe next time put a comb in your pocket. Remember they're bigger on the inside :)
@Old Whovian Agreed, A female Doctor would ruin it for me. I've been hoping for years to have a more masculine doctor. Someone physically imposing like the 4th Doctor, I remember being quite blown away when he casually throws the Morbius monster over his shoulder and swaggers off :)

Again, Seems to be a recurring theme this series. I really hope it lives up to the hype and If I knew Moff I would beg him not to use any of the Cybermen suits that already have. No stomping, No deleteing, No Instant upgrades etc.

What a wonderful article. I think my love for art and Doctor Who started at about the same time and I remember the first time I saw a book on Vincents art I was blown away. So much so that as a teenager I bought a print of my favorite piece "Irises" and I still have it.
BTW: I have recently seen a brilliant documentary called "Inside the Mind of Leonardo" which stars Peter Capaldi as Leonardo and he is wonderful in it. I urge everyone to see it, You don't even have to be art fan as Leonardo was so much more and Peter is mesmerising :)

Sounds very interesting, A little bit of Logopolis and The Lodger in there. Looks like Clara is finally going to learn why it's so hard to be the Doctor and stop with the selfishness. Lets hope there's more to this back story than that as it's a bit soapy at the moment
1 week, 2 days ago on Flatline Advance Review
Well this one seemed more difficult to rate than ever, Great monster, set, wardrobe, cast and resolution. I only had a few minor issues, The monster is on screen for too long which diminishes it's effectiveness and the lighting could have been a bit lower. The amount of time spent on the Clara domestics (as the 9th Doctor would say) is starting to get a bit much for Doctor Who as it's only a short show to start with it leaves little time for the story. Danny is starting to get annoying as he seems so wet, I do feel that something is lined up for Danny though that may change my views :)
