I agree CN...but we certainly have a resourse now like SOFREP via the Internet....and gas in my area is fast approaching $2 a gallon...

But a movie ticket is still $14....

Holy "Smokes" YP - there can't be but a few hundred people left on the planet that could trot that type of experience out....

I do remember the snack sellers...but not the smoking rooms....of course I grew up in very rural USA, the nearest theater to us was 40 miles away....single screen and a real trip for a movie.....and a drive in to boot

This is a great next step for SOFREP to be sure.....

As to seeing this country..it has to be done on the back roads....

Wander through oil-patch Texas with the roughnecks, drive the back roads to Camden Arkansas, climb a 14er with the hippies, run the Leadville 100.....surf off the PCH...go to a college football game in the Midwest...go to Ruggerfest in the fall..Cruise across Northern Arizona.....fish a secluded river....

This is a huge country with lots of freaks and weirds....

Very Glad you got home intact

Exactly....hard to not look at any of this methodology without really looking hard at SS, RLI, 32 Bat, Koevoet, SOG, LRDP, LRRP, etc...history can and will repeat itself, we only have to open our minds to see the solutions....

I can easily see this model working...the turned terrs may be difficult to keep turned leading to triple crosses but the idea looks to be very sound...erode the very thing ISIS needs to become to govern and not just wreck....

And a very Happy Thanksgiving to all at SOFREP...There is plenty to be thankful for in this Republic...

This "little" work of Brandon and Jack's is a haven of knowledge and conversation not seen in many decades...

Now for all you contemplating the Christmas shopping fracas if you are an amazon person you can pick your favoritte charity (The Red Circle Foundation is mine...) at smile.amazon.com so a bit from every purchase get's donated...I like Bezo's company for other reasons but this is pretty good too...

Have a great day all!

Very good reminder all around that actually the stakes are very high in this business....

And thankfully we will never know about all the successes the business has had...or we would all crawl in a hole to wait for the apocalypse I imagine......

Imagination definitely has to come up though...we got to think evil to stop evil unfortunately...really brainstorm all ideas and get them up on the board...find solutions after all the ideas are up...
