You can't make me..... fine. I seriously love them all. I think Listen is going to be perhaps the best and most intriguing. Deep Breath, exciting. Robots of Sherwood with Robin Hood, I think they are going to have some interesting chemistry between Hood and Doc. Hey, they are both legends and all, they should. The Caretaker should be very interesting, fast-paced. However I'm going to say Time Heist. Only Doctor Who can do that. The Doctor.... robbing a bank!!!! ALSO: Where are the posters? Doesn't look like it was going to be a thing, I so miss them. It shows me a little representation of the episode. What a shame!

I don't think it cheapens Day of the Doctor. Day of the Doctor was bold, fresh and anew. It showed the future. And Deep Breath IS the future. Though I'll be missing 3D, nothing is cooler than a room of enthusiastic, energetic, weird-looking but great-looking, Doctor Who fans. As Moffat said in an interview for Day of the Doctor, TV will still be TV. It's just giving the fans the opportunity to experience it in multiple ways. Again, Doctor Who is for everyone. It's the longest running sci-fi show in the world. And there's a reason why. Because it endeavors into the hearts of people. It's still Doctor Who. And we'll still love it!

Exactly! It relished my energy and love for Doctor Who. The "anywhere or anytime" part of Doctor Who really stood out. I also loved the emotions the Doctor faced in series 7. From trying to stay away from the Ponds because they might fade away, to having excessive guilt over the deaths of Amy and Rory. His eyes! Oh his eyes when he sees an impossible mystery of the impossible girl!

Series 7 always gets criticised. Shame on the those ones who hate or diss it. I am extremely angry at such ones. Some can't find a way to view this series as a privilege. Series 7 was bold, dynamic, exciting and enthusiastic. It honoured and climaxed 50 years of Doctor Who. Doctor Who is about an alien who travels through space and time. Series 7 did that. It's not everyday your on a spaceship of Dinosaurs then on a Wild West story with a Cyborg. What more can we ask, to have classic and new references each episode, to have gorgeous acting and superb storytelling. Series 7 gave us a glimpse into the life of The Doctor- and his emotional struggles within himself.

He owns NZ? Not quite yet. Infact, of cause most us in NZ love his work, but we're facing other problems too. I think it'll be cool to film in NZ, not because of media, but because there are some earth braking scenery. Doctor Who in New Zealand would be great, since, well... NZ was the first country outside of the UK to screen Doctor Who.

Eleven's first full TARDIS is easily my favorite design and console. However, that's me, I like fairy tale whimsical. However, I love the new approach. Matt got darker, and well, Peter Capaldi wouldn't fit in the previous console. I still have a deep love for Chris/Davids TARDIS. My favorite scene being New Earth, when the main column shines stark blue as his face grows to a smile. I love to mention the scene in the Five Doctors, and how they recreated that scene a bit on Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS.

I have just reviewed Dr Who Tv's spoiler policy, but I think it's just okay to comment. But there are rummors going on to suggest the BBC have brought the concept idea of a fan-made doctor who theme sequence. I've seen it (YouTube) but best not to, can't have me deleted.

I think it's cool. The reason why the eleventh uses it so many times, is because it's cool. For goodness sake, he thinks bow ties are cool, and he flirts with the TARDIS. The Doctor is pretty smart, and scanning about makes me wander he's only showing off.

I like to imagine or speculate that during the years or Trenzalore, the Doctor got more darker, and sinister on his approach. And that he slowly developed a good conscious (fixing children's toys) and a bad conscious (destroying the monsters on Trenzalore) and that sometimes, that more darker approach appears more frequently with this Doctor. That's perhaps why he asks Clara if he was a good man. And he tries his best to do so, but always falls. Perhaps that's the origin of The Valeyard, his bad conscious. It's exciting though!

I think he would be a little bit of a smart person. But completely mad! I'm more so interested in Clara's personality in with being with the new Doctor. Rose and David's was an interesting concept, but the fact that the companion is facing a darker Doctor.

Here we go again. However, I must say- it's very different from Matt Smith's era. Yet, at the same time, being the same comfort. Same TARDIS (loving the new, detective approach though) Same Sonic. Same Companion. However twisted in a different and unlikely way. Clara looks and acts differently with this Doctor; so it's awesome because now their chemistry is very different. And I'm not talking Tennant-Piper different, I MEAN VERY AWESOME DIFFERENT. I can't wait, new atmosphere and all.

Here's what I think! With this new era, they should change the focus on DIVERSITY! Just like series 7. Doctor Who needs some new original ideas, and I think Steven Moffat is just the right man to do it justice. I think the Daleks need a redesign, not in just design, but personality. I think their episodes should be greatly reduced. The Cybermen, I want them to have a new purpose in life. Not just to upgrade any non-cyberform, but a reason for living. Daleks are understandable, but Cybermen? They need a new lease in life. For example, doing something good and beneficial for themselves, but doing it all for the wrong reasons.

I think its best. Unless he is needed for a good enough purpose, McGann had a great era. Maybe not on television, but at least we got a movie, audio adventures, interesting plotline story, and we were so lucky to have him reappear in last years mini special.

1 month, 3 weeks ago on Is the Current Format a Serial Killer?

Reply

Classic Era format won't work. But that doesn't mean it doesn't need a change. The format needs a revamp. Only 14 episodes a year is pretty short (I know sherlock fans are going to get angry at that) but maybe they should change the filming schedule around. It takes 3-4 weeks per episode. Yet some shows make massive efforts to make episodes daily and still be cool. I'm not saying that the episodes should be daily, but perhaps a) shortened to 30 minutes, and double the amount of episodes or b) make 1 hour episodes for premier, mid, finale, and turn the episodes to 50 minutes. But stories carried on throughout the series wouldn't work. It may be quicker to produce, because of sets and actors, but Doctor Who is about variety. Series 7 is the best series to demonstrate it.

I have to say, the BBC have been great at television, but I don't think they show much respect for Doctor Who. Before Who began, people were doubting it. As someone meantioned here, Pertwee's era was going to be the last. When they shut Doctor Who down after the 7th. I even remember the Doctor Who movie, BBC told America its best to get Tom Baker as The Doctor again because he was more popular, or even restart the whole show. Thank God America said no that would destroy continuity. Have McGann. Who was very awesome. And now this? THANK YOU RUSSEL THE T DAVIES! Chris made the spark, David made it big, Matt made it everlasting. I thank all those who helped made Doctor Who carry on:D

If in that Parallel world and everything is opposite to the original world, doesn't that mean Gallifrey is back. And if the Timelords are back in that universe, doesn't that mean crossing over to Parallel worlds are possible. And having the TARDIS with the Meta-10th, he'll be able to do just that. Travel back.

I would of loved it if they went straight into action. Straight into Trezalore. No Clara making Dinner sub-plot. No checking things out sub-plot. Start with a scene where the Doctor is running for his life in a jungle inhabited by an alien tribe that wants to kill the Doctor. Like Indiana Jones, they could of done. And the thing the Doctor stole was an old book. So far, 4 minutes. He goes picks up Clara and shows her the book, this leads to Trenzalore to a time where everyone has assembled. And The Doctor's greatest enemies have forced him to go in. Once in, he unlocks the secret, Doctor Who, and then the enemies begin their decent on Trenzalore. So far, 15 minutes. The Doctor  has to protect Christmas City, and the bell. Have 10 minutes on Daleks, 10 minutes on Cybermen and Others (mixed range) This leaves 15 minutes left. Have a huge 12 minute battle and final 3 minute regeneration. WOULD BE AWESOME! But I love the Time of the Doctor.

3 months ago on An Opinion Divided: The Time of the Doctor

Reply

@JamieJones723  Yeah. They should change the time to 1hr. That would be way better and only contributes to an extra 15min of screen time. The writers dont need to feel pressured into pushing as much as possible in 45min. Christmas Specials could be more film-length, like 1hr and a half. But personally, I don't want Christmas Specials anymore. It would be great if they could focus on the episodes. I think we can have a Christmas Special now and then as treats, but finding the ideas to a Christmas Adventure would be quite hard as The Doctor is an alien and time traveller, he could of visit every christmas day.

This is my theory: When Gallifrey gave the Doctor a whole new set of regeneration, it pre-chose what faces he would encounter. (Remember the scene in The War Games? They can choose) What if they chose faces that would help the Doctor save them, them being Gallifrey? They would have chosen faces that are useful and interesting, and are relevant to their survival. We know Frobisher is the direct opposite to Ceacilius. They are different versions. And The Doctor needs to go find them to understand what it is that is needed. Frobisher maybe didn't die. He's still out there.

I've always loved a big crowd in the TARDIS. It just gives The Doctor more chance to show off to all of them at the same time. I loved Peter Davison's era of Companions, and how each could play off with one character while The Doctor can feel like a father or something.
