@Notsosmartguy Agent of M.I.S.S.Y. @Gustaff @TheNightmareChild is terrified about Dark Water @The Lazy Cat Has Gone to Heaven... With Clara. Well given all the other stuff it can do, I should think so. besides, in that scene Clara and the Doctor looked isolated so even getting past him into the TARDIS would take a lot. I know we won't see force...it'll probably end in a cop-out (Doctor gives in to her demands).
That's my prediction. Nothing bad will happen to either Clara or the Doctor...nothing severe or critical or lasting anyway.

@TheNightmareChild is terrified about Dark Water @Gustaff @The Lazy Cat Has Gone to Heaven... With Clara. Oh, it's been stolen lots of times. Thomas Brewster, Klein, the Master etc
If there aren't safety precautions in his 12th incarnation then the Doctor deserves to have his TARDIS stolen.

@MetamorphmagusWho has "got it memorised" No I suspect "MISSY" is the cipher key needed to solve one of the other hints (maybe a keyed caeser code).

Hidden code disguised as all the hints: One letter in most of the hints is italic and it together spells out: MISSY

@The Not-So-Lazy Cat: Clara Detective @Gustaff There better be. Though, like I said - take it off her by force. If it is a case of Danny over the world, then it plays up a great choice.
4 hours, 12 minutes ago on Dark Water – Hints & Teasers (Set #2)
@The Not-So-Lazy Cat: Clara Detective @Gustaff I just hope they setup something more threatening than holding the TARDIS key hostage. Seriously? He can open the TARDIS by snapping his fingers even when the door has been locked with the key. Besides, if he can't talk her into giving him the key, then he'll just take it off her by force if he have to. I'm sure 12 would be like that. 11 would have hesitated, but 12 won't.

No offense to John as I admire his usual optimism, but for him to say it sucked really means something since he is usually so passionate about this show. I agree btw

Yeah, what's the point of a story if there are no stakes?
Actually, this story might've worked as a cute minisode instead?

I predicted everyone except Angels and Death. Thought you would've put in Astronaut and Day.

@Calebxy 6.5/10 for me. Okay, but nothing spectacular. The first half was very interesting, but the second dragged and yes - the 'magical she is back' ending chokeslammed the last bits out of it for me.

Watching this fairy tale, I couldn't help but compare it to the last one I watched: Disney's Frozen.
Guess who won?
@BollingerKnickers Not when they're that opposite. It's like a Republican dating a Democrat or better yet: A Jetson marrying a Flintstone.
@yoshfiction How about some audio dramas?
5 days, 22 hours ago on Conversation @ http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/discusswho/062014/
@yoshfiction Take a break or find something new to watch just to shift the focus a little bit. I'd say that if it were midseason, but we only have 2 episodes left so I say fight through. Hopefully you'll feel better next year.

@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff NO! Not nearly big enough!
@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff Well naturally I'm inviting people, but some of us have to prep the venue - organize the drinks, check the music and sound equipment and make sure the food doesn't taste like crap (I do so hate starving).
@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff I'll catch the episode tomorrow on the big day. Will spend tonight getting my friends plastered, film their drunkenness and post it on Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and whatever other media I have.
Aren't I a good friend?
@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff Actually tomorrow is my birthday but I'm throwing a party tonight (because who parties on Sunday?) so we've all been scrambling to get everything ready.
Number 7 can only mean one thing: https:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwer1CiteBg
I actually find Sky Smith cringe worthy.
Dislike: Sky, George, Cyril, Lily, Chloe, Angie, Artie and Courtney.
Like: Amelia, Kazran, Merry Gejelh, kid-Danny
Also let's not forget kid-Nyssa and kid-Tegan from Mawdryn Undead. Those two were flatter than a sheet of paper.
1 week ago on Won’t Somebody Think of the Children!?
They're not always bad, but when they are, it can be more deadly to a story than a bullet, especially since we only get 14 episodes of DW a year.
I remember Emily Hirst giving the absolute best child actor performance in The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Her portrayal in that film was one of the most spectacular and heartwarming performances that I have ever observed. I cried BUCKETS and she was only 15!
@The Finn @Gustaff @sontaran17 Nah, the telepathic circuits weren't really referenced at all during the Classic Era save maybe two or three. I'm also having trouble remembering the story if it was explained.
One of the oddest examples of translating had the Doctor land on a planet where the population communicated via smell of all things. The TARDIS had no trouble translating that both ways.
As far as I know, the only things in our universe the TARDIS doesn't translate is Gallifreyan since that would be redundant.
1 week ago on Conversation @ http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/discusswho/062014/
@The Finn @sontaran17 I believe the line is "You taught me!" Doubles as fridge brilliance since she was talking to the TARDIS there, but it sounded like she was talking to him at the same time. If she had went "But Doctor, you taught me", then I might be inclined to see it as an inconsistency.
The reason some example why Beast's language wasn't translated was because it
pre-dated the known universe. Anything from this universe can be
translated by it.
But the Doctor said that no one has ever translated the writing on the cliff face. Just because nobody has ever succeeded does not equate that it is untranslatable. I doubt anyone has ever attempted to land a TARDIS in it's vicinity.
Also, keep in mind that Flatline had the Doctor saying that the TARDIS can translate anything in our universe. Again, the Beast's text for example predates our universe = not part of it.
@supermoff, agent of C.L.A.R.A. They used that already for Into the Dalek. They are only allowed one line like that per season. My predictions:
S09E07 = greatest challenge
S09E13 = most dangerous place in the universe

@sontaran17 @supermoff, agent of C.L.A.R.A. @Gustaff @LGwalchmai95 Doctor Who = Disney Death
@sontaran17 @Gustaff @supermoff, agent of C.L.A.R.A. @LGwalchmai95 No. I was thinking more along the line of 'I never want to see you AGAIN' - cue new season and all their issues are gone, dealt with off-screen.
@supermoff, agent of C.L.A.R.A. @LGwalchmai95 Or until season 9 episode 1.
The Doctor must be facing his challenges in order of increasing difficulty.
Please be in-universe sacrifices and not out like the hype or our understanding of what the term sacrifice actually means.
@Calebxy @doctorwhotvuk I can't wait to read how Kill The Moon (TM) science works.
1 week, 1 day ago on Conversation @ http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/discusswho/062014/
@doctorwhotvuk I believe them. You are obviously one of those people that will not watch the episode even thought you got it before anyone else and just make stuff up instead. You are pointlessly cruel that way.
Some people are idiots I swear. I mean seriously! Who thinks a site of this magnitude reviews something based on a 20sec promo?
Perhaps you need to consider making the who site invite only. Just imagine the braincells we could save. Or how about you make a special post explaining that:
1) You do actually watch the episode (multiple times from what I read) before you review something and
2) You do not run DW
People seem to get those two very mixed up. Maybe add a thumbnail picture of a character with egg on their face or a very stupid expression - you know, just to help get the point across.
Also, dont breathe, dont touch the walls, avoid shadow, dont look under the bed...etc
1 week, 1 day ago on Neil Gaiman on Hopes for Capaldi Episode
One of my all time favs. I have an obsession with that story. It's fantastic. I'd even put it as the best Sontaran story in DW history.
Without angie or artie, I'd bump it up to a 9/10
Raynor is the only new who writer that have written the Sontarans effectively. Everyone else has robbed them of their clonehood.
I'm fairly certain that this was the worst Sontaran impression I have ever heard which is a shame as it is coming from the Dan Starkey himself.

@Djornad @Gustaff No. Haven't played telltale. Honestly though, I want the Japanese to make the next DW game. English writers, Japanese makers, American budget. That's what I'm holding out for.
1 week, 2 days ago on Conversation @ http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/discusswho/062014/
Just heard from a buddy in the UK. The Doctor and the Dalek = dud
Seems I was right. Just some random dialogue from Peter Capaldi with no real story. On the gameplay, the guy told me that it was 'indeed made for CBBC' as it is ridiculously easy to solve and just reeks of education.
That doesn't surprise me as it was what the game was designed for, but I also get that there are quite a few games that hide their 'education' within the game to make learning unnoticeable. TDATD unfortunately is not like that it seems.
I get this is a family program, but there are also quite a lot of mature viewers. How about making something worthwhile for the WHOLE family and not just the under 13s? I really don't mind spending money to buy the game so you don't have to make a cheap freely available one. I'll settle for an expensive good one also. Out of the two games I was looking forward to (the other being Legend of Korra), both turned into a letdown. In Korra's case, I lost money since I had to buy it and it was just the endless runner mini-game that was good.
This is why I stick to Final Fantasy. Takes a hell of a long time to make, burns a hole in your wallet, but they make 'em good! They make 'em great!
@MrRazza is regenerating @Gustaff Those people have some great PR departments. Even the Doctor was
scared. If I was him, I'd let the thing roam free. Not as though it can
kill a planet full of moving people. Maybe if they all stopped, he'd
have a shot. If anything, Blitz should go into demolition.
1 week, 3 days ago on 2nd Opinion: Flatline
@Mikeyboss182 He met that soldier guy in Mummy and didn't seem to mind.
Speaking of the Blitz monster from Caretaker...anyone else wonder how a robot described as the most dangerous killing machine ever created only managed to hit one target all episode - and that target was STANDING STILL!
