"...He doesn’t quite understand human beings or really care very much about their approval."
That sounds interesting. it's funny that they're talking about 'real' characters when Jenna is playing Clara.
I just hope they turn it back to the days when the Doctor actually did the saving most of the time. I don't care about dark or mature or silly, just the basics
46 minutes ago on Capaldi’s Doctor More Alien, Less “human-friendly”
It worked great with 11. Alex even mentioned that Matt is easy to flirt with because he's very flirty. Kinda creates the impression Matt wanted that as part of his run.
2 days, 1 hour ago on Capaldi was Adamant About No Flirting in Series 8
Just like the show runner has the right to do whatever they want with the show during their era, the actor playing the Doctor has to be given the same power. This is his incarnation and I'm happy the Clara flirting stops. Never really worked. That's a River thing. Leave the River thing alone.
No! He had a bright idea, a light bulb if u will, but unfortunately it was coming out of his...
2 days, 19 hours ago on Listen! Series 8 Teaser Trailer
seriously though, no. I think he's just up there changing the bulb when the production team called him over
Teaser was dead accurate. I feel so excited and so annoyed having to wait another month. Honestly, teasing this hard should be illegal or at least come with a major fine attached.
PS: anybody given any thought as to what 12's new catch phrase will be?
I believe this is what we character development. Characters start off flawed and gradually become something better. Sounds like u only watched series one.

Let's not forget the tie-in full cast audio dramas set between Season 2 and Season 3:
Lost Souls (ft Martha Jones)
The Dead Line
The Devil and Miss Carew
The House of the Dead
Brilliant article Connor. Gwen Cooper is one of those characters that got the most character development. A believable, flawed, character that one could relate to and who eventually transformed into a beautifully sculpted individual. Kudos!

@The Watchful Guardian Wasn't it The Sound of Drums with the chips scene? That rumor finally getting squashed must've upset people.
"You watch too much TV."
Yes Doctor - we watch too much Doctor Who!
The comment about putting something into a script just to annoy certain people being bad and rude is very unusual. It's not exactly a new thing. DW scripts are littered with stealth insults directed at some portion of the fandom. Eg:
The Big Bang: The Amelia drink paradox is put there because a lot of fans don't understand how time travel works, so putting it in to serve no plot point, but just to confuse those who don't get it and entertain those who do, is a mild insult towards the former.
The Almost People: "We've moved on" right after hearing David Tennant say "I'm the Doctor" is clearly meant to remind certain fans who still cling to Ten to just get over it already.
Name of the Doctor: The Doctor scolding Clara "You lot never listen" for not coming to the right conclusion regarding "The Doctor has a secret, he will take to the grave. It is discovered" is aimed at berating certain fans who don't pay proper attention to the plot strands Moffat puts in his stories and who then complains that he screwed them over afterwards.
There's lots more out there. Which is your favorite?
@sontaran17 Thank you for the defense from that random guy I've never talked to before.
Side-note: Doesn't really bother me. Don't waste your time Connor. You and I both know who who's the man. There is this inner circle of dedicated fans that understand each other even if the comment reflects the polar opposite. We should focus on those people.
I tune out/ignore all negative comments from people I don't know, I take those from who I do know as criticism I can use to improve and I generally feel good about any positive comment, no matter who it's from. One guy's opinion, especially one who spent the better part of his time arguing the same point across various comments obviously has no real life and should be ignored.
Again, thanks for the assist. I only saw the comment just now.
Ok. Sorry about that. Looking forward to a particular title this year?

@supermoff @Gustaff We do! You want darker Who, well nothing says dark like a cluster of F-bombs, A-bombs and every other kind of bomb (excluding reality bomb of course)
@supermoff @Gustaff He should be like: "Anybody who makes it their business to call me Number Twelve makes it my business and my business involves a foot in their a**."
5 days, 3 hours ago on Moffat Questions “Twelfth Doctor” Title
Oh, now I really want to see this scene somewhere in Series 8:
Doctor: Hello! This is Clara and I'm the -
New character: The Twelfth Doctor. Yes. I know.
Doctor: (raises brow) I'm sorry, what did you just call me.
New character: Doctor -
Doctor: Before that? What the hell did you just call me?
New character: I'm sorry sir. You are the Twelfth Doctor, aren't you?
Doctor: Listen here! I am the Doctor. Just the Doctor. Not your nanny's Doctor. Not the Twelfth
Doctor or the Polka Dotted Doctor - JUST THE BLOODY DOCTOR! Got that?
New character: Yes sir. Sorry sir. Won't happen again sir.
Doctor: Good. Now fetch me some tea and get the hell out of my face.
...please Moffat, irritate fans and put something like this in there somewhere. PLZ!
@Planet of the Deaf @Notsosmartguy approves of female thor I sometimes think he does it on purpose just to get a rile out of the portion of the fans he knows hates him and will take it out of context.
@TheIdleIdol The only reason he uses numbering is to try and not to confuse other people. It's like when different incarnations meet and sometimes use numbers to talk to each other. There'd be chaos if people kept calling 'Doctor?' and twelve people suddenly went 'What?' at the same time
I spot three words in that interview that fans could be taken the wrong way (actually, manipulated on purpose) and start an argument for the sake of starting an argument. Watch this space.
PS: What SM is actually saying is that name one instance in any medium where the Doctor has met a new person for the first time and introduced himself as: "Hello, I'm the [N]th Doctor and this is my friend [insert companion name]." Has never happened.
@Who is the Doctor So true, I'm about 40 titles away from owning everything there is regarding Big Finish Doctor Who (and spin-offs). Not really a fan of the non-Doctor Who stuff they do. I'm sure it's brilliant, but DW is where my heart (and my wallet) is at.

@ilyootha is in the Divergent Universe I limited myself to selecting one standout story for each year Big Finish produced so that's why some choices seemed odd. These titles are what I consider the highlight story of each of the 15 years of Big Finish
@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff you're up late or is that just me?

@Esterath Yeah, that victory holds the same value as correctly guessing that Omega will be the main villain for series 9 after guessing wrong every other time.
PS: Omega isn't really the head villain, just an example.

6 days, 20 hours ago on Conversation @ http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/discusswho/062014/
Just noticed somethign really interesting about Silence in the Library regarding River Song. When she and the Doctor do diaries, she lists the Crash of Byzantium first and when she realizes it's even earlier than that, "very early days", she lists Picnic at Asgard and The Bone Meadows next.
Since we know from the Angels 2-parter that this was the 11th Doctor's first encounter with River Song, but the logic that supports River listing off adventures that took place even earlier than that - it's highly probable that the latter two adventures she lists are with the 10th Doctor at a later point in his life, possible somewhere after Journey's End. She did claim he looked younger, but now I think she meant the incarnation's face literally looked younger, not the Doctor himself, though that applies too since this is the Doctor's first encounter with her from his POV.

I'm assuming that Steven Moffat will reprise his role as the evil overlord showrunner who crushes everybody's hopes and dreams.
6 days, 22 hours ago on Colin Baker on Five(ish) Doctors Sequel
I agree. I'd really like another one, but I also think doing number 2 would just spoil it and make the original less shiny if u know what I mean.
I just want a Doctor Who where the Doctor saves the day 8/10 times instead of his companion doing it. Eleven as a hero was pretty pathetic towards the end of his era. Clara always saves his behind. Its annoying.

@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff The ones I mentioned are really terrific. The writing is unrecognizable compared to what he got in the 80s. There's a reason Colin is voted the best audio Doctor and that the titles I mentioned.

@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff If you weren't that into Sixie, after listening to some of these, you will be. Garun - damn teed!
@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff Well, like many Who fans, I suffer from Consumer Syndrome so I have to get every title.
Actually no, I don't have a list of all time best, but I did a list for best Colin Baker stories for Baker's birthday. You can read it here: http: //goo.gl/7AqWKh
@Runcible @Gustaff Well, it's all digital, so you have to hack my computer. That tip is free. Next one will cost you ha!
@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff Or spitballing! I suppose I can't argue since I sometimes did that, but usually I just skip to the next one. Year 3 Accounting you never finish and we have 4 hours to write exams. Can't waste time on imagination.
@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff It's bad when that happens. I know that profs sometimes deliberately design quick tests and then people mess that up by stockpiling info instead of answering the bloody question.
@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff What I do is put on a really boring audio drama. Some of BF titles are so bad that I actually use them to help me fall asleep. It's quite effective.
The brain registers the story being played, but quickly forgets the information because it isn't interesting and instead decides that sleep would be more interesting. It is a fascinating experiment.
@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff I had a teaching assistant's job while I was at Uni. I remember how stupid people there were. I had to grade their tests. Oddly enough, I never got angry, I didn't pity them or anything, just handed out low to zero scores.
Sometimes I would go thirty people who scored Fs consecutively. Too bad, so sad!
Not counting Doctor Who Unbound, Short Trips Audiobooks, Charlotte Pollard Adventures and titles that have not yet been released, I am now less than 40 titles away from owning every single Big Finish DW and (spin-off) story on there is:
I started my BF collection late 2009. I consider this quite the feat. Even surprised myself when I double-checked my excel checklist. Wonder what I'm going to do once I finish. (Trouble...)
@Clara Laurinda @Gustaff Fav Classic Doctor so far? I ask since I don't know how much exposure you've had to each.
